Is it possible to se CA in 1/2 day? (Never been) My DD and I won't arrive in CA til about 10am, need to rent a car, check in at hotel, etc. We are planning on DL the next day, and we didn't want to try both parks in 1 day. We usually like to get there when the park opens and stay til closing. Is it worth the extra $ to get the 2day park hopper? Or should we try to cram everything in(been to DL several times) on just the 1 day? (Thurs)

In my opinion, you really can't see everything at CA in half a day. It has the electric parade, the Aladdin show, some neat rides, and other shows we enjoy.

My family didn't see all of CA in two days. We're already planning another trip.

What time of year? if crowds are light, you can do a hell of a lot. Even if crowds are heavy, I think it would be worth it if you can make it by early afternoon.

Dont try to cram it all into one day. Its way too much. You can't even see all of DL in one day. You would miss a lot of if you tried to do both in one day.

Like all parks it depends on what interests you. I think it is a disappointing park for Disney but there is enough to do there to fill a whole day.

If your only options are to either do them both in one day or have a 2 day hopper with just 1/2 day at CA I'd definately get the 2 day hopper and go as soon as you get there. 1 1/2 days between the two parks is still much better than just 1 day.

Thanks eveyone. I just bought my 2-day hoppers. We should get to CA by 12, and hop over to DL after the parade to go on a few rides during the firework show. I didn't realize that CA didn't even open until 10, so we'll only miss out on a few hours and we never go back to our hotel.

I'm not a big fan of California Adventure, so when I plugged the things I wanted to see into the Ridemax software, it told me I could do it all in about 40 minutes! :rotfl2:

I'd say take a careful look at the attractions, and decide what you're interested in. If CA doesn't turn out to be all you're hoping for, you can always head over to Disneyland. :cool1:
