The kids and I will be getting APs, but hubby is only coming along for 2 days. So far, I am planning on trying to hit rides that are NOT at DL/DCA or different or mainstays.

MK -
Seven Dwarves Mine Train
People Mover
Splash Mountain
Space Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain
Carousel of Progress
It's a Small World
Festival of Fantasy
Monster Inc Laugh Floor
Haunted Mansion
Philharmagic
Buzz Lightyear

Maybes if we have time -
Swiss Family Treehouse
Jungle Cruise
Little Mermaid
Peter Pan
Winnie the Pooh

Epcot -
Frozen Ever After
Spaceship Earth
Mission Space (wasn't impressed with this when it came out so this may be skippable)
Test Track
Living With the Land
Figment
Agent P?
Gran Fiesta Tour
Soarin'
Voices of Liberty
American Adventure
Canada Film
Illuminations

Anything I should cut or add? We will be going in the beginning of May so crowds shouldn't be too terrible, I'm hoping.

I'll recommend Haunted Mansion at MK because it is a bit different from the DL version. I'd say it was better (it is a little longer) but now that you guy's have Hatbox, that's a show-stealer. Still there are some different effects too, like the Hitchhiking Ghosts.

Soarin' will also have a different ending at Epcot now. I would hit the Gran Fiesta Tour at Epcot and also I really like Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor at MK.

Stay off of POTC unless you want to be disappointed (the queue is cooler than DL though)!

Got it! Yeah, I just looked up ride length for POTC in DL and WDW and wow, it's half the length at WDW :( I thought I had Soarin' on there, added it HM and Gran Fiesta.

I should add Philharmagic, too, right? And Jungle Cruise...
Yes for Philharmagic. We are DLR vets and when first-timer friends are with us, Philharmagic is a must-do.

Jungle Cruise is basically the same so we only ride it when it has the Christmas overlay.

Jungle Cruise at MK still has the temple that you go through while the DL version does not. All the jokes are the same though.

I also agree that Philharmagic is pretty good and worth seeing.

The WDW version has the temple which I think is really cool, but besides that, it is mostly the same.

I grew up in Southern California, and recently moved away sadly. So, I would definitely see PhilharMagic. It is one of my favorite 3D movies Disney has done. I would also like to point out that Peter Pan is slightly different I think. I also think Winnie the Pooh is different, but it has been a long time since I have been on it at DLR that I can't say for sure. The old Disneyland favorite, Country Bear Jamboree, is also at Walt Disney World. I know DCA has the Little Mermaid, but I really like walking through the line at the WDW version.

Epcot...I would add the American Adventure and see a performance of the Voices of Liberty. Also, the Canada film is one of my favorites.

Added! I'm mostly concentrating on stuff DH would like since the kids and I can focus on the younger kid stuff later. I need to add Buzz Lightyear - I know DH loves it.

Good memory! :) The MK Pooh vehicles bounce up and down whereas at DL it's a smooth, even ride. I'm always distracted by looking for hidden Mickeys so I don't know if it's the same scenery along the ride or not.

Gotcha. I have seen kids really enjoy the Voices of Liberty. I don't know if they would enjoy the 30 minute animatronic stage show then. Possibly. The films in Canada and China are circle-vision, so those are pretty cool to see. I always notice something different on those films.

Also, the line has the interactive queue along with Peter Pan and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

The films would be good for a rest period though :D I plan on those days being longer days so easier to put shows in for resting.

Added! I'm doing the maybes if we have time on the day with DH but definitely putting that down in my must do in general. I'll be there in the parks with the kids for a few days before DH gets there.

Your lists are pretty extensive. I would say your MK plan is doable as long as you FP 7DMT, Space Mtn., and Buzz.........given there are so many attractions, line time could be extensive. Your Epcot plan is interesting in that you can only FP one of the big 3 (Frozen, Test Track, and Soar'in)...........if you arrive early.......you have a better shot of limiting wait times. If I were you I'd FP Frozen...........do Single Rider for Test Track.........and maybe do Soar'in at the end of the day. The only thing I see that you left out was Illuminations.

Best of luck!

Doug :goofy:

I was planning on FPing Frozen for sure, if it comes down to it, I can send DH and oldest into single rider line for Test Track (she's 8.5, is that old enough for single rider?).
TOTALLY forgot about Illuminations! Adding that now.

And as soon as you enter the FP line for FP#3, use the app to book Fp#4 and so on. This will save you a lot of time in MK especially if you can FP rides that are in close proximity to you.

Will do, we do something similar at DL (and when the youngest was shorter, utilizing childswap was marvelous!) We may be able to still use him for childswap on some of the rides, he's only 44" now.
