We are going on a DCL cruise in January. The week before the cruise, we'll be staying at BCV's and want a change for the night before we go (DVC members- trying to save weekend points). We are not planning on going to any parks that day- we just want a beautiful, relaxing, nice resort with nice concierge services (never stayed concierge before) with good food and maybe a great view of a park. Any suggestions you all have would be appreciated.

I really enjoyed concierge at the Wilderness Lodge. The staff was incredible, we enjoyed the hotel, the food was very good. I have tried AKL concierge and liked the offerings at the WL a bit more. No real view of a park from WL, though. We had a view of the castle but it was fairly distant and over trees. For a view of the park, Poly has some great views, as does GF main concierge lodge. I would recommend GF just for the jacuzzi (Poly lacks one) but we have never personally tried GF's concierge, so I can't help that way. We have stayed at GF several times and it is my favorite resort.

I have heard good things about Boardwalk's concierge as well. For one night it might be fun to walk around the Boardwalk and you could have some views of the international section of Epcot from the Boardwalk. I thought our room at the Boardwalk was gorgeous.

I have only stayed in 2 & 1/2 concerige's also YC and POLY, & CR Club, and really don't think I would really go out for any of them again. BUT I really some day want at least 1 nite on the 14th floor of the Contempary Resort! (not the club);) This is one of the best secrets around. Only a few pictures even surfaced about the 14th floor. What does it look like up there, what is the lay out? Why isn't it open to the atrium? The pictures are wonderful. ;) One day we plan to do it. And its gonna be like your day, when you plan to just hang out there all day! I would seriously consider this, as an option. :wave2:

We did a one night stay at the AKL concierge. It was our first time staying at the AKL. We checked in at 9:30 am and we hung out all day and night. We stayed as long as we could the next day. There are all sorts of activities to do at the resort. The concierge lounge has different offerings throughout the day. We loved it. We spent two nights this past January and we're going again for just two nights this August. It's a great place to just relax.
