In October last year I booked a 3 Night 4 Day stay at the Hotel New York to start on the 30th March, which cost £801, due to a new special offer if I booked now the same trip would cost £612. I phoned Disney to see if they were prepared to see if there was anyway of getting the holiday at the reduced price. They offered to let me cancel and rebook at the new price - however I would lose 35% of the amount I paid which would work out at £375, so it would not cover the saving.
However if I had seen this new offer at the end of January I could have cancelled and lost £80 and rebooked for a saving of £189.
As it is too late for me to save any money I thought I would see if I could help anyone else out.
If you cancel more than 60 days before the start of your holiday you lose 10%, you can then rebook at the cheaper price or of course book an extra day & night onto your holiday.
Hope this info can help someone.
