I've been thinking about WDW a lot lately and a question popped into my head! How long to you stay at the Theme Parks? Do you spend a day each, or can't get enough and come back several times during your stay? Maybe you do a half a day at AK and a half at MGM? What do you normally do?

For my family it has always depended on the crowds and weather.

However we can always open and close the MK - but we would really struggle to do this at MGM or AK.

When I was younger I used to always rush through the parks at a fast pace, hopping from one to the other, back and forth all day. Now that I'm older and married with kids I don't mind taking a more leisurely pace. This could mean that we get to a park late morning and stay into the evening or it could mean that we stay from morning to close. We don't really do park hopping though. If anything, we might jump on the monorail to eat someplace to break up the day.

Hmmm..interesting question...it depends upon the length of time, but we would generally in a trip do the following;

MK - the most time spent here, approx 2-3 days
MGM- 2 days
Epcot - 2 days
AK - 1.5 day but this may change with Everest!

We mix and match our days, sometimes hit 3 parks in one day. Also need to add 2 or 3 trips to downtown Disney for a shopping and an Earl of Sandwich fix!!!

we are going in April for 7 days. 5 of those days will be in the parks, 2 days for MK and 1 day for the others. 1 day we are driving up to Daytona, hubbys idea, not mine and the other day we will go to DTD. With 3 kids I won't be able to be in the parks every day for 7 days.

We hop like crazy.

EMH in the AM then to the pool or resort pool then EMH at night .sometimes we will hit the non-EMH mid-day then EMH later .

Some rides are just better during the night ,parades and shows run different .

I make an Excel sheet on what we want to do and try to fill in the times . We sorta stick to it but not real hard it just helps with what to do and where to go.

this upcoming trip we are there for more than a week so we didn't see the point for the hopper. more than enough days to have in each park...

MK - 2 1/2 days
AK - 1 1/2 days
MGM - 2 days
EPCOT - 2 days

my sister is going a week after i am and is doing one day in each park. if she had more time I'm sure she would do more, but she is only there for 4 days. 4 days, 4 parks, works out perfectly for her.

:sunny: can't wait!! :goodvibes

Funny you asked that question! We are SOOOOO parkhoppers it's not even funny :thumbsup2

We start out in one park, go to another, go back to our resort for a quick rest and/or pool dipping and back to a third park or wherever we choose to go.

We love the feeling of being able to go where we want to go at the moment :goodvibes

I hop a lot, but it probably adds up to about...

MK- 2 or 2 and a half days
Epcot- 4 days
MGM- 1 day
AK- 2 days
Lazy Resort Time- A Lot.

This is what we did on our recent trip!
2 days at BB
2 days at TL
2 days at MK
2 days as AK
1 day at E
1 day at MGM
2 days at DQ and DTD

We parkhop also. We always hit MK the first and last day of our trip. (The first day because there's just something about Main Street and the castle starting the trip off and the last day because its just such a nice way to end the trip!) We then do the other parks throughout the rest of the time. If we finish MGM, AK, or EPCOT early, we head over to MK for the rest of the time (unless the other parks have EMH that night). On our last trip, we were at MK every day of our trip for at least a couple of hours. We don't usually take breaks and go back to the hotel, though, and we only had a 3 park day once.

We are typically there for two weeks. This year we stayed for 16 nights.

We did
5 days MK (6:30pm 1st day, closing 3 days and 4:30pm last day)
3 days EPCOT (opening till close all days)
2 days AK (opening till close all days)
3 days MGM (opening till close 1st day, opening till 3pm second day and Opening till 4pm last day)
2 beach days (1 included a hot air balloon trip)

It's according to the sports seasons pretty often. Normally, we spend four days, one in each park. Hopping doesn't work for me. I usually get to the park at opening and close the place down. This time we're going for six days and will spend two each in MK and Epcot and one in the others. And the day of AK, we'll head to MNSSHP pirate: that night. I didn't go on vacation to sit in my room. :moped:

Last trip we gave each park 2 days. It was really nice and let us kinda take it all in. This trip is a little shorter and we wanted to do some non-park stuff, so we've got 1 day for DS, Epcot and AK (with an additional night for each DS and Epcot for nighttime shows) and then a day and a half for MK (plus MNSSHP and an additional night just for Spectro and Wishes).
