09/18/11 - DVCers Take Over the Dream (S.S. Member Cruise 2011) - Thread #4

Hey everybody!!! Been gone for a little bit. Looks like I haven't missed too much, love the tours of the other rooms/poker. Jim and I are in for both. We are in #9560 which is 5A, but it looks like we already have that listed. So we are definitley in to view and play poker!!!

Have had a very busy week. Internet has been out for about 5 days...love COMCAST!! Thought I would go crazy!! Lost a wonderful and beloved aunt this week too. Attended her funeral on Wednesday. Very sad. She was the glue that held our Zappa family together. I miss her already. This being said....it is great to be back!!! Have to get my DVC/Dream fix!!

Congrats, Happy Birthdays, etc....to all I have missed. For those at Disney, hope you are having a great time. We leave in exactly 22 days!!!

Kelly, I'll put you in as an alternate. I wouldn't be suprised if once we decide when to do it, there aren't conflicts with what some people have going on.

It's bad enough to lose a family member, yet even worse when it is someone you're close to and has such meaning to the whole family. Deeply sorry for your loss.

GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE, ITS RAINY AND MILD HERE IN CANADA. I HEAR YOU HAVE A BIT OF SNOW IN THE MIDWEST.

Just put up my CHRISTMAS MICKEY on the house. All this snow (everywhere else)made me feel like putting up the lights!

These are actually last years' pictures. We don't have the white tree on the left side of the house this year. And we don't have the lights running on each side of the driveway. (The white tree kept falling last year and I ran over some of the lights trying to back out of the driveway. )

LETS GO BEARS!!!!


We will be watching the game from the comfort of our warm house today. We could not be bothered to go and sit in this freezing cold and snow to watch the game....eventhough the BEARS are going to win. We sold our tickets to a kid who has never been to a BEARS game, ever.....YEH, Good luck with that!!!!!

Thank you!! I'm very lucky...Junior really likes to decorate for Christmas. He HATES getting up on the roof though (especially with the peaks we have!), but he does an EXCELLENT job. We get lots of compliments on our decorations! Our house is a little smaller than what I really wanted, but I LOVE the design of it, so I'll sacrifice the square footage.

Question...I have no idea how season tickets work...I've never had them. But do you also get tickets for the away games?

debbie where did you get the mickey form on the left of photo. Looks like a garden topiary?

We got that about 4 years ago from the Disney Store online. It's not a real topiary...it's fake and the fake greenery is starting to come off! Mickey is looking a little aged out there.

As if I am not already obsessed enough with all things Disney... Now that I have seen this, I must re-organize my decorations and create some new Disnified stuff to put out there. All of this at less than two weeks until the big day and as the lovely cold and ichy weather is upon me.

Ian, looks great, and I too want to see the wreath lit up in the dark. I can see where the lights are and it should look great.

By the way, snow and cold is coming your way, compliments of the Midwest!
We are supposed to have Lake Effect Snow in Indy That's one strong north wind. Nothing like Caitlyn and probably Debbie will have a few miles off the lakeshore.

Debbie, very cool nighttime shots! I don't know about Junior, but I'm getting too old (read too conservative) to take that kind of risk on the roof. Please make sure he's safe up there!

Lara's flights are getting cancelled left and right, due to the snow. Trip has been pushed back 24 hours right now, and she's heading to Dallas rather than Chicago now, so she just needs to get out of Indy. But as you know Indy could be perfect and the plane coming in can be socked in somewhere.
