I tried someone's krackberry with physical keyboard and it didn't seem any better than the iPhone keyboard.

well i'm proficient with the mini-keys, so i dont need to look while i type (can't do that with touch screen keys)

As I recall, you aren't the only one on here with a cracked iPhone 3 or 3gs screen. For those of you who want to have it repaired for a reasonable amount, drop me a PM. We have a client who does that reasonably and is reliable.
