1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

I was a few days behind, but all caught up! Glad to hear no trouble with mama and the boats! Cool glass dragon - those guys are amazing!

Funny hat people you've got there with you! Don't worry about lice, we just had a "bout" of them here and went to a professional to get them taken care of - they can not live anywhere but on human hair and the only way to transfer is to have your head close to someone else's head long enough for one to crawl on you because they don't jump. I used to freak about that hat thing too - but that ain't how it works, so no worries - try on hats all you like!

I really want to try Via Napoli soon - of course I don't know when we'll be back in WDW! But next trip, I'm going for sure!!

I am loving all of the flooring and the colors that you chose. How much longer until you move in?

Lord, I wish we could go to Via Napoli one of these times, but I'm so afraid I'll get sick after eating there (pizza and red sauces and I don't see eye to eye 75% of the time). Your meal looks wonderful. And those pizzas are huge!

Kathy, they have some pizzas with no red sauce at all. Yes, the pizzas are big! I don't like a whole lot of crust though so I left that for John. ;)

Holy cannoli! Not even a week and I lost count of the updates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You were a MACHINE!

I want a fritter ball. NOW please! Oh my those look good.

They were extremely good!

I love hearing about your relationship with our mama. It isn't for everyone, and I admire the commitment it takes but also can appreciate the reward and joy it gives you in return. It takes a special person I think, and you are that. As is John, that can be hard on a marriage and just seems to be a matter of fact and I love that.

I often say that if John and I were to divorce, my Mama would keep John and I'd be booted out.

I am close to my folks, and certainly see them more than just special occasions, typically 2 or more times a month. Daily though....boy...I adore my mom but daily....the things that make you go hmnnnn. Jeff and I have often joked that my dad, and his stepmom would be the ones out of the 6 of our folks that we could take...

Daily.

Yeah, sometimes daily makes me :scared1: but she's worth it.

What lovely lovely updates, fun times and yes, funny bangs. :goodvibes

When I left the beauty shop, my bangs didn't look nothin' like that. Of course, she had a ton of product in it and did all the fancy beautician work on it. Once I got in the humidity the bangs "problem" because more and more apparent. It's just now growing out.

I have not been on here in a long time! I have been catching up the past 2 nights and finally I'm caught up :goodvibes You have been busy with updates wow ! That all nighter sure looked packed ! I would of been worn out.

Hi ya! The Magic Kingdom WAS packed but now we can say that we've been there done that and, yes, we bought the t-shirt.

I'm glad Mama got in and out of the boats alright at Epcot and like your Mama I love Soarin :thumbsup2

Mama did really well getting in and out of the boats for an almost 80 year old.

I had to laugh when you said fuller than a tick :rotfl: That is what our family says also especially at holiday dinners. Were from Ohio so I'm not sure how far that saying has traveled or where it started :rotfl:. Well I say I'm full as a tick :crazy2: It does sound nasty because I hate ticks ::yes::

Isn't that a gross saying? But you hear it said all the time here.

Hi Lisa! Looks like a very playful bunch in those shops! For some reason when I see a pickle ornament I think of Larry the Cucumber from Veggie Tales. I love the Christmas shop in Germany.

I hadn't even thought about Larry the Cucumber. Hunter used to love Veggie Tales.

Oh my goodness!! I love Via Napoli pizza! Those zeppoles are definitely worth risking the nub treatment. I'm not a chocolate fan but I do like them with the whip cream. :) Love the loozeeanna accent in your writing! (My MIL lives outside Alexandria.)

I'm with you...the cream was much better than the chocolate.

Hey...Alexandria isn't that far from here!

Love the updates! Glad your mom was able to get into/out of the boats without too much trouble.

Via Napoli is definitely on my list of places I want to try.

That dessert is called "Coppa Di Brutti Ma Buoni - Ugly, but good". According to the Dining/menu page here on the Dis.

That's it! The ugly but good dessert!

I looked at the Allears and the "Coppa..." name was there but not the rest, I remember it used to say Ugly but good but I guess they took that out with the latest update. I imagine that Coppa Di Brutti Ma Buoni probably means "Ugly but good" :thumbsup2

I didn't really think it was all that ugly but it sure was good.

Wow! If I miss a day, I miss a ton!!

That dinner looks so yummy! Makes me wish I had made an ADR there for our upcoming trip. Oh well! Jon has already told me, "No more messing with my meals!" :lmao: The fritter balls look so very yummy. Is that the only place you can get them??

Usually, I'm not so quick with the updates. Lucky for me, the boss was pretty busy this week which gave me time to catch up.

I haven't seen that dessert on any other menu. What Jon doesn't know won't hurt him. :rolleyes1

I forgot to look at your signature (even though I told myself to) have you started the trip report yet?

Thanks for the lesson in lice. Hopefully, it didn't take long to clear up the "problem" in your household.

So no plans to get back to WDW anytime soon?:worried:

Hangin’ with the fam!

After finishing up our desserts, we went outside to find John’s brother and his family and there they were sitting at one of the little tables outside. :yay: We visited for a while and then walked over to try and find a good spot to watch Illuminations which was about to start. I was actually surprised that the spot we found was pretty good. :thumbsup2

It was really nice watching Illuminations and hangin’ with the fam!

Hunter and our niece Emily:

Hunter and our nephew Eli:

We stood and visited for quite some time. So long, in fact, that there weren’t many other folks around. Except for another group of crazies nearby. :upsidedow I asked if they minded taking our picture and it turns out that they were from a little town in Arkansas that we have traveled through many times. We chatted with them for a little bit, he took our picture and we parted ways.

