1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

Wow! I was REALLY far behind! But all caught up now! Sounds like you had a great time at Sea World! Happy LATE birthday to Hunter! Can't wait to hear about the rest of your 24hr Disney adventure! I am such a HUGE fan of DIck Dynasty! My sister named her cat Jack, so she could go: Hey jack! All the time! Lol. Loving the new season! How cool that you get to see them all the time! So jealous!

My DD9 and I love watching Duck Dynasty together! Funny story: My DD9 kept reffering to the show as "Doug Dynasty" because that's what she honestly thought the name of the show was. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I had to set her straight on that!

WOW!!:scared1: That is a lot of people in MK!

That's hilarious! I'll have to make sure to tell the family about that little snafu.

Yay for being caught up. I am often behind on a lot of my threads. We had a good time at Sea World but it will be a while before we return. I say that but it would have been different had it been just John, Hunter and I. We would have ridden the rides too.

That's cute that your sister named her cat Jack. Si says that all the time.

The Lapu Lapu is worth every penny in my book. Strong though.
Maybe I need to go there with you all. Every time we go to ‘Ohana it is just awful. :O(
Happy Birthday Hunter. (A little late)
Wow! A lot of people wanted to celebrate with Hunter. LOL
It is great they put up the spots where you can view the construction going on.
All caught up again.

The lapu lapu was too strong for me but then I'm not a big drinker either so most anything would be strong.

There were a lot of folks at the Magic Kingdom that day. Just wait until I post about our evening there.

Awesome place to spend a birthday! Kadence will be as lucky in Nov to spend her 10th birthday in Disney!

Who doesn't love Roz! She's a sexy one.;)

Holy Crowds! :scared: How rude that people can't even walk around a PP trying to take a picture!

Here I must confess I've not watched Duck Dynasty in the past. I seen it for the first time a couple weeks ago. What a hoot they are!

Why didn't we have these kind of awesome birthday celebrations when we were a kid? Oh I remember.....I wasn't spoiled rotten. :rotfl: But, we wouldn't have it any other way than having our kids stink to high heaven. ;)

The Duck Dynasty guys and gals are just like they are shown on television. Actually, they are even more kind in person since A&E cuts out a lot of the religious references.

I would love to do the all nighter and how fun to have it on your bithday too!

I told River that the Move it Shake it Celebrate parade was for his birthday when he was 5 and he totally believed it. I think he still does. When we went in June I told him it was for my birthday:laughing:

Of course, the parade was for River that day! And it was just for you in June!

I love the Duck Dynasty shirts.

What a great way to spend your birthday....at any age, but 16 is even just a bit more magical!

I will be putting the Photopass pictures up soon. They turned out so good!

All caught up! I loved our Ohana dinner too - thanks for the pics. Good thing I had already eaten when I looked at them.

Cool for Hunter to have his 16th birthday be the all nighter. That's my DH's birthday too (he's a bit older! ;)) I'm curious to see how the crowds held up throughout the 24 hours.

I would have loved to have the Ohana food at lunch time. I only had leftovers. :worried:

The crowds got heavier as the evening progressed. :sad2:

Yeaaaaah for Hunters Birthday!!:yay:

Yeaaaaah for 24 hours in the MK!!!:dance3:

Yeaaaaaah, for finally getting to see the new FL!!! :cheer2:

Boooooo, for all the dang people!!

That's pretty much what we ran into while we were there, and we were there the 5th-16th, well before y'all were.
I think it will be a while before we do another family trip, probably a solo trip coming up, maybe even next May if I can swing it, but it may be next Oct. instead since I'm wanting to experience the Food and Wine.
Not sure if I'll like it better than Flower and Garden, I'm kinda doubting it. But! I still want to try it and hope that the weather will be nice and balance out not getting to see all the flowers.
I don't know.....the flowers are pretty special and make the park look soooo amazing, maybe I'll have to try going in the early spring and suffer all the spring breakers but have the beautiful weather and still get to see all the flowers:yay:.
Sorry to ramble. You know how we women are, we think outloud. :goodvibes

No need to apologize for rambling. I do it all the time. Saying stuff that I'm thinking 'cause it's easier to just say it outloud instead of keeping it all in. See, I'm rambling now. :rotfl:

I so wish that the Flower & Garden Festival would extend on out to the end of May. I always loved seeing those beautiful park grounds and topiaries.

