Well, not all things go as planned, but it's true that all's well that ends well.
After giving up on trying to coordinate Monkey's Birthday Party between our East Coast friends watching Lost so not on until late and our West Coast needing to go so they could watch Lost, it seemed Monkey's party was going to be lost.
So.... Plan B. Who says the birthday girl has to walk into a room of people to yell surprise? This time, the birthday girl got to play in her personal party room as everyone filtered in and out.
Before long, the place was full and the chips and dip, the icing on the cake, the bumper boat park and the seaside table were all being enjoyed as part of the birthday festivities.
We had bumper boats, bounce, sea side drinks, a throne for a Green Queen, some chips and dip, and of course, a few birthday shoes, errr, boots.
Thank you to everyone who came by to add to Monkey's day. For those of you who didn't make it, we missed you. And for those of you who waited in line, thanks for hanging in there while we made space for you. I know it meant a lot to Monkey to have you all there.
Happy Birthday my friend. Thank you for all you have brought into my life. I hope you enjoyed your day - in real life and in the virtual world.

P.S. For anyone who's curious, the mouse has been found! Phew! Thank goodness for the glowing LED light on the bottom.