We all walked out of World Showcase together and talked about plans to meet up again before they left to go home. We were also going to be eating together at Boma later in the trip.

John’s brother is not a big fan of Walt Disney World so John told out sis-in-law that she and the kids could plan to go back without him and just follow us down so they wouldn’t be on the road by themselves. I don’t know if it will ever happen but the invite is there and I know that we’d all have fun if they did. Of course, we’d rather it include the brother too.

Pit stops needed to be made by some in our group so we told them all goodnight and I set off for the bathrooms.

**Up next: Don’t tell me that he’s at it again! :sad2:

Thank you. We will be moving in on Black Friday. I am thrilled to have an excuse to not shop.:rotfl: Not to mention I really want to go home.

I love the fireworks!

I love the fireworks!

Oooh, that's soooo soon! I'm sure that it can't be here soon enough though. I'd much rather be moving into a new home than shopping.

We loved watching Illuminations with even more familly!

We were supposed to be moving in on November 15th so it is a little sad but still good.

On our next trip our nephew and niece in law will be joining us for part of the trip. Neither of them has been to Disneyland for about 17 or so years. It should be a lot of fun!

Oooooohhhh, Via Napoli! That's some yumminess there!!! And I also had the pistachio gelato. Soooo good! I wanted to try those little balls, too, but I just didn't have any room left.

You got some really neat looking Illuminations photos.

Fun times to meet up with family on vacation!

Love the illuminations pics! How wonderful to watch the show with a big group of family. Love that you hung around after to chat and ran into another family doing the same thing! A fun evening!

I so love the family picture. Isn't it neat when you bump into someone from a place you know? It just reminds me that it really is a small world... just without the million dolls! :lmao:

What a great family photo!! Hunter's expressions in those photos were hilarious! It looks like he keeps you laughing.

Ahhh Illuminations, I've actually only seen the entire show a few times but it is so fascinating.

That is a great family shot. I love being at Disney World with my brother and his family. (We live 12 hours apart. :sad1:) We will all be going together for my birthday next year, probably in December. I'll be 40! :crazy2:

Don’t tell me that he’s at it again!

I know that all of you have ridden the Disney buses so I’m pretty sure that ya’ll have encountered the “coldest buses in all of the World”. :sad2:Why is it that the bus drivers keep the buses so cold? :confused3 I’ve always wondered. One time, when waiting on the bus to leave at the end of a rainy Epcot day, a bus driver said that he couldn’t shut off the air conditioner because the windows would fog up. Uh, excuse me sir, but do you see the water, literally, rolling down the inside of the windows? That’s not rain water! It's condensation rolling down them! :scared1:

Anyway, I say that to tell you why I make it a habit of stopping to tinkle before getting on any Disney bus at night. If I get that cold on a bus, I might get so cold that I tinkle on myself. Not that it’s happened before ‘cause it hasn’t. I just don’t want it to be a possibility.

Pics that I took along the way to the bathrooms near Spaceship Earth:

Apparently, I felt the need to take a picture of the WOMEN sign:

Scratch that. Apparently, I handed the camera off to Hunter who felt the need to take a picture of the WOMEN sign and then document the fact that he was waiting outside the women’s bathroom for me :rolleyes1:

Also, apparently, the birthday button was working ‘cause these gals wished him happy birthday and they were celebrating too:

What can I say? The boy’s got swagger. :cool1:

My tinkle break done, we continued out of the park and made our way to the bus stop. When Hunter was shorter, he’d always jump up and try to hit the signs or flags or whatnot and he was more than happy to get picture-proof that he could actually just step on his tip-toes and reach them now:

There weren’t many others standing in the line for the CBR bus. That’s one of the reasons we like to wait until some of the crowds have thinned out before we get in line. In just a short time, the bus pulled up and, yes, it was cold. Thank goodness, I stopped for a break before getting on. We were back at the resort in about 10 minutes time. Gotta love staying at a resort that’s centrally located! :thumbsup2

**Up next: Brothers don’t shake hands! Brothers gotta hug!

Hi Lisa! Great update!! I don't understand why they keep the buses so cold either!!! It's always freezing!!! I wonder how they are during the "colder" months!! I see Hunter was at it again!! Such a ladies man!! ;)

You are an updating machine!

Great photos of Illuminations (we are finally going to sit and watch it as part of the CP package next month; we just aren't big fans in general).

I love the family picture...it turned out great!

Hunter is quite the ladies man.

I hear you on the bus situation with the freezing temperatures and then having to go to the bathroom. It's even worse when you are drenched, your bus driver gets lost, etc. (yep, happened to me in August).

Love the illuminations pics! I love that show.

I can't remember how old you said your Mama was, but she looks just amazing! If she has trouble going in and out of boats, you'd never know it by looking at her.

Your dinner at Via Napoli looked great! Another must try I think!

Love the picture of Hunter with the girls! You know he was enjoying himself.

If they haven't been in 17 years, they are going to be wowed by everything that's been added/changed.:thumbsup2

I had a taste of Mama's pistachio gelato and it was delicious. I wasn't able to eat all of my dessert but had no trouble getting volunteers to help finish them off.

I thought that the pictures turned out pretty good.

It was nice to see Illumninations with some of John's family. The kids and adults had a good time hanging out together.

I so love the family picture. Isn't it neat when you bump into someone from a place you know? It just reminds me that it really is a small world... just without the million dolls! :lmao:

I am happy that I asked the guy to take our picture together. It's a nice memory.

Hunter is such a funny guy and he makes us laugh a lot. He's a big kid, for sure.

40! That's nothing! I have almost 8 years on you. I can think of no better way to celebrate a birthday than with family at Disney!
