Hi to everyone, My family is cruising on the Magic and we have 1 day at WDW and I'm trying to get an idea on what park to visit first and what rides should we try to get on. We will have 3 fast passes from the cruise ship. Any idea's and help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well, it may help to know the makeup of your travelling party and their interests. Have you been to WDW before? IF not, then you definitely want to do Magic Kingdom. It's going to have the most stuff and the classic Disney feel. It may depend on the ages of the kids though, and there is certainly plenty to enjoy at the other parks. I would probably recommend Animal Kingdom second these days with Pandora and all. Really though, MK is hard to beat!

What ages/interests? If you have never been, would definitely say MK. Give us some more info, and we can help you decide on the best park and Fast Passes!

sorry, 3 adults, 1 Child (10) and for myself it's been years since I've been to WDW as for the rest of the family they have never been to WDW

Absolutely Magic Kingdom then. If you only have one day and most of your party hasn't been to WDW then you just have to do Magic Kingdom! haha

As for FastPasses....If your party enjoys roller coasters then Seven Dwarves Mine Train is an important FastPass to try to obtain. That ride has the longest wait time in the park. After that you can choose from rides like Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and Peter Pan's Flight. Those are the rides that typically have the next longest wait times. Any of the 3 mountain rides are worth a FastPass. My personal favorite of the two are Big Thunder and Splash Mountain. If you don't mind getting a little wet and your party members don't mind a big drop, Splash Mountain is a must!

Post #8 of the FP FAQ has FP suggestions. It does not account for personal preference, only for which FPs are likely to save you the most time.

Okay, so I'll reiterate Magic Kingdom. If you want to make the most of your FastPass selections, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain are the main priorities, and Also Peter Pan, though I recommend doing that right when the park opens. After that, Big Thunder or Splash Mountains or Buzz Lightyear are good choices. Remember that if you schedule them early you can get more FP's after on your My Disney Experience app. Many rides at MK will have later availability, but pick what interests you. Some rides, like Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean get long lines too, but they move faster. Definitely remember to make time for Festival of Fantasy parade and Happily Ever After fireworks. Have fun!

Standard answer, if you can only visit one park, its MK.
Agree with pp about FPs- 7DMT, BTMRR, and then either Peter Pan/Splash Mountain or Space Mountain depending what you prefer.
Have a great trip.

Thanks to all for your answers, I have been downloading some you-tube video's of some of the rides so we can get an idea for my granddaughter what she might like.
