Ok, so I just called DCL and told the lady I had 23 reservations to link together so that we could all be on the same dining rotation. She lets me start giving her the reservation numbers and halfway through she informs me that I shouldn't link any more reservation numbers until after everyone has booked their shore excursions. WHY DIDN'T SHE TELL ME THAT BEFORE I STARTED GIVING HER THE RESERVATION NUMBERS??!!! GGGRRRRR!!!!!

So, I guess I can't link the rest of the reservation numbers until closer to the cruise.

I love DCL but they really need to come up with a better reservation system! Don't they know they're dealing with the world's most detailed planners?!

Doesn't make sense to me. Maybe she just got tired of typing in the reservation numbers.

Hello Everyone!!

Sounds like you all are busy booking reservations and making your plans.

I am trying to make my final decisions on the dates. I think we are going to fly down late afternoon on the 15th versus Friday morning. The kids can go to school for at least half the day and then we will arrive around dinner time. I think we will be flying back on Saturday, the 24th late afternoon also.

This is a new schedule for us since we always take the first flight in the morning (7am) on the way down and a later flight on the return. And we usually come back on Sunday. This will give us a day to recoup on Sunday. The last few trips have taken their toll on me. I have been so much more tired when I returned then before we left. And, I did not think that was possible.

I have to make my final decision tonight and get it booked while I can still get the $78 flights.

We want to stay at AKV this trip. I am going to try to get AKV for after the cruise so we can do the special safari activity. Those last few days will be relaxing before we head home. Not sure how my plan will work out but it's a thought. And we LOVE Boma.

I just have to make a decision for before the cruise. We get spoiled at BCV with the quick walk to Epcot and CMC is great for those last minute plans for breakfast or dinner. But BLT is also nice to jump on the monorail to MK and I really want to go to California Grill and The Wave. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Well, I will never get my flights booked if I do not get off of here.

DS is cabin camping this weekend with Scouts along the Chesapeake and DD and I went to the district wrestling tournament for our high school kids. Starts back up tomorrow at noon. DD is going to try to sell the Girl Scout cookies tomorrow. Keeping our fingers crossed. I figure as the boys drop out of the tournament they can buy cookies!!! Once they are done this one that is it for the year. No more cutting weight. We have about 50 boxes left to sell and our troop has lots and lots of cases still to sell. Apparently, if we do not sell them our troop has to buy them. No returns.

Oh, one other thing. We found our FE gifts and they are purchased. Other than putting the special kids gifts together, we are done!!!

Why would that matter? It's not as if once our reservations are linked we can't still book shore excursions ourselves, right? I wonder if a different CM would tell you a different answer.

What do shore excursions have to do with dining reservations? Did I miss something somewhere?

Apparently if all of our reservations are linked together, if you want to book an excursion you can't do it online and you have to call DCL and un-link your reservation then book your excursion then link your reservation number back.

For the SSMC09 cruise, the person that organized the linked dining sent DCL a spreadsheet with all the details. She sent me some information a while back. I will see if I can find the details she provided.

THAT'S what I wanted to do but they said I had to do it all over the phone! If you can get me the info that would be GREAT!!!!!!

Just a reminder...don't forget there is still time for people to sign up for it. So hopefully you got extra's. Last year we had several people sign up at the last minute.

Well DD had a restless night and when she got out of the bath this morning she complained she was not feeling well. So, right now she is curled up on the couch in her footy pjs and with her big fuzzy pink blanket watching Felicity - one of the American Girl movies.

So, looks like we will not be going today.

We have enough FE's for 50 cabins.

I have to track down the email with the details. Not sure which email address it was sent to so it may take me a little bit of time. Need to call Member Services now and get our room booked so will try to find it after that.

Hmmmm, that doesn't sound right at all. I was just reading a post last night that talked about a person being able to see the other reservations that her cabin was linked with when she booked her excursions ONLINE, but she couldn't book any excursions for the other people her reservation was linked with. She was gold or platinum and the others had a "lower" CC rating or none at all. I don't know if that makes a difference in this situation or not. But, she was able to book her own excursions online.

Thank you very much! Looks like I'm estimating 50 ish cabins? So for example, there are about 2-4 people per cabin x 31 cabins (for now) 62-124 FE's, I might need an extra suitcase just for the FE's!!! And the pirate costumes, and the surprise disney blankets I got for my girls...

I booked my airfaire with Airtran Monday Morning 99$ one way! I'm soo excited. We're leaving ont the 16th at 7am and returing on the 4pm flight both non-stop. I may look into renting a room for the day at the airport hotel. Any suggestions?

Happy Sunday to everyone!! For those of you going to the DISMEET on Saturday, are u all driving up/down/over early in the morning?? I was thinking about coming up to Schaumburg Friday after school and checking into a hotel. Lilly likes to stay at hotels and swim and run around. Schaumburg is an hour from where I live, but thought it might me a nice little night out/getaway!! Anyone else thinking that????
