1/4 mile or 1/3 mile?

Hello again. I'm sorry to ask the same question again but I'm a bit confused. I just got my new passporter and was flipping thru it. I noticed it said that deck 4 was 1/4 mile around but when I asked this question a week or so ago someone replied with a photo of a sign saying it was 1/3 of a mile around. Which one is it?

3 laps = about 1 land mile
4 laps = about 1 nautical mile

Since most people think in land miles when they're exercising, not nautical miles, it looks like the Passporter is incorrect. I believe the sign from the ship.
