I found minute maid makes 'Minute Maid Lite" fruit punch and lemonade (only 5 grams of carbs per serving). That is what I like to mix my rum or 99 bananas in!:drinking1

I like the minute maid lite lemonade too! Jason said someone at work was talking about Parrot Bay rum vs Malibu rum. I guess the Parrot Bay coconut rum has few carbs and almost twice the alcohol content. More bang for your buck in a couple of different ways!

Not uncomfortable at all. Jason is though. He didn't even tell his family that he had been diagnosed. Just got into the gym and worked out until he got everything normalized and they took it off his medical chart. The doc calls him her star patient. I have another name for him. He spends two hours at the gym five days a week though. Not everyone can find the time to do that!

If you have recipes to share, I'd love to have them. Like I said, I've tried some things that my family just won't eat. All Kyle ever wants is burritos and burgers. One of his favorite things is when I make what we call "super salad". I buy all kinds of yummy fixings and put it out salad bar style. That way they can build their own salad with what they want. We did get them to branch out a little when we started involving them in the cooking. Kyle loves to grill and Paul cooks dinner more often that I do now.

Chicken breast marinated in Italian dressing overnight and grilled to perfection! :thumbsup2

Sausage and Sauerkraut
Make your wheat crust Pizza
Burgers, Brats and Dogs on wheat buns
I like burgers with a fried egg on them, no bun :thumbsup2
Italian sausage links and green peppers in spaghetti sauce in the crock till it is fall apart tender
Mashed Potatoes with cauliflower. a 50/50 mix :thumbsup2

That is nice to know!

That's one of my favorites. :goodvibes

Sausage and Sauerkraut

We like sausages, but not the sauerkraut. I think you may have to grow up eating it. Jason and I didn't and so neither have the boys.

Make your wheat crust Pizza

I'll have to try this one. I have a kick butt recipe for pizza dough, but it uses white flour. Wonder if I can try it with whole wheat.

Burgers, Brats and Dogs on wheat buns

We did brats for dinner, but they were out of wheat buns. Had to go with white ones. We always buy wheat when we can. Luckily, I made that change when the boys were very little. So, they don't remember any differently. It was a bit hard for me to switch at first though. I loved wonder bread!!

Jason likes an egg on his burger. But he does have a bun with it.

Italian sausage links and green peppers in spaghetti sauce in the crock till it is fall apart tender

Jason and I would love this, but my boys have something against Italian sausage. :sad2:

Mashed Potatoes with cauliflower. a 50/50 mix :thumbsup2

I'll have to try this one. I tried the fauxtatoes thing with 100% cauliflower and thought it was awful!! I like cauliflower, but not mashed into pretending it's potatoes. :guilty:

It will be so much easier to cook good meals when we aren't cooking for the boys anymore. :thumbsup2

:confused3 I believe that's a question better answered by Wally or Terrie.

Ok, we live in Broward County, house built in 1999 it's a 3/2 2500 sq ft. Homeowner's insurance for us last year was $2267.47 and flood insurance $479. Our policy covers a number of calamities and the structure and contents of the house not just the mortgage.

The average for the state of Florida in 2008 was about $1390. Florida and Texas seem to flip flop over the top spot with Louisiana and California not far behind.

We have 3/2 1500 sq ft ranch built in 93. Our homeowners is about $800 I think. Deb will make that correction, I'm sure, when she sees it. So yeah, that would be more but we would still be able to make that up no problem with the savings in property taxes and no income taxes! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

HEAR THAT DEB!!!

How much is a normal utility bill? Electric and gas together!

Does proximity to the coast play a factor? The further inland the cheaper? :confused3

:scared1::scared1::scared1: Ours is around $800 or so, IIRC.

Probably more truth than we'd like to know. It wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened. And Chicago isn't exactly known for it's "clean" politics. ;)

That's for sure!! The problem is that we live in northwest Indiana which just over the border from Chicago and their politics bleed over here to us in Lake County. We're known as the most corrupt county in the state! :thumbsup2
