Michael! (erionm)
(Sorry, would have posted earlier today, but I've been on the go since 8:30 this morning!!!)

Hi Dan we plan on going to D2D Sunday around noon. This will be the first time we get an ornament :dance3: Anyone else?
It will be our first time getting an ornament too! We should be there around noon as well! Hope to meet you then! :goodvibes

Sadly we're not. :sad1:
Too bad. We will miss you!

We will be there. Taking my daughter, grandson and grandaughter. Probably do early with a Rainforest lunch:). I will be able to make the Merry Mixer since it will be held 12/10.
As I said, we should be there around noon. Maybe we can meet you then too! :grouphug:

Happy Birthday Michael and Happy Birthday Shawn. Hope you both had wonderful birthdays.

We will be at Doorway to Dreams closer to 11:00. I will be with my daughter late 20s, 3 y/o grandson, and 8 month old grandaughter. I will have a brown jacket. Hope to see some fellow cruisers.

2 weeks we will be on the airplane to WDW. Let the fun countdown begin.

Hello All! It has been a while since I have posted. I have been busy down here in MD. Plus, I travelled to NJ last weekend to visit my parents. Can I just say I cannot stand the Newark, Delaware toll. Traffic was backed up for miles. I am sure it is going to be worse this Thanksgiving weekend. DS & I had fun once we arrived. We went to Adventures Aquarium in Camden on Friday and then we went to the Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill on Thursday. It was great spending time with my folks. Plus, I got some work done while I was their. I am helping them plan their 50th wedding anniversary celebration scheduled for August 2011.

I hope everyone is doing well. I am so happy that the chatting has slowed down some what. I am still keeping track of who is earning the :bride: & pirate:. I see Junior has not been on in a while but Wally has a remarkable since of timing.

Also, welcome to all the new folks who found the thread! I sure wish I was going on the cruise with all of you. You are going to have a blast!

To the Parrotheads that responded to my inquiry about any one the cruise, how about getting together on one of the Castaway Cay days?
If there is any interest I will try to coordinate making it happen.pirate: argh.
Some of the folks from 2009 SSMC pre-arranged to meet at the DJ booth the second day on Castaway Cay to toast to a friend who could not make it and request a song (and I believe it was a Jimmy Buffett song). So, if you want to schedule something beforehand that would be a great idea. The time and date were included in the mini navigator that was handed out at the DIS meet onboard the ship.

Good Morning fellow cruisers!

It's going to be a very nice day here in Jersey - and it's Friday .

Hopefully it will be a quiet weekend - I have had enough excitement lately.

I heard from my son in Afghanistan this past week (my reason for not being very social this week or so). He has decided to extend his work there for another 6 months - so needless to say, I'm very conflicted with my feelings again. I'm very worried because things seem to be heating up over there - and besides that's what us mothers get to do - worry!!! But when he tells me that he wants to stay and finish the job he has started and train the new guys that will be coming in December, I'm so proud of him that I could bust! So my emotional roller coaster will now continue until sometime in June - oh my that sounds so very far away.

Please send a little pixiedust: our way! I really appreciate how supportive everyone has been.

Have a great weekend everyone! I have to work, but will try to pop in from time to time to say hi.
Sending pixiedust: and prayers your way. If you ever need to vent, we are here for you.

I love do scrapbooking, but like you i can't find the time to do it. When my son was 6 months old i started his scrapbook of his first year... Well lets just say he turn 2 in september and in his scrapbook i haven't even made it past the page with the pics from the hospital on them. lol i want to work on it but i just can't find the time.
I still have not finished DS's first year scrapbook and he is almost 4.

I am sure you will do fine, with both :thumbsup2 From what I remember of the last DISmeet on the cruise we all just met up at the promenade lounge at 3pm on embarkation day. Marsha made mini navigators with all of our names and stateroom numbers on them and also who was participating in FE if I remember. I can look for mine and scan and send if you want to give it a go.

I do a lot of driving both for work and when I was showing dogs. Books on CD make the time go by so fast!

