1,353 MILES! "Get Your Motor Runnin'" or "Leaving on a Jet Plane"?

Should Shocker attempt to devour the 48 ounce steak at Shula's?

  • No, he might get sick and ruin the rest of the vacation for Wigd.

  • Yes, he has the right to take this challenge.

Yes, Wigd, solo time in the parks might just be a wonderful thing!

Attempting to eat that much steak in one sitting would unleash a chain of events of cataclysmic proportions.

Watch...

You eat 48 ounces of steak.
You begin to feel ill.
You insist on heading back to the hotel room.
You writhe in pain like Meg Ryan in French Kiss after she has eaten all that cheese.
Wigd gets sick and tired of listening to your moaning when you should have known better in the first place.
She decides to leave and head to Downtown Disney by herself.
With the Disney Visa.
She returns, seemingly empty-handed, five hours later.
The next day, the packages arrive for pick up.
Wigd has single-handedly bought out the entire World of Disney.
You now have to transmit it all home AND find a place for all of it.

All of this could have been avoided...

Just don't eat that steak, Shocker!

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Will we be driving? YES!

Will we be flying? YES!

How far will we drive? OKC? Tulsa? DFW? KC? StL? Springfield/Branson? Little Rock? Fayetteville? Memphis? Knoxville? Shreveport? New Orleans? Atlanta?

I continually checked airfare from each of these cities simply to cut the drive short.

I was shocked :scared1: today when I received an email about a possible fare from one of these cities!

We will be driving about 260 miles to the east/southeast and then boarding an Airtran non-stop flight to Orlando! We have never flown non-stop!

I would get rid of Raglan Road.....I really liked The Wave....A LOT :) I had the filet and it was delicious...they also have really good butter...and who doesn't love butter? :rotfl2:
Can't wait to see the finalized plans...I am also thinking that you are driving/flying :goodvibes

I know you are relieved to be able to fly most of the way. Non-stop flights are the greatest!

We will get up early and drive to the

. We will depart at 4:27 p.m. and will arrive at 7:35 p.m.

Oh, did you want to know what day we will arrive in Orlando?

We will be arriving on SATURDAY, March 13th. Our DVC reservation is at Boardwalk from March 14th through March 19th. Whatever will we do on Saturday night? I thought we could sleep at MCO and hitch a ride the next morning on the Magical Express! But Wigd nixed that idea...So, we will be staying that one night at

:woohoo: for flying non-stop! I have my first non-stop flight in May and I am quite excited by this! ::yes::
And I find this interesting....my flight is at 4:32 and arrives at 7:16....a bit similar to yours!!

The earlier arrival gives us an extra evening and morning in the parks. What could be better? Exactly, an added night at the end of the trip!

We will be departing Orlando on Saturday, March 20th, at 2:30 p.m. after spending Friday night at

This Spring Break trip has grown from March 14th-March 19th to March 13th-March 20th! I will now have to add some ADRS. Maybe Shula's? :cool1:

We got a great fare by adding the two nights. Both of us for a total of $580 and that includes the luxury ($80) of sitting in an exit row on each flight!

GREAT NEWS!!! I was a little worried about your LONG drive.:sad2: So now I get to be happy that you are driving a little and flying a little :)

The pressure is really on now! I need to get down there and be sure the place is in order for you guys. I mean, I thought maybe someday you would come and visit us at Pop, maybe, but I never thought you'd be staying there. As many times as we have stayed, I should have 'peeps' that can take care of you - give you the deluxe Pop room and all.

There is no such thing, though.
No peeps.
No deluxe rooms. :upsidedow

Anyway, I sure hope you at least kinda like it.

I'm glad your trip has been stretched into a longer one. I am hoping to be able to do it again next March.

That's great news about the flight and woohoo for added days/nights! Nonstop flights are the best and to get more Disney out of it, well what's not to

As for the steak...I just don't know if anyone should eat that much cow...

Great news about flying... and an extra night at WDW. I am getting super jealous that all this fun is happening so soon! As for the steak... that is way to much meat!

Say hello to the Potato Heads for me.
And Goofy.
And the Big Wheel.
And Lady.
And Tramp.
And my gift shop.
And take one walk around Brooklynn's kiddie pool.
And don't forget to say hi to Mowgli and Baloo.
They're just so happy to see folks every morning.
And that giraffe that looks just like the one I made at home. ;)

I am sobbing now.

Just so you know, you are still invited.
You have a place to stay.
Shocker will have steak to share....
A 10 hour drive.

Why don't you reconsider.

Shocker is going to have enough steak to share with a whole bunch of people!
Heck, I could have Jarvis come along and bring his mom and all of her young'uns and still have steak for her to take home in her daughter's purse!

I tried to get two nights out of Jill for a quickie quickie trip, but she's being the voice of reason. I'm up for driving down there for one day at Epcot or Animal Kingdom, doing some window shopping at DTD the next day, and then driving back that afternoon.

I am sick, I tell ya! :crazy2:
I have been speaking with myself daily about this.
