Hmmm, so my mom wants to know if I want to go vacation somewhere while my kids are off at camp. Why am I drawing a blank of places to see that aren't Disney? At first she wanted to know if I wanted to come visit her. Ummmm, Arizona in mid-July. No. Been there, done that, for ten YEARS. Not doing it again.

Any suggestions?

The DVC Concierge Collection offers some great places to vacation. We have been to many of them and they have been top flight accommodations. Just my 2 cents.

She wants to use her banked weeks at Interval International. Guess she's got three of them. Sad thing is, she only bought that timeshare because they told her she could use it for Disney. She got one trip in at Saratoga before DVC switched out.

Interval went through a long period where they had nothing in the Anaheim area. I looked tonight and they list the Doubletree in Orange now. And that's just a hotel, not a timeshare. Weird.

Do they have any Alaskan sites? Or maybe Oregon... It is wonderful close to Portland. So much for my 2¢ worth.

Are there "not wine" things to do there? She's Mormon.

Lot.s of great restaurants, shopping, and olive oil tastings and tours if wine is not allowed. Check out the Sonoma county web site, they have a guide online of stuff to do.

I looked at airfare for Nova Scotia, but prices were about $1000/ticket. Prices to BC are less than half that. There are a few places there that may work.

So after countless times on the riding on the monorail system, we FINALLY got to ride on the TRON themed Mark IV one since it was decked out over a year ago; but after talking to one of the CM, they are going to be removing it very soon. Glad we were able to to ride it @ least once.

We didn't make it back in time for Wishes , but we still had some snacks @ TOTWL for dinner. We basically had one of everything and apparently we ate the LAST crab nachos since they are taking it off their menu after tonight.