12 bottles of rum on the wall...
Terrie, is correct. We prearranged the time and date for the DIS meet. The DIS meet can be anything you want. I handed out the prizes to the winners of the :bride: and pirate: game.

And, I also made a mini-navigator for everyone.

Anything anyone can provide will help me out. Thanks Terrie.
If you want me to email you last year's mini-navigator just PM me and let me know.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think last year on the member's cruise they were only offering a free cruise (not this SSMC). But I think the point value was still 250 for it, and maybe even guaranteed booking on this cruise, so no phone dialing all day. Does that sound right?
At the presentation on the 2010 SSMC, the Aulani incentives were:
Deeded to 2062
No closing cost
$114 per vacation points
Price increase wither Nov. 21 or Nov. 26 (Ican't read my own handwriting).
Annual dues: $4.31 per vacation point estimated for 2011.

With the purchase of 125 vacation points or more you received the limited addition artwork of Beauty & the Beast created by Rodell Gonzalez - Disney Fine Artist and a $10 per point discount which was approx. a $1250 credit.

With the purchase of 160 vacation points or more you were considered a founding member and your name would go on the Pohaku (limited to the first 800 people), a $12 per point disocunt, and a $1500 Visa pre-paid card.

With the purchase of 200 vacation points or more you received the LE artwork and founding member status plus a $2000 Visa pre-paid card.

With the purchase of 250 vacation points or more you received the LE artwork and founding member status plus a $14 per point discount, you were confirmed for the 2011 SSMC oceanview room for up to 4 people or a $2500 pre-paid Visa card.

With the purchase of 320 vacation points or more you received the LE artwork and founding member status plus a $16 per point discount and a confirmation for the 2011 SSMC verandah room or a $3000 pre-paid Visa card.

With the purchase of 500 vacation points or more you received the LE artwork and founding member status plus an $18 per point discount and a confirmation on the 2011 SSMC or $5000 pre-paid Visa card.

The giveaways at the presentation were a (1) one time allotment of 50 points, (2) a one time allottment of 100 points, and (3) a 1 week RCI i-bedroom stay.

I love reading trip reports sometimes. Some are excellent in the way they are written, while others lose my interest rather quickly. If you are one of those who likes to read them, don't you hate when they start out funny, insightful, and quite detailed and then they
Are you talking about me. Maybe not because my TR is never funny. I try to be detailed though. I feel so bad that I have not even finished my 2010 DVC vacation TR. I do plan on finishing it when I get some time.

Howdy everyone! Sorry Kelly, the thread was quiet and I was right next to my computer on the couch with the dogs, which is where I woke up at 5:00 this morning... :lmao:

How is everybody today? I was looking at some of the magnets that people have posted and now I am obsessed with learning how to create "stunning graphics" on my computer so I may try my hand at it. Wish me luck, I need to figure out if I have decent software on my computer to do that or not... Of course, I also need to search for the Walt Disney font (or whatever it is called) and graphics and other cool fonts and ... I think you get the idea. Obsessed is a good word for my current state of mind ;)

I should be on and off a bit today so I will probably just stay logged in and pop in and out. Right now though :surfweb: I need to refill the coffee mug.
An excellent and free website, if you have not found it already is dafont.com. For the Waltograph font it is http://www.dafont.com/walt-disney.font

I do not know who is coordinating, but if there is still room for the Palo Brunch my sister (tammymacb) and I would love to join. Just let me know who to contact. I will start reading back but I am not sure how long ago that info was. Thanks!!!:flower3:

I've been away- still getting caught up. Pm me with real names of those in your group and I'll get you on the list.

Thanks :)

The event was well attended at Doorway to Dreams. We arrived at 10:45 and there was a line. They had refreshments and an ornament. We saw a short movie clip. My grandson wanted the ornament so we went to the Disney store where he picked out a Buzz ball instead. We were glad we went early. We also made it to Rainforest before crowds became busy. Ended up buying the membership in case we go again while in Orlando. Stopped at Lush. Love that store. Had to share my bath bombs with my grandson. They do start early. All in all a fun day. Line for Santa was too long though.