Like mentioned... what a phenomenal way to be able to spend a 16th Bday!!
Those crowds look down right unbearable! I remember (barely) being at the
72hr party that DLR had for the opening of Captain EO way back when, I remember how crowded it was but when it got to be early in the morning it thinned out quite a bit...
I am sooo looking forward to reading how the rest of the 24 hrs went!! How fun!:thumbsup2

Honestly, after the parade left, the crowds all shuffled in different directions so it wasn't bad. Now, later in the evening, it was horrible!

How fun that the 24 hour day was on his actual birthday!!!!!!!!!!! That makes for an extra special sweet 16. SWEET!

Loving the Duck Dynasty gear. I don't watch it but Evan is obsessed and would be over the moon to know that I know someone that knows them. :lmao:

The peek window is cute! I do not remember that from the fall.

Hunter was very excited to be spending his 16th B-day at the Magic Kingdom and was even more excited when I told him about it being open for 24 hours.

Tell Evan that we see the Duck Commander crew out and about pretty often. If ya'll ever travel through Louisiana on I-20, you should make a stop at their warehouse. You may just see some of them there.

I just finished reading your trip report! Can't wait to read more!:goodvibes

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! I hope to get an installment posted this afternoon. Or at least the Photopass pics. It all depends on how long I can keep my boss at bay. ;)

OK, so I think I must have read this last night and got called away. What a fun way to spend a 16th birthday. I love those pictures of the castle. Just gorgeous. What a beautiful view!

As you well know, you can never ever have too many pictures of the castle.

I love this picture and I thought I commented on it. Am I going crazy? Let me check.

Nope you didn't but then you did. That make sense? :rotfl: I thought that the picture turned out neat.

Dang! I can't send you a PM about the dresses until I have 10 posts. Two more to go!

Just post a couple of these or a  or possible a :yay: here and you can p.m. me. :thumbsup2

Great update! I love Hunter's birthday picture! What a goofball.

I had no idea they had a parade that early in the day. And, I love your sneak peeks at the Mine Roller Coaster. I can't wait to ride it one day!

Hunter is definitely a big goofball. I would much rather have a goofball than a stodgy old grump.

What a great way to spend your birthday! I can't wait to hear about the rest of Hunter's day.

Hope to get an installment up this afternoon....for sure the Photopass pictures.

16!

Can't think of a better place to celebrate a 16th birthday!

I totally forgot that you were there for the "all-nighter". You and everyone else! Man, it looked crowded!

Awesome castle pictures. Great photo will the parade float.

You know, I never noticed the view master in the Buzz Lightyear queue before the visit we made in July. Has it always been there???

The take-a-peek wall for the Mine Train is cool. I love the picture you took with the outline of the hole. Someday you will need to pair that with a picture of the completed attraction.

Yep, it was pretty crowded but the crowds did go all which-a-ways so it wasn't super crowded once everybody left.

Oooh I hadn't thought about pairing up two pictures. Gotta remember to do that.

Oh and I think that the View Master has always been there. Or has it?:confused3

Caught up through your links. Thanks!

I'm so glad you had a fantastic meal at 'Ohana. You posted some great food porn!

GRRRR on the couch hogs! :sad2: My husband and I often debate whether people are really that incredibly rude, or if they are just oblivious or stupid. In most cases of selfish behavior I think it is a combination, but really people, take a moment to look past your family to be considerate of others in your environment!

What a nice picture of you and John in the lounge!

I have never tried the Lapu Lapu, but I have heard that it is strong. One of my friends commented "Holy Alcohol Batman!"

Too funny about Hunter's Sprite. Didn't they know it was your drink that needed to be watered down, not his?

:woohoo: for Wishes!!! Dinner and a Show!

I think that people are just plain old stupid AND inconsiderate of others.

