Well all you people that like Snow and cold are welcome to come to Maine anytime. We have had snow on the ground since the first week in November,and now we are geting Mary's cold weather from CHI town.

Well today Nanc and I are on our way to Boston to see a Celtics game.
Our son Dave got us tickets through the fire department. For $66.00 per person we get game tickets and bus transportation.
I hope we get there eary enough so we can walk over to Qunciy Market. It's only about a 10 minute walk from the Banknorth Garden.

We are getting everything together for the DCL party tomorrow night. It should be so much fun. Linda is ging to teach me how to make mickey krispy bar - I think that is what they are called??? seems to be fairly easy. we are never too old to learn new things. ha ha

Mary, I hope you are feeling better this morning. I know there is a bug making its rounds through the office. It is pretty nasty.

It is 11 degrees here today, but suppose to be in the 50s by Sunday. Well they always say if you don't like the weather in Tennessee, just wait 15 minutes.

oh robin: 11 deg. - don't know what it is here, but about the same. I let Linda's dog out this morning and just stood there. For about 3 minutes it felt good and then I came back in. ha ha - dry cold, not wet like I am used to, tho.

I see when the snow melts it does get yucky.

Gary and Gail (OKWMEMBER) are keeping track of certain postings. I seem to be right around those posting the past couple of times. I think whomever is in the lead -sometime down the road/future - gets a new Ferrari, red in color with Mickey ears painted on the hood. NOT!!!!!!!!

It does keep us posting and talking nonsense to each other until we cruise.

I won't be able to post at all while I am on my trip to Germany, so I have to get some fun in while I can.

SO glad it is Friday and the weekend is here! Does anyone know how to put a ticker into a hotnmail signature? Also, about staying at Boardwalk - how early does Disney transportation get you to the port? Anyone know of or know where to find statistics on the percentages of childless travellers on Disney cruises by month?

Enjoy the snow those of you who have it! Personally I'd love to go back out to Colorado (we were there for Christmas) and ski some more. I'm not ready for warm (read Atlanta hot and humid) weather yet. We don't get spring here.

Mimi - I haven't seen any statistics about childless travelers but I can tell you that the DVC Member Cruises usually have a much smaller group of children on board than a regular DCL cruise. Here's the group picture from 2003. The adults are in blue and the kids are in yellow:

Linda has her party well on the way to being wonderful. She ha sso many things planned for her guests. Disney did a great job of sending items to her for use during the party.

Such a beautiful sketch by Ducky Williams. That was worth the whole thing. Now we can forget the party. ha ha = NO not really, I am just kidding.

There are giong to be a lot of 4 day cruises given by DCL and I hope a lot of them are Dis'ers. Each guest has gotten a $50 onboard credit for a future cruise. Everyone that RSVP'd with their hosts will be eligible for one of the 4 day cruises. Don't know how many of those will be won.

There will be 1,107 parties tonight within the U.S. -

Anyways, it will be fun for a lot of people.

I fly home very early tomorrow morning. Have tons to do, as I have to work the primary voting polls on Tuesday at my local precinct. It starts at 5:30 am for the clerk and I can't leave until the last vote is cast and then, as the Clerk, I have to prepare everything and close up - tally the votes for the Supervisor of Elections - and wait for tem to pick all the machines and documents. So I can see me getting home by 9 pm. or later. Wednesday will be my NOTHING day for sure. This will be an endurance challenge for me to say the least.

I think that the 2007 Member Cruise had more children than previously. If I were home, I would post a pic of the 2007 group picture, as they were in front again. The normal amount of children on a given curise is 1,000 to 1200 and the Member cruise is way considerably less.

Hence, Senerity Bay is always packed during the Member Cruise.

I agree with Mary and Kay the 2006 member cruise had alot less children than the Sept. 2007 7 night that we took...Not sure why? We are bringing 3 kids with us, we think this will be the last year that we can take the oldest out of school as she starts Jr. High in 2009.
We are doing a 3 night on 2/7, with the kids, and then a 4 night 2/10 without the kids, so I'm sure I will be more observant of the children around me on the 4 night.
