1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

That is too funny... I think we all have a little bit of Jewelry Ho inside us! :rotfl2: I am always in search of those perfect earrings or a longer length necklace. Yep, its there... Buried deep down but I too am a Jewelry Ho. Do you think there is a 20 step program for that... or a 8 inch program?? :lmao:

The dragon is very pretty. Not my style, but very pretty!

:rotfl2::lmao:

This update had me ROLLING! First the Jewlery Ho/Trollop (I love the work trollop, it's fun to say), then the image of your poor Mama being yanked out of a boat came in my head again. I'll be laughing about this all day. All. Day. So thank you!

And cool dragon! That's so amazing that they can do that.

I'm glad that you had a good laugh! :thumbsup2 Mama really does have a problem with buying jewelry. She loves it.

When the guy was working on the dragon, we had no idea what it would turn out to be. It's neat watching their work.

Thank ya'll for letting me know that you're still around and reading. I worry sometimes that people thinking that my joking/kidding/picking around is too much. In this day and time, there's so much that we can get down in the dumps about and if I can put a smile on somebody's face, then by golly gosh darn it....I'm gonna try and do it!

This is why I read your report. You always put a smile on my face. Sorry I have been gone from Dis. Stupid pain in my hip has kept me off the computer. Today I'm trying to catch up on reports I'm reading.

I love what you said about your Mom. I feel the same way about mine. Although we live to far away. I don't get out to visit enough nor does she visit me. But we talk a couple times a week. I feel my sisters go and see her more then I do. That said they just do a quick stop when they are in the area out of guilt. I am comfortable saying that cause they both have told me the same. As for calling my mom they call her maybe once a month.

I am glad your mom is enjoying her time with you. She reminds me of my grandma. Loves being with the family if only to sit on a bench and people watch. I think my grandma would have loved soarin also.
Can't wait to read more.

Yeah, I don't have much room to talk. In my Disney Parks Moms Panel questions I said that I wasn't the typical southern bell and that I was a tomboy but liked my glitzy jewelry. If there's a 20 step program, then I don't wanna know. :lmao:

Aww, I'm sorry that you're having such pain. Stupid pain!

It's good that you talk with your mother as often as you do. You are doing what you can and she knows it.

Get that off your head! You dont know where thats been!

We left the Mexico pavilion and hung a left towards Norway. Mama was doing so good at getting on and off boats that we figured why not throw, I mean, help her into another. ;) Maelstrom had just a 10 minute wait which was pretty freakin good considering what time of year it was. Usually, the further into the month of May you get, the busier it gets. You know why. Schools lettin out. Summer trips. The usual.

Now, it may have been semi-easy getting Mama on and off the boats at Living With The Land and in Mexico but getting in the Viking ships at Norway was a little trickier for some reason. I dont know if Mama was getting stove-up or what the deal was. For those of you who dont use that term, heres the definition: suffering physical discomfort caused by injury, illness, exercise, or overwork; battered, worn-out <horses & too old and stove-up for saddle work F.B.Gipson>

Great, first I call my Mama a jewelry ho and now Im referring to her as a battered, worn out horse. :sad2: Actually, no, no, Im not. F.B. Gipson said that. I just said that Mama was stove-up. :thumbsup2

Anyway, it took a little more to get Mama settled into the Viking ship and the castmembers were really good about not looking frustrated and wanting to yell at us to get a move on.

I didnt take a single solitary picture during the ride. Not a single one. Musta spent the whole time wondering how we were going to get Mama out of the boat.

When we were nearing the village, I reminded everybody that we were just going to hoist ourselves out of the boat and streak on through the movie theater. John exited the boat first so he could give Mama a hand and I stood behind with my hand on her back to make sure that she was steady. It was actually easier for Mama to get out of the ship this time.

Hunter informed us that he had to make a pit stop and the rest of us were thirsty so we walked on to China. Hunter went in search of a bathroom and we went in search of liquid refreshment. We found it at the counter service eatery and we found a table too. There werent many people there and we almost had the place to ourselves. I thought that these lights were pretty cool looking.

Refreshments done, we walked around a little outside and then found some benches to sit and people watch from:

Good lawd! Look at my stupid bangs! I had a haircut right before we left and the woman screwed it up royally. Oh well, it is what it is. Or was...at the time it was.

Me and my Mama:

I thought that these were cool looking:

He'S kinda cool looking too:

Looks like Hunter made it back. :rotfl:

One more picture:

We continued our quest around World Showcase:

We made a stop where Hunter tried on a few things:

Get that off your head! You dont know where thats been!

Goodness gracious! I cant take the two of them anywhere! :p

Anyone having a pickle craving?

**Up next: Dont put your hands on my balls buddy or youll draw back a nub!

The Pickle Tree!!

I know they are a fake tradition, but in our house it's part of our tradition to hide it in the tree for the kids to find and get a special present as well as start with the first present.

I'm glad your mom was able to get out of the ship easier than getting in, I know how hard that can be for people.
You are so blessed to have a mom who loves going to WDW with you, I'm afraid I won't ever be in the cards to ever take my mom. :sad2:
Keep enjoying these years while she can go. :thumbsup2

Seriously, the title of your next update after this current one has me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Okay, back to the update. I find those ships in Norway to be harder to get into and out of then the boats, so that explains the slight struggle with your mama! She is not an worn out horse.

