I was sick yesterday and spent the entire day on the couch...mostly sleeping. And then got up around 3:00 to get ready to go see Tangled - awesome movie! Then came back home and went right back to the couch. I'm feeling a little better today.

So sorry to hear you were sick yesterday but glad your a little better today.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DAN & SUE and many more.

I'm a little late, sorry.

Happy Anniversary Dan & Sue! Hope it was great.

Debbie, hope your better. So sorry to hear you didn't feel well. My son was not feeling well Christmas Eve and spent the night in his room as 18 people rampaged through our house;) He is feeling much better today.

Everyone in the path of that East coast snowstorm please be safe!:scared1:

We are travelling to Ohio tomorrow for a quick trip for our son. We are going to a racing shop. Should be back on Wednesday.
Have a great night:hug:

Drive carefully!

What race shop are you going to?

Michael

More than likely you will find one :) What does your son race?

He is currently restoring his 72 chevy pick up C10. He has a 500 horse power454. I guess he hopes to find different parts for the 72 and his daily driver which is a 99 Lifted Blazer. When the 72 is restored he wants to race 1/4 mile track.
He has raced out at Sycamore on oval clay track.

Good Morning Everyone and (sorry so late) Merry Christmas!

Been off for awhile as I have been enjoying our middle son who is home for a visit! He leaves on Dec. 31 and off to golf and visit friends while his course is closed down.

Oldest son Bob got home to NC on leave on the 17th and will have to go back on Jan. 1. Not a happy new year present - but our prayers will be with him everyday as he heads back to Afghanistan until June. Then hopefully home for good. We haven't gotten a chance to see him, but know he is enjoying a well-deserved visit at home!

We had a nice Christmas with my mom and brother and his whole family - it was really fun to have the baby to watch on her first Christmas!

I haven't gone back to read and catch up - but Happy Anniversary to Dan and Sue.

Ian, I will share a photo of the boys with their gifts shortly! They were a big hit! Thank you again!

Hey Lynn,

I assume the race engine is not driven on the street, but if it is, I would be interested in what he thinks about his oil. If he only races it, then his oil probably has a lot of zinc and phosphorous (ZDDP) and he changes it after every race, which won't help me out any.

We just replaced a 1995 454 in our boat, and I suspect reduced levels of ZDDP led to the last engine's demise. (The EPA is demanding longer service life from catalytic converters, which is the reason for the reduction of ZDDP in motor oil). This is probably not a factor in modern engines with roller cams vs. what he and I have.

Thanks

I hope that he does well. I spend time doing safety work at both Road America in Elkhart Lake WI (about and hour from home and Blackhawk Farms in Rockton IL. Road racing is a lot of fun ... :drive:

Hi John I asked my son your question and he said it's a street truck thats built for the track. He actually hasn't raced it yet as he is still rebuilding it. But said he doesn't think he would change the oil after ever race. He said he is only running 9/5 compression. Me :confused3 lol.
Ronny wants to know if you race your boat? Also do you run it in salt or fresh water and how often do you run it?
