1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

We really need to get back to Sea World.

I'm so glad you got to meet Michelle and JJ and her hubby. We met Michelle and JJ a few years ago, and we had Mark had a blast with JJ (and trust me...Mark did NOT like an adult during that time!).

Hi Lisa! Glad you had a great weekend with the family! That is awesome that you had a DISmeet! Sounds like you all had a lot of fun! Can't wait to hear more about Sea World!

Great update!

And a bonus grouper picture! Woo HOO! Our family calls all groupers "Chubbs McDuff". I have no idea where the name came from or how we started it, but any time we see a grouper, we say "Oh, look! It's Chubbs McDuff!" (It may be something from The Simpsons, but I don't fully recall)

Glad you had a good visit with the kids (even if they aren't really kids)! And how is your wrist?

Yay for Dismeets! I had two unintentional meet ups on my last trip. I was in the April facebook group and put a lime green Mickey head on my bag. I was recognized at Hollywood Studios and at Epcot. It was so nice meeting up with fellow DISer's!

Well- it seems I have a tendency to arrive late to the report, but at least I am here with lots of Disney Days left.

I love Sea World- haven't been since my kids were about 4 yrs old- so it is nice to see what things have changed. Too bad about the penguins!

Well no that isn't a shock that Hunter wanted pizza. I think that's what River and I would want too. We're both picky too so we eat a lot of pizza at WDW.

It sounds like you had a very nice Dis meet. It's so nice you got to do that!

Glad your Dismeet worked out, looks like you had fun! The sharks are neat to see, It's cool when you go through that tunnel and they swim above you.

Can't wait to see the Whale Show! We went in 2004 and it was fun but Tim and my friend Denise decided they wanted to sit in the splash zone! I really didn't want to but they did and OH did we get SOAKED!! Our shoes were squishy the rest of the day! And they were the only shoes I had with me that trip so I went and washed all 3 of our shoes in the washer at the pool that night when we got home but didn't notice until after they were out that there were signs saying NO Shoes In the Dryers! So now they were more wet than they were, but at least they were clean. But I am a rule follower for the most part so I was good and didn't put them in. They were still wet the next day...

JJ sounds like a delight. So glad you enjoyed your visit. Love the picture of him, and of course Hunter, in the Shark's mouth.

I really enjoyed looking at all those beautiful fish this morning. Keep it up with the Seaworld pictures. I am definitely leaning towards a visit this fall.

Fun update!

Thank you all for your kind words about JJ. He is something else. He loves to bring joy to other's. And the DISmeet with Lisa and family was great!

He could use some prayers and pixie dust if you are so inclined. He's been having some health issues lately.

Lisa, I heard the microwave open yesterday. So I shouted out that he had to wait til I was there with him. I thought he was wanting to make soap. Boy was I surprised to open the microwave and see a ring from a gumball machine inside a little plastic box. Whoa! Think of what could have happened if I didn't hear that microwave door. :worried: He decided he was going to be a super hero. He saw something on tv where they put a ring in the microwave and it gave the people super powers. I cannot even go to the bathroom and leave him alone for a second!

It sounds like you had a fabulous meet and great with Michelle and family. And a nice lunch too.

I'm not surprised to hear you made the top ten. Congrates!! :woohoo:I know I really enjoy your TR.I also keep coming back to your reports due to the amazing pics you and Hunter take. If I knew how I would use them on my ptr. :rolleyes1
I came over from your last one. Think it has taking me two days to get caught up on this one. I will do better this time.
Don't want to go back to far, but that cm at FQ was awful. It does go to show that you are a better person then me. I work with customers all day. I don't put up with much when I'm the customer. I would have told her that how I choose to spend my money and vacation time is none of her concern.
I'm also doing two weeks in 2014. Staying the first time at CBR. That Monkey Cupcake is on the list of must haves. :thumbsup2
Thanks again for sharing.

Yay for the DisMeet, and air conditioning! :rotfl:

I do love the Shark Tank area of SeaWorld, it is pretty nicely laid out and has a great variety of fish. Your picture with all of the Lionfish in it is great!

Hunter looks so tall in those last 2 pictures of you all! :scared1:

Out of all the pics of the fish that I took that day, I thought the Lionfish was the best.

Hunter has grown so much! He's almost to 6 foot tall and he's just 16.

I love "my brother smells like a fish!" :rotfl2:

Great Dis meet and great fish pictures.

Wasn't that cute?! We said that the whole afternoon.

Great update, Lisa!!! So glad I got to read a bit before leaving. We head out tomorrow-driving to Buffalo to pick up the nephew and then flying out from there Thursday to WDW!!! No computer this time. so I won't be able to keep up with everyone.
So glad you had a wonderful visit with your grown children! ;) Have a great week. Hopefully I will have some wonderful new updates to read when we return.
:wave2:

Woohoo! You're on vacation! Have fun!

