 I think the story goes like this:

They know of their first vacation to Disney World, but NOT about the cruise. Jennifer & Allen are going to suggest driving by Port Canaveral just to get a peek at the new ship. At some point after that, they will start to catch on.

The amazing part is how Jennifer has been posting here for almost a year without them catching on. And she must have a small suitcase worth of Fish Extenders which were made and packed without them knowing.

Hi all, we made it! Sitting at Radisson in Port Canaveral. We ditched the plan to stop in Georgia overnight when we blew a tire. Pulled off the road, unloaded the back to get to the jack and found NO lugwrench. The handfull of tools I packed were no help either. Called a few places at the next exit about sending a service truck out - no go.

So I decided to limp along in the grassy shoulder 1.5 miles, then tested out the rim on the paved shoulder of the off ramp. Luckily there was a ring of rubber folded outside half of the rim, so I was riding on rubber. Even though the T/A said they wouldn't work on it I limped it on to them, hoping to: Plan A) talk them into helping the poor family get back on the road or B) buy a lug wrench and change it myself.

Plan A worked! A worker had just gotten off work and volunteered to do the job, because T/A wasn't allowed to bill me for it. He put the spare back on the original rim and cut the tailpipe off before where it got bent while I pieced the side of the Navigator back together. This was at 11PM so no chance to get a new tire until morning. By 2 AM we were back on the road.

So off we went, at 69 MPH instead of 74MPH with fingers crossed. I checked the temperature of the spare every time we stopped, and it felt cooler than the originals did before we lost it. I think I am actually more worried about the other rear tire than the spare, at this point.

I just had a 2 hour nap after driving for nearly 20 hours and being up for almost 30. Well, Lara drove for a half hour after the tire incident, then was too tired. And she drove across the 528 from Orlando to the Port, when I slept.

Actually, driving all night worked out pretty well. Remember I had a carload of 3 women and two kids. It was soooo peaceful with just me and the dashboard until after sun up.

Gotta go find Fishlips, now for a Port Side DISmeet. Everyone else went to the pool, while I slept so I don't think any of them are coming. Lara is already in bed, and the others are not far behind. I think they'd rather sleep than eat tonight.

Nice metting everyone today see you all tomorrow!

Thank You Vicki for arranging our Offsite DISmeet!!! We just finished a wonderful meal at Fishlips. I think 15 of us were there ... Kind of a Northeast/Midwest gathering. I immediately recognized Vicki (who greeted me first) & Chuck, Kelly & Jim, and Sue and her BFF Gail, none of whom I had ever met before, but saw their photos. Introductions to the others kicked off the meet.

I had a wonderful discussion with Sue's DS Dustin (15) about his recent High Adventure trip canoeing in Minnesota and an upcoming trip to the International Jamboree in England, with the Boy Scouts. Recall that I am an Eagle Scout myself, so we got along well.

In fact, when you meet him I think you will find him to be a pleasant, well spoken and honest young man. These days you see so many youth who have gone the wrong direction and figure they will never amount to anything, it is quite pleasurable to meet one who has such great potential. Hope he has a blast in the Teen Club, Vibe!

Spot On Spot On Spot On!!!!! :rotfl: I'll catch them on video :goodvibes
We arrived in Orlando so early that they fell asleep on the way to Cocoa Beach. Just to be safe, I took a detour away from Port Canaveral JIC they got a glipse of the Disney Port exit. :rolleyes1
I think my kids have an idea, but not to what capacity. The funny thing is that they were hauling around the FE's without them knowing it. All 120 FE's. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
What I know for sure is that they don't know they will be dressing up as wenches on Monday for Pirate Night. :lmao:

Are you guys back on terra firma already? Hope your cruise was AWESOME!!! Any word on next year's member cruise? We found out while you were at sea that it will sail on October 21st, 2012 but was wondering if they mentioned a date for booking?

Thanks!
