1 Credit left. Last day at Disney. Where would you eat?

I ordered the Cider sauced salmon and my husband and the Cider brined pork chop. For some reason, my husband always orders a pork chop if someone has it on the menu, so he's had them from various places. He thought it was one of the better he had. My salmon was, well, salmon, and it was done well and the sauce was great. Anyway, the bread pudding. It's definitely a different sort of bread pudding... extremely rich and filling and the sauces on the side are incredibly sweet. I lightly dip my bread into them. I can finish about half of it.

The comment about the grocery store quality desserts--I felt exactly the same way about everything on the Boma dessert buffet. All unimpressive, but so many people love it.

We haven't tried the cider sauced salmon or pork chop, but we've had enough of RR to know we're not willing to give it another try. Three mediocre at best meals were enough for us. Everything we've tried at nearby Irish restaurants is much better. I'm glad you enjoyed your meal though. WDW restaurants are nothing, if not inconsistent. I hope your next meal at RR is as good as your last.

So I'll be coming off of 3 days of the DxDP and have 1 credit left. My last day in the Parks starts with Marceline to Magic at MK then over to HS to end the trip. I have to leave Disney at about 6:30pm to drive to the Tampa airport to pick up my wife and daughter and then we'll continue the trip in Clearwater. I currently have 2 reservations but not sure which to keep. A 3:45pm at Sci-Fi and a 5pm at Boma. Obviously Sci-Fi would be more convenient but I've yet to try Boma. As a point of reference I will be eating this trip at both Tiffins and Jiko.

So with all that said,

1. Which would you choose based on the above info?
2. Would you consider another option other than the 2 above?

I would ditch the two options you have and head to the Boardwalk. I really enjoyed Tratoria al Forno, and would choose that restaurant over Boma or Sci Fi. I also think Flying Fish is a good option. If you could have a seat by the kitchen the experience could be really fun. My friend and I were seated at one of those tables and had a blast watching the line cook meals, and the two chefs closest to us chose to interact with us as well. So much fun!

If I got to FF right at 5pm do you think I'd be finished by 6:30pm? That was my only concern since I have to drive to the Tampa Airport to get the girls. Not sure they'd understand if I said sorry I'm late, dinner was a bit slow at Disney tonight.

Have you considered getting your car, then moving it to an Epcot resort for at most 2 hours, then eating at an Epcot resort? That way, when you're done, you can just go from there.

Just wondering, since there are some good options, like Cape May Cafe, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Trattoria?

Oops just saw this. Normally you'd be okay, but the one and only time we ate at FF it was a good 90 minutes before our entrees were served (and they were awful; my fish was literally cold, must have been sitting around a long time).

Ouch! That doesn't sound good. From what I've read that may have been an off night. Generally the reviews seem pretty glowing.

Will the Sigs generally work with you if you have time constraints or do they sometimes get offended you're rushing a signature dining experience?

The wait staff will time your meal so that you are finished when you need to be. I would check in 10 or 15 minutes early, and then inform your server that you need to leave by 6:30. They will not dilly dally.

I honestly see no reason that your meal will take longer than 90 minutes given how early you plan to dine. Some restaurants back up as the evening progresses, but 5 is a safe starting time IMO.

As to the meal quality, I cannot speak for anyone else, however our meal was delicious!

I would do Boma if I was traveling solo. It seems like you really want to try it out and you have a car.

I can switch around my reservations. Set in stone is CG Brunch and to a slightly lesser degree Tiffens Lunch. That leaves me with 2 sigs and 1 single credit left. I currently have reservations for CG Dinner and Jiko but could switch one of the two to FF on the last day. That would leave me with 6 snack credits and a 1 credit meal on my Epcot day. I could either use my credits at F&W for lunch and my last credit for dinner that night or vice versa.

Boma has been on my list every trip but for some reason has never happened, and that's including 2 of our stay being at AKL. I'm sure we'll get there some day if I don't on this trip. This is my first solo trip to WDW and I'm fearing I may be trying to accomplish too much.

You'll definitely be EATING too much, LOL! I don't mean that in a bad way at all, so don't take it that way please.

Jealous you got CG brunch. I didn't book it for my upcoming trip, and have tried daily to no avail. I'm sure that will be an enjoyable time!

Remember you can use snack credits to bring goodies from the gift shop to your family, like candy and such. Even the QSDP is too much food for me; last time my youngest & I had it, we took home over 14 bags of treats from leftover credits.