Beautiful pictures around China.

I've read where people don't let their kids try on hats because they don't know who wore them or what was in them. Can you imagine me telling Mark he could NOT try on a hat? :faint:

I wish someone would explain the significance of the pickle ornmanets. I've never understood it. :confused3

Look who's moving along on the updates now!?

The glass dragon looks pretty cool. It is amazing how they do that. Of course, I (having no creative or artistic talent whatsoever) would think just about any simple craft is amazing.

Loved the little light fixture thingies. They look sort of like the K'nex pieces.

And tell Mama the little boy in the commercial for Orlando theme parks says about going there on vacation, "You can do whatever you want" (with a long southern drawl)! So if she wants to turn over every jewelry cart there, it must be A-OK! :thumbsup2

That's a neat fake tradition! :rotfl: No seriously, that's a neat tradition to have. I don't know if I could keep my kids off the presents long enough to find it though.

It's a blessing to have Mama get around so well and is able to travel still. I know that you are sad that your mother can't travel with you to Disney.

Kathy, every single time I see a picture of someone posing in a Disney hat, I think of Mark. You'd have a heck of a time if you tried to stop him.

Oh and Mama ain't a horse. She's still a filly! :thumbsup2

I know! I've been a busy girl today and I've knocked out a lot of work off my desk too.

My sisters have all the talent in our family. They are all artsy fartsy. I always tell them that my talent is making people laugh and I can type real fast. :rotfl2:

I was on a writing roll and had started on installment number three for today when Photobucket informed me that they are down for maintenance. So, looks like ya'll will have to wait for Photobucket to come back up before I can post more.

Great update. Good to hear the Norway boats are easier to get out of. Love Hunter's hat pictures, and he's good at accessorizing. Cheers! What was that thang your mama was going to put on her head? A wolf?

I think a pickle would be a fun tradition. I've always been tempted to buy one, but never did.

The story of the pickle I believe is that it is hidden on the tree and the child who finds it gets an extra gift. We have had one on our tree since our kids are little. It is hard to find since it is green.

Mr . Mark needs to try on that animal hat Mama was modeling.

I was going to make the same comment a previous poster did: your Mama is doing AH.MA.ZING to be getting around Disney so well! We vacation with my parents from time to time, and I hope God blesses them with many years of good health too! :thumbsup2

Hey! We have those Germany Mickey ears! They are currently sitting on the bookcase in our bedroom!

And we do the pickle thing, too, in our house. We buy a separate present...usually an ornament or a box of chocolates...and whoever finds the pickle on the tree Christmas morning gets that present. It's a lot of fun!

Great updates! I'm glad Mama was able to get in and out. I have a hard time getting in the boats on Maelstrom, so I can understand her having a time of it.

Can't wait to read more!

I love your writing style!

My daughter loves pickles and I got a kick out of her reaction to seeing the picture of the tree. I wish we had an EPCOT at Disneyland.

OKAY! I FINALLY got all caught up around noon yesterday (and you should have seen the looks as I laughed at you calling your Mom a jewelry...YOU know) and you slipped in another update! Which I loved! I guess I should be glad photobucket was down! :rotfl:

That Hunter is one handsome guy. We have a big pickle and a small pickle for our tree as well...that German thing and all ...:lmao: well, not me....:rotfl2:

As for the hats, I ALWAYS worry about the lice that could be lurking...but no one else seems to, according to our own pics...I guess the mouse has a rule, that isn't allowed at the most magical place on earth...at least I HOPE he has that rule!

Loved your pics, even with your bangs...I got my hair cut for the first time in a year before our trip and she cut my bangs WAY to short, after we discussed it in great detail...I thought you looked beautiful as always! :thumbsup2

A couple of great updates, Lisa!!!

I loved what you wrote about your relationship with your Mama. Honest, touching and funny! You are both so lucky to have each other.

What a great time you all had at EPCOT.

We love Ellen's Adventure, too, but we don't go every single trip. Mark and I remember the version before they added Ellen, Bill Nye and of course, Stupid Judy! The pre and post show are so much better with these additions, but I don't really like that the characters are in the attraction part.

Yeah for another great ride on Soarin! For some reason, I just picture Mama jumping out of a plane and skydiving with George Bush. But I suspect she will just stick with hang-gliding.

AWESOME picture of Hunter!!! How cool is he?

I didn't realize how many boat rides there are in EPCOT!

The Mexican pavilion is really neat. I'm glad you found so much to keep you entertained there. The glass sculptures are just amazing!

Hunter is one cool cat. :)

Glad you have the ressies made for May- My sister is going down at a similar time, I think end of May too...

I would love to go again next Sept/Oct but I think we will have to hold off until at least beginning of Dec or even Feb/March.

I still haven't found a job yet :(, I didn't think it would be this hard. I have submitted my resume about 25 times ( BLAH) and I have had three interviews and nada. :( I wish I could move to Disney and work there. :joker:
