1 Child and 10 Adults--A GG to Celebrate DD's 4th Bday :) TR Link is Posted

Things I don't want to forget:

Pop up hamper for dirty clothes.
I picked one up on clearance, clearance at Bed Bath and Beyond in February. We took it to NC and it worked out great!! It is with our camping stuff so I don't want to forget to shift it over to our Disney pile.

Medicines: both the daily and the occasional. I mentioned it in replies back to postings, but we forgot allergy/sinus meds when we went down last time and ended up needing them. We had to pay Disney prices for it!

ADR numbers:
just in case we need them. Though I am lucky because I can call our TA to get them if we were to forget them.

Odd question: for you parents, do you travel with identification for your children? I know with the GAD promotion, many are but without the promotion would you? The only identification we have for Lilian would be her birth certificate. Should I carry a copy of it with us?

I may take you up when we get closer on sharing your packing list--I will let you know. If not, would be willing to look over mine and tell me what I am forgetting? :flower3:

Absolutely!!! I can compare your list to mine and see if you're forgetting anything! :goodvibes

I will be taking a copy of Maddie's birth certificate with us. We both had GAD vouchers, so I will need it for that. If you plan on doing a TR when you get back, I highly recommend bringing a trip journal with you. I bring a Vera Bradley mini notebook with me and carry it in my Hipster. Whenever we're standing in line or riding the buses, I update what we've done so far. On the first page, I always write down the park hours, parade times, etc for the week. On the next page, I write down all of my ADR's with the times and confirmation #'s. That way, I always have it with me. The VB notebook has 2 small pockets in the front. I print out a list of the attractions that are open for AM EMH and PM EMH for each park and keep them in the pockets.

We just use one of our empty suitcases for our dirty clothes because I refuse to do laundry while I'm at Disney. The only time I did do laundry was when we stayed at a Marriott offsite (with my parents timeshare points) and there was a washer & dryer in the room.

Meds are definately a must. I always bring pain reliever and sinus stuff with us. However, when you get a sinus infection (like I did last June), Sudafed just doesn't cut it.

I like the power strip idea! We never have enough outlets to re-charge our electronic devices...
I always bring the birth certificates. I've never needed them but I always bring them.

Ok--since I'm a picture-taking fool I bought a back up battery for my Canon Rebel--along with the charger. Every night when we got back to the room I would download all of pictures onto my laptop (that way my memory in my camera was never full). Then I would charge the battery I used that day so I would always have TWO camera batteries just in case one died (it never did b/c I charged one every night but it gave me peace of mind knowing my camera was always functioning). ;)

The pop up hamper is a great idea. I remember last year we were stuffing our dirty clothes in a garbage bag and bringing to the laundry area in that. :headache: I'm putting that on my list, i'm going to start looking for a little cheap one!!!!

I bring birth certificates too, ya never know why or if you'd need them. I keep them in the room.

You can get those "pop up hampers" really cheap at a Dollar Store or Walgreens (Walgreens are a little "steadier"). We get them for our college boys for their laundry and transporting laundry to and from school when they bring it home for mom to wash. :)

The only time I ever brought ID for my kids was when they were flying as a lap child to prove their age. So unless that is the case I personally wouldn't worry about it, but I'm sure lots of people have good reasons that they do.

Instead of a pop up hamper (because I could not find one I liked before we left)I wipe down the drawers spray them w/ Lysol and unpack...than I lay a plastic bag in the bottom of our suit case and I refold our dirty laundry and re pack this way it was neat and out of the way...but, I do like the hamper idea.

I had packed all our medicines (perscription and OTC) the month before with a list (last year we forgot Danny's creams so this year I refilled them just before and packed them when we came home).

I have to have a hat (I hate to wear one! ) but, I have lost most of my hair since Dayne and now Ashton's birthday so my head gets very sunburned...this year I tried spraying sunscreen but that gets really gross in the heat (but, I did read in a magazine that one of the popular shampoos just came out with sunscreen for the scalp--when I find it I'll have to let you know what it is)...

We did not carry ID for Ashton other than his ID tag that he wore on his lanyard...I asked Danny if he thought I should make a copy of his BC this year and last and he said he did not think it was necessary for this type of trip...but, we did take them with us when we went on a cruise (had to).

I am a picture taking fool too Becky! :rotfl: I figure I will be cleaning off my card everyday. I need to pick up a second battery, but I plan to do so before we leave. Camera and cell phone chargers are definites on the list for us.

It worked really nicely for us when we went to NC. It helped keep our clothes organized and our suitcases got put away after we unpacked and did not come back out until we packed to go home. :goodvibes

I found mine (good size and sturdy) at Bed Bath and Beyond--clearance section. It was originally $12 I think and we got it for $3. A great deal to me!

I have seen them at Bed Bath and Beyond (where we got ours) and Target too.

Good to know--thanks!

I may have to consider getting a hat too since I keep getting a red scalp where my hair parts. Ouch! :headache: I hate wearing them too though so we will see. They use to make these sunscreen wipes for heads but I don't think so anymore. My in-laws have some still but the expiration date has long past though. :rolleyes1

On the way home we shift clean clothes to one suitcase and dirty clothes in another. I don't like them mingling together.

We might end up getting passports...we are considering taking a cruise and it would make sense to have it for them. :confused3 We shall see--we need to make that decision soon to get them in time for September.
