1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

$760 doesn’t sound bad but then I am a Disney fool. LOL
They couldn’t get a deal for All Stars?
You have taught him well with picture taking.
I like the cloud photo.
Nice parade pics.
I wish they would close Stitchs’ ride. It is the worst.
Love the dancing.
18 hours. Wow! Good for you.
9am? I would slept till noon and had an off day.
Love Living With The Land. Nice pics. Have you ever done the tour? It is cheap and very informative and fun.
Good Luck!

I didn't think that was a bad price either. I wanted to ask if they could stay onsite but the agency that they booked through actually specializes in high school and college music festivals so I kept my mouth shut. It sure was hard though.

It's good to see how you are progressing on Facebook. You're going to get to your goal in no time.

Keeping fingers, toes and anything else I can crossed for you!! You would be so awesome in this volunteer job!

Thank you!

I could have sworn I looked at your update when you posted it. But I must have looked at something else, because it definitely wasn't an Epcot day.

I agree with you about the fast walking. I'd much rather walk fast than slow. Slow walking distance is actually painful to both me and dh.

I hate hate hate walking slow.

Wouldn't it be great if Disney sold seeds from those 9 pound lemons?

It sure would! My mother in law can grow anything and everything from seeds or a cutting.

JJ would agree with you mom that getting out of the boat is harder than in. Living with the Land is tricky, but the boats in Mexico are even more difficult (both in and out) for him.

They really are tricky!

Hoping you make it to the next round. Sending lots of good vibes!

Thank you a whole bunch!

Goodluck Lisa!!!! It would be nice to get someone who knows something about Disney on there. So many of those Moms give bad info.

Good Luck with your submission! pixiedust:

Looking forward to the next update!

Thank you! I had hoped to write an update today but have been trying to catch up on all my subscribed threads.

Goodluck Lisa!!!! It would be nice to get someone who knows something about Disney on there. So many of those Moms give bad info.

Thanks Jen! I'd love to be on the Panel.

I just wanted to pop in and say good luck for moving on to the next round!!! I'm both sad and relieved that I'm not having to deal with that this year. I wish I would have moved on to Round 2 again, but I sure didn't miss the stress. :rotfl:

I did get some other good news, though. We've decided to change our plans for next May. We were originally going to spend 10 days at WDW, but then we saw some out of control cheap airfare to Hawaii and jumped at it, so we are going to spend 10 days at Aulani! I'm so flipping excited! Of course, I was hoping that I'd finally get to meet the famous Lisa, but I'll have to wait a little longer for that. :thumbsup2

And now, I'll wait (im)patiently for a new installment.

Hey Lisa - I'm here! I've been offline for a few days (:scared1:) with my DDs field trip to the north woods, but I'm back and catching up.

CONGRATS on your progress with the Moms' panel! I'm sure your video is great and I hope you make it! Wishing you the best! pixiedust:pixiedust:

I AM right, I just BELIEVE it and the power of attraction and all...stay positive. :thumbsup2 You are just too cute not too get it! They would be lucky to have you.

I miss the live tour guides too. It added a personal touch to the attraction. I knew that you were still around my dear. ;)

Dadnabit! Now I gotta find a bandaid! I hit my head on my desk when I fainted and fell out. :faint:

Just kidding!

We were on the last boat with the last live tour guide...it was before I was a hardcore DISer and we had NO idea the change was coming...it was our third ride that day of LWTL, so we were glad we had jumped on one more time. I thought we needed some kind of certificate or something, to commemorate the occasion. :rotfl2:

I should have sent a bandaid before I showed up...what kind of nurse am I??? Sorry about that!

Hi there!!

Congratulations!!

You are the second person I know on Disboards that made it to the second round! So exciting!!

Did ya'll plant a garden? We love gardening. This year, we had purple hull peas, green beans, tomatoes, cantaloupe, bell peppers, squash, onions and squash. The bell peppers are still growing and we have more peas planted and some turnip greens. I am not going to partake in the greens but Mama and John will. I had thought that I would get an installment posted today but it's looking like it will be tomorrow. The Land fascinates me.

We did plant a little one, our first time ever! Had great luck with tomatoes and green beans, no luck with the spinach and romaine lettuce we tried (but that's ok, live and learn! Haha) good luck with carrots. Learned a lot trying it ourselves and really enjoyed it. We have plans to double the size of the garden next year. :)

I know the feeling! Last week was just crazy- not just emotionally/mentally, but I had a lot going on in "Real-Life Land" that I have slacked off so bad here on the Dis! I'm happy with my answers/video though, so that is all that matters! :goodvibes

Thank you! I was more stressed out making the video than anything. And, it wasn't really nervousness about the talking but about making sure that I figured out how to edit our me turning the camera on and off. :rotfl:

Oh my goodness! That's wonderful news. Well, not about finally getting to meet each other but going to Hawaii! There are a couple of great trip reports out there and the place looked amazing!

And now, I'll wait (im)patiently for a new installment.

Coming up!

Oooh a field trip! I love field trips!

Thank you so much! I'll take each and every little bit of the pixie dust!

