1/2 marathon road closures

When do they start closing roads? is it unrealistic to plan on driving to and from the start of the race?

It definitely is realistic. I stay off property, so I always drive in. They do ask that you be in the parking lot by 4:30 the morning of the race. I know some that show up a little later with no problem, but I am not one for living that closely to the edge. Besides getting there at 4:30 allows you to spend time with the awesome people here on WISH.

I missed the bus to EPCOT from BCV by seconds (saw the bus leave and I ran towards it...) That was at 5am - took a cab (conveniently sitting there) and they couldnt get thru the road closure - so I had to go to MK

(I was just there to cheer dh and the wish teamers on - and wanted to be at MK anyway!)
