wow expensive! i knew it would be, but one day at the parks is so $$$$$. any way to get a discount on 1 day tickets? how about 2 day tickets? we can squeeze in a late afternoon/evening the night before our full day, but didn't really want to cut time short with our family. not willing to give up maxpass or hopping. ideas?

Yeah they nail you hard for one day passes, I found that out this summer with my staff team at a conference. Places like Undercover Tourist and Getawaytoday don't have 1 day park hoppers, they do have deals on two days, but even then the savings is only $10-12. If your employer is part of Tickets At Work you might check them out.

Tickets at Work adds tax and fees to their tickets, so once you add that on, it ends up to be almost the exact same price as if you bought them directly from Disney. It's not as great a deal as it seems.

I've looked in the past and have yet to find any discounts on 1-day tickets, unfortunately.

Best deal I was able to find for a one- day ticket was to buy Disney gift cards at Target for 5% off with a Red Card, consolidate at Disneygiftcard.com and then buy direct from Disney. Anything extra on the gift cards can be used for park expenses to save the same 5%

Are you super, incredibly sure you can't give up hopping? A 2 day/1park per day ticket is only about $16 more (through Undercover Tourist) than a 1 day peak hopper.

Hm..........ok. Will look into this. I have to see what the Easter plan is with the family. I'd feel guilty cutting it short, but this does sound interesting.

If I were to buy a 2 day/1 park per day WITHOUT maxpass, can I add on maxpass on our second day once there?

Does maxpass help on a super busy day when you can’t enter the park until about 3? This would be at Disneyland not DCA.

It can, mainly because you can potentially pick up cancelled FPs, but that’s not a guarantee. Whether it’s “worth it” depends on your priorities, whether you can do single rider, etc... it’s possible you could pick up a few cancellations and it would have a lot of value, or it’s possible you wouldn’t score any and you might not be able to book a ton late in the day if it’s honestly a “super busy” day. So it’s a bit of a gamble.