I AM right, I just BELIEVE it and the power of attraction and all...stay positive. :thumbsup2 You are just too cute not too get it! They would be lucky to have you.

Awww, thanks Judy!

Whaaaaat? They didn't give ya'll something the commemorate the event? Darn them!

It's okay! I found some Mickey Mouse ones in my drawer. ;)

Good luck with the MP! You would be so great at it!

Thank you!

Hunter got some moves!!

I'm sure you knew already, but the Cupid Shuffle was written and performed by a Lafayette, LA guy that goes by the name Cupid.
http://youtu.be/h24_zoqu4_Q

Love the updates!!!

Hunter got them moves like Jagger! I need to go watch the youtube video. I'm always in need of some new dance moves. :lmao:

Leafy veggies are pretty hard to grown around here. Except for turnip and mustard greens but I consider them grass which is every where in our garden. :p

It sounds like ya'll are enjoying the gardening. If you don't already, you should start you a compost. We have a compost tumbler that we bought from Sam's but you can make one of your own. Just find a spot over in the corner of your yard and fence it in. We used chicken wire. Turn the ground over really really well and often. You can put everything except for meat and grease in your compost. I keep a large Folders coffee can in the kitchen and put our food scraps in it. Those go into the tumbler or our compost "pile". When you get ready to start tilling the garden for your Spring or Summer garden, work the compost into your garden soil. It sure does help!

I would have asked. It doesn't hurt.

Thanks. Down 9 more this week.

Well, we found out that the trip is off which is a major bummer. I think that I will price out a trip for them and just see if it would be any cheaper. You just have to know the people around here though. We are a poverty stricken state and it's hard for people to even put food on the table.

Down 9 more! Woo Hoo!

Why does it have to be so loud and smell so gross?

Our fastpasses for Soarin’ weren’t good until after 3:00 so we had a lot of time to kill. Before taking the elevator upstairs, we stopped at the very small shop that sold flower/garden themed items. I bought this:

7509002529710

The year before, I had bought the hanging bird feeder and wanted this to match. I filled out the paperwork to have it sent back to the resort and, receipt in hand, we walked over to the elevators. As I said, Mama, bifocal glasses and escalators don’t mix well. Since we had some time to kill, we went to the right and popped in to see our favorite purple dragon. Figment!

I always knew that Mama was highly sensitive to loud noises but I also found out that she doesn’t like strong smells. How’d I find that out? When we got to this section of the attraction, the wheels started spinning and we ended up being “skunked”!

Moving on!

There’s footprints on the ceiling!

When the ride was over, Mama said “Why does it have to be so loud and smell so gross?” Good question!

Once inside the lab, Hunter did a little leading of the orchestra....with Mama looking on, of course:

I bet you’ve never seen an orchestra leader with this kind of move:

Our tummies were starting to protest and we decided it was time to stop for lunch. While The Electric Umbrella isn’t a gourmet meal, we eat there every trip so we decided to head there. But, not before I stopped to take a picture of all the coins in the water nearby:

Did you see how many were between all those rocks? That’s a lot of moolah.

We made it to the Electric Umbrella and it wasn’t super busy. I like the way the castmembers control the lines there. They gave us a menu and we were told to wait. Then, the castmember watched to see which line had become shorter and led us there. It is lots better than having to watch for an open line yourself.

John and Hunter told us what they wanted and went in search of a table while Mama and I got in line. In less than 10 minutes, we had ordered and had our food in hand.

Burger:

Chicken nuggets with more burgers in the background:

Brownie:

Strawberry cheesecake on top and a fruit bowl underneath:

Like I said, the food was nothing spectacular but it was fresh, warm and filling. Just what we were looking for. We people watched while our food settled and talked about what to do next. We decided to first check out MouseGears:

Hunter checking out himself:

I see myself in that picture. I’m squatted down on the left looking at the jewelry on the lower part of the display. I have no doubt, whatsoever, that Mama was on the other side. We love our jewelry! I think that John was off looking for some of his favorite “rat” socks.

**Up next: Do you seriously need to barf? Mom? Mom! Mom?

Claire hates the skunk smell too, but I also think she secretly likes it. :rotfl2: I mean I think she likes that it so gross. I have a weird kid.

We have never eaten there. I am worried I might lose a tooth! :p

I love your new garden themed purchase.

Cayley calls Figment the stinky ride too and holds her nose when I make her ride it with me. But I love that purple dragon.

Hunter just cracks me up.

I'm glad you got a quick, filling meal at Electric Umbrella.

I love your bird bath. I don't think I have ever been in the shop, put it on the list of things to look for. I love Figment but still miss the original with Dreamfinder. I held my breath when you said you were going to Mousegears, no snakes this year?

I bet you’ve never seen an orchestra leader with this kind of move:

This picture just made me LOL at work. I'm sure my co-workers think I'm crazy.

Love the bird bath! I'll have to check out that store next time.

Sorry Mama didn't like the Figment ride. We haven't been on that one either, but I think my girls would like it.

When we were at Disney last year, we ate at the Electric Umbrella, and all I could think of was you losing your tooth! Of course this was when I was still a lurker, but I still thought it.

Hope you found some good jewelry!