Oh I would have been saying "Holy Alcohol Batman" had I heard that phrase before. It was strong!

Nice update ! Wow MK looked crowded :scared1:
I cant wait until they get the mine coaster done :hyper:

I am anxious to see when the mine coaster will be finished! I wanna ride it right now. (Stompin' my foot.)

Of course the parade was for Hunter's birthday! But wow those crowds look horrendous.

Of course it was! They knew that there was a Sweet 16 year old in their midst. :upsidedow

Hey Lisa, I finally started my PTR..........
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=49413629#post49413629

I tried to start it last night, but photobucket was NOT cooperating.

Does Photobucket ever cooperate? :headache:

The birthday whoopin' line made me :lmao:. Glad my family isn't the only ones who do that. :rotfl: And MK did a whole parade just for Hunter's birthday too.

That is a whole lot of people in MK. Not that surprising given the promotion for the day. Can't wait to see the Duck Commander t-shirts, and watch the new episode tonight. :happytv: And I'm sure you are right about the reason for the cut-outs to see Dwarfs Mine Train progress, I saw several people trying to find ways to see in when I was there in December.

Birthdays are about the only time that whoopins take place in our house. I remember trying to take pictures of the new Fantasyland when we were there a couple of trips ago. I even climbed up to the tables on the balcony at Pinocchio's.

Guess what?!?! I'm caught up on my own trip report. :rotfl:

So, how was Labor Day for ya'll? It was hot as hecka decka here in Louisiana. I don't normally sweat and I was sweating bullets yesterday while outside painting even more moulding/trim for the house. By Noon, John and I were ready to get back inside. I called the time and temperature phone number about 9:30 a.m. and it said that it was 90. I think that it was 100 by Noon and probably hotter as the day went on.

After showering, I put the finishing touches on Donna's three backsacks and started on the smaller one. I should have it done this evening and will cut out the dress tomorrow night. If I could just talk my boss into letting me bring my sewing to work, I could get it all done a lot quicker. :lmao:

I went to Belk on Saturday to buy a new bedspread for our bedroom during their one day sale. I found the perfect one for just $59.99. Regular price? $129.99. Score!

Of course, me being the bargain shopper and think-aheader (made that word up just now) that I am, I stopped at the sales racks in the clothing department to see if they had anything that I could wear on our next WDW trip. I found two really cute pair of dressy shorts, two nice shirts and two t-shirts and paid just over $23. A quick loop through the shoe department led me to a great find on a pair of gold sandals that started out at $50 but were marked down to $12.50. Somehow, they ended up being even less than that even including taxes.

So, next year, ya'll won't see me in the same old clothes in my trip report.

Headed off to find the Photopass pictures on Photobucket.

Photopass pictures from the morning of May, 24, 2013:

Our Buzz pics:

Pictures near the teacups:

**I need to finish up several things on my desk before I leave. It looks like tomorrow won't be too busy so I should get an installment posted sometime during the day.

Wow, that is hot!!

Those are some great deals at Belks. And new clothes are always fun. I bought all new shorts and capris for my trip, with a few new shirts too. I'm excited for wearing them.

Those pictures are great! The one facing the castle is cool, and the Buzz ones are hilarious!!

Did I miss them? Haven't seen them yet. What's up with you guys?

What am I talking about?

No "jumping photos!" :yay::cheer2::jumping3::Pinkbounc:mickeyjum
Next up was a spin on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin:

Hunter in the car by himself:

Apparently, I took just one picture while on Buzz and that’s this one:

That’s probably because I was trying to beat out the boys with my score. How’d that work out for me? Well, I didn’t take a picture of our scores so you’d be right by assuming that I lost to both guys. I always do. I guess that I just don’t have good hand/eye coordination. Who knows? I lasted two whole seconds on Guitar Hero. Yeah, I suck.
A little tip for beating the boys... I know for sure that if you go after the orange robot.. hit the Z in his left hand, worth 100,00 points. Also hit the targets the furthest away from you and higher up...they are worth more...:rotfl:

Fantastic photopass pictures!!!

The family ones at the castle, both facing the camera and backs to are great.