Love the print of your bag. I use my bag all the time. I told Lisa she needs to mail me business cards. I can be a walking advertisement for her. SOOOOOO many people have asked me where I got my Minnie bag.

As soon as I get my "sewing/exercise/extra" room back, I'm sending out those cards, I promise!

JJ was more than game for pizza. The whole way into the park he was complaining that he didn't want the BBQ place. But we told him it had to be a place with air conditioned and this was where we all decided. He was THRILLED it ended up being pizza.

The pizza hit the spot!

I warned you Lisa before the blessing that we never know what will come out of his mouth.

It wouldn't have mattered what kind of blessing he said, it would still have been a blessing. Lacey and Hunter used to say something like "and please don't let this food make us sick". :rotfl:

Yes, there's is no doubt he believes every word he said. And I'm sure they are actual fish facts that either his brother or one of the zillion documentary shows on fish he's watched has told him. Just not sure if those facts apply to those species of sharks?? Lol.

Oh I know that he meant everything he was telling us. You could tell that he did.

We had a wonderful time with you and your family. I'm so glad it worked out for us to meet up.

We had a great time too!

Lisa,

First off, I'm glad you enjoyed your visit with your kids.

It was just a short trip but it was better than nothing!

Second, OMG I hope your hand or wrist is ok.

It's better, thank goodness!

Third, Love that string bag you made. Can you give me some info about your bags? Or PM me if that is not allowed on the site. They are so cute!!

Thanks!!

I make the bags in all sizes and colors and would be glad to post more info on them. Let me get my sewing room back in order and I'll post some pics.

What a fun dismeet!

I have to say that in our house we're diggin' Hunter's hipster hat. Very 1950's.

I told him that he looked like the guy off The Honeymooners and he didn't have a clue who we were talking about. I had to google a pic. Gosh I felt old. :lmao:

I am so confused over the 2 nights. LOL
Oh Vinny is happy to hear that about the birds.
Too bad the penguins opened the next day.
Cute sea lions.
Loved all the fish pics.
All caught up.

I was confused too so don't feel bad.

We had a great time at Sea World and I'm glad that we went.

Great dismeet and that JJ sounds like a great kid! Glad you had fun with Lacey and Jesse. What happened to your wrist?

JJ was a great kid and I'm glad that we met up with him and his family.

I am such a dork. We had my family over Sunday afternoon so we could all spend time with Lacey and Jesse. My niece looked at the big spread of food that I had out and said something like "what else you got?" as a joke. I looked at her and said "some awesome dance moves" and proceeded to flap my arms around and stomp my feet. Well, that didn't work too well because I hit the top of my hand and wrist on the cabinet and I thought that I had broken something. It was a mess! My Mickey head bracelet cut the top of my hand, it was all swollen up and I could barely move my fingers.

I'll never learn to act my age! :rotfl:

What a nice meet up, and fish lesson! How do you tell a boy fish from a girl fish? They really all look the same while in a tank! LOL

JJ was so fun and I'm so happy that we met them!

Sounds like you had a great dismeet :thumbsup2 JJ seems like the kind of kid that just brightens your day :goodvibes

He definitely provided some smiles, that's for sure!

What a nice DISmeet. I love JJ's signature pose...too cute.

It was very nice to meet up with them. JJ had that move down pat!

Sounds like a really fun Dismeet! Glad your meal was good (and air conditioned!) I love the sharks at Seaworld, they're so awesome! JJ's pose is great, especially after the sharks!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

It was a great Dismeet and I'm so glad that it worked out that we could visit with each other for a while.

Great DIS meet!! Looks like you all had a good time.

We did have a great time together!

We really need to get back to Sea World.

I'm so glad you got to meet Michelle and JJ and her hubby. We met Michelle and JJ a few years ago, and we had Mark had a blast with JJ (and trust me...Mark did NOT like an adult during that time!).

I can only imagine what sort of things JJ and Mark did together! :lmao:

Hi Lisa! Glad you had a great weekend with the family! That is awesome that you had a DISmeet! Sounds like you all had a lot of fun! Can't wait to hear more about Sea World!

We did have a lot of fun! More Sea World coming soon!

I know that our families would get along great because we have silly saying like ya'll do. It's funny how something gets said once and it sticks.

The wrist is doing lots better, thanks! It's still sore but almost all of the swelling is gone down. The Mickey head bracelet cuts are still there. Darn that Mickey!

Aren't Dis Meets the greatest!?! I love it!

Well- it seems I have a tendency to arrive late to the report, but at least I am here with lots of Disney Days left.

I love Sea World- haven't been since my kids were about 4 yrs old- so it is nice to see what things have changed. Too bad about the penguins!

Welcome! It doesn't matter when you arrive, so long as you are here!

It had been a long time since we'd been to Sea World. I think it was 12 or 13 years.

I'm sorry to say that I laughed at how you injured your hand. Because that is so totally something that I would do. :rotfl:

I'm sorry that you still have the cuts from your Mickey bracelet. Ouch!
