Did you hear that Myuki no longer creates at Epcot? We've never seen her but it was ALWAYS on my to do list....kinda bummed that we missed it.

Thanks for sharing pics of your dinner at Coral Reef! It looks good. We had that scheduled as an ADR on one of our trips but so many poor reviews scared us away and I cancelled it.

I read this morning that she was leaving and it made me sad. Of course, I was also sad when they stopped letting her give away her creations.

We've always had great meals at Coral Reef. This was our 3rd, maybe 4th time eating there. The thingamabob is delicious. Or so says John and Jesse. It's one of their favorites.

Ya'll stay warm too! It's cold up here and I'm ready for Spring to arrive!

Love your pics of Epcot. I keep going back and forth on Coral Reef. I'm not sure the menu applies to me. It is on the list to try just might be a few trips from now. To bad the candy lady isn't there we never really took the time to watch her. I mean we stopped for a bit but I wish I could have seen a start to finish. Oh well win some and loose some.
Thanks for letting Clarf share pics of pirate rooms. I keep thinking I should book them for dh and me. Just a king size beds sound so much better now that I don't have to share room with kids.

thank you so much for showing the pirate room pics!! we are trying so hard this year to stretch the budget to them...every year we just dont quite manage it and always come up short...praying this year we can make it happen..they look amazing..my kids would just love them

I hope you're able to make it work! My girls LOVE the rooms. We offered them the opportunity to try the Royal Rooms at POR and they said no way, they'd rather be pirates!

I've seen reviews that people think they are "dirty" or "trashy,", but I didn't think that at all, and if they LOOK dirty, it's to go along with the theme. The 2 pirate rooms we've stayed in were very clean. Even the carpets (which I don't have a picture of) are made to look like wooden planks!

Playing a little catch-up! My schedule has been slammed these past couple of weeks!! 1) Glad your mom made it home safely! This weather has been crazy!! 2) Hooray on the size of that pearl!! That was a great size. I love doing Pick-a-Pearl! 3) That stinks about Lacey and Jesse not being able to make the trip this year, but similar issues are preventing a trip for me too. Sometimes being a grown-up isn't what dreams are made of!! 4) Coral Reef looked really good!!! I get similar pics when Madison gets my camera!!

Hunter was talking about his directing again yesterday. Seems like some sort of music may be his career choice.

We have always enjoyed our meals at Coral Reef. If you don't like sauces, they are more than happy to put it on the side. Lacey and Hunter do this all the time.

I was happy to see Clarf posting the pirate room pictures.

Hum, I don't remember the portions being small. Maybe the plates are uber big and they turn out looking that way.

From all of the pictures that I have seen, the rooms didn't look dirty or trashy at all. I think that they look awesome!

Hey girl! My schedule has been pretty busy as well.

1) I was looking forward to the trip to N. Orleans but it wasn't meant to be.
2) The pearl wasn't the larges that I have chosen but it was big.
3) Lacey and Jesse are coming to see us over the Summer and then doing some things nearby.

Do you want your face to freeze like that ‘cause it will!

We discussed whether or not we wanted to venture back towards World Showcase and find a spot for Illuminations but, in the end, we decided not to. I believe that some of us took a potty break before leaving the restaurant and others were lovey dovey outside:



As ya’ll know, Future World closes much earlier than World Showcase but there was one attraction that we hadn’t done yet and it was still open. Let’s head on over and take a spin, shall we:



There was no one in line and we walked right into Spaceship Earth. You’d have thought that, with no one behind me rushing me in, I’d have taken a picture that was actually focused instead of this one:



This one came out lots better:



The castmembers were very gracious and helped walk Mama straight to her car and I suspect they even slowed it down a bit for her.

Camera in hand, I was all set to take the picture and, dadgum it, I took it too early. You can’t even see the Mickey on the paper:





Every single time I see this scene, I think of my friend, Tracy’s house. It looked just like this and I remember thinking how “cool and neat” it looked.

Here we are! Hunter and I making, what else, funny faces. Remember when you were kids and your parents would ask you “Do you want your face to freeze like that ‘cause it will!”

We could hear Illuminations going off behind us and we could tell that they were almost done so we hotfooted it over to the exit. It was our hope that we’d beat the crowds to the bus stop. Would we? We sure would. When we got to the stop, there were about a half dozen people there already. A bus pulled up just as the line was starting to fill up. The bus driver let those in line get in, told the people in the line that another bus was right behind him and we were off to our resort.

It's the day that we dread! L-Day!

It was here. What was? The L-Day. What exactly is L-Day? It’s the last day at Walt Disney World. Yes, this was our tenth day at Disney but it seemed like we had just gotten there.

Our tradition is to spend our last day in the Magic Kingdom and we weren’t breaking tradition this trip. While the rest of the family were finishing up their morning routines, I stepped outside to take a few pictures:







It’s been so long since I wrote about our arrival day and then the day that Lacey and Jesse arrived that I can’t remember whether or not I mentioned the fact that I had our reservations “linked”. We also requested that our rooms be near each other if not connecting. As you can see from the above room numbers, our request was granted.

I took the pathway towards the promenade and snapped a few more pictures:













I didn’t stay away too long thinking that they may be waiting on me. They were just closing up the doors so I grabbed my things and we were off to the bus stop. The Magic Kingdom bus came quickly and we were soon stepping into the Magic Kingdom. It looks like the clock says about 9:30 a.m.







Cinderella’s Castle is absolutely gorgeous!

We walked on through the castle and into the New Fantasyland. One of the first things that we saw were the walls still up:





I’ve seen some recent pictures and some of the walls are down! I also read a rumor that the mine train may open to coincide with the new parade. Not sure if it’s true or not but I would love it if it would.

Your Epcot day looks great. I do need to work on my funny faces. My dd is always saying they aren't funny enough. To bad L day has to come. Glad to hear you spend it at MK. I like the pics of the walls. It is nice that Disney keeps the magic going when they go up. Can't wait to read more.