But the ones on Buzz... HILARIOUS!!! :rotfl2:

Hunter's expression is a riot and you look like you are concentrating pretty darned hard.

OMG! Those Buzz pictures are awesome! That one of Hunter is hysterical. :lmao: Seriously perfect timing! :rotfl:

I saw someone wearing your duck commander shirt yesterday. Notice I said - YOURS! I thought of you instantly.

It was pretty darn hot and humid here yesterday too. But not 100 degrees hot. :faint:

Woo hoo to all the awesome buys! :rotfl: I love shopping for left over summer clothes to put away for my next Disney trip. Love pulling new clothes out of the suitcase!

I love the Buzz pictures. And I just noticed that Hunter is now taller than John....and he still has some growing to do...Wow.

Love the photopass pics! Especially the one with the backs of your shirts and Hunter on Buzz. He cracks me up!

And holy hot. I was like that here last Friday.

It's been so hot here this Summer and it doesn't look like the heat is going to let up anytime soon. I think our high today is supposed to be 98.

Did I miss them? Haven't seen them yet. What's up with you guys?

What am I talking about?

No "jumping photos!" :yay::cheer2::jumping3::Pinkbounc:mickeyjum

No, you haven't missed any jumping pics. I think that there were some taken but I can't say for sure. Hunter was on a different kind of picture taking mission this trip. It'll come up later.

The photo of your son on Buzz is hilarious!! :rotfl::lmao:

Isn't he a hoot!?!

Oh my word! I love these! Hunter is hilarious!!! :lmao:

Hunter is such a nut! He loves making crazy faces.

I don't think that I knew about that one little trick. I knew about the volcano but not about the robot hand. Gotta try it! Thanks!

But the ones on Buzz... HILARIOUS!!! :rotfl2:

Hunter's expression is a riot and you look like you are concentrating pretty darned hard.

We had several pictures taken in our Duck Commander shirts but a lot of them were, basically, the same. There are some more though.

Hunter is such a goofball and loves taking crazy pictures like that. I was trying to mug for the camera but didn't come close to the one that Hunter did. John was just trying to beat us both. ;)

OMG! Those Buzz pictures are awesome! That one of Hunter is hysterical. :lmao: Seriously perfect timing! :rotfl:

Hunter's timing was absolutely perfect!

Seems like Duck Commander and Duck Dynasty is making their way across the U.S.

It's been super hot here and I don't see any relief in sight. Our garden and grass are fried.

I love shopping the sales racks and walking away saving tons of money. My receipt said that I saved $190.00.

I love the Buzz pictures. And I just noticed that Hunter is now taller than John....and he still has some growing to do...Wow.

I know! I have no idea how I am going to find jeans to fit him if he keeps growing like he is. :scared1:

Great pics! :)

Thanks!

Love the photopass pics! Especially the one with the backs of your shirts and Hunter on Buzz. He cracks me up!

And holy hot. I was like that here last Friday.

Hunter is a nut and I wouldn't have it any other way.

This Summer has been crazy hot! Everything is, literally, burning up. Okay, so not bursting into flames "burning up" but drying out and burning up.

She wears sea shells by the seashore....oops, make that under the seashore

After peeking through the wall at the mine coaster construction, we followed the construction walls around to the new Little Mermaid attraction. There were so many little details that I wanted to take in while in the line but the line moved quickly and others were behind us so I had to settle for just snapping pictures as I walked:

There were little windows/openings and we would get a glimpse of a cute little crab taking trinkets and treasures and scurrying away. Again, we only had a quick glance.

When we got to the area that was totally under cover, we encountered the line and we could see Scuttle talking with the guests:

Look who we spotted! It’s Ariel!

The following pictures are blurry but I’m going to post them anyway:

I have no pictures of the ending of the attraction because I gave up trying to get a good picture. I take that back, I have this one:

And this one:

I know that this attraction isn’t anything that will blow you away but I’ve always loved the Little Mermaid so I really enjoyed it. Even my boys didn’t complain.

**Up next: Playing the slots in the Magic Kingdom? Huh?
