I'm really mostly in favor of it, just wanted to see if there were any strong arguments against. I found a website (Parenting ...something) which seemed fairly unbiased. If it was a current article (couldn't tell) about 65% of Americans babies are getting circumcised. There were a few diseases which are reduced risk with circumcision and maybe one which increased. Plus like Karen's dad probably found, there is more tramma to have it done later in life. On top of what y'all think, it sounds like the thing to do.

Thanks all - she had another really bad episode today after Tim came home. Took her to the vet and her lungs were filled. Doc said she could give her something for that but with all her other health problems. We couldn't let her go on. She playing with Disney and Pooh now (and my boss' dog that she had to put down on Friday).

So sorry to hear about your loss Terri.

I am sure Disney and Pooh are keeping her company, and talking aobut Junior's thong...

They're in cahoots to everntually get a hold of the green thingy and use it as a tug of war play toy...

Being in the field of baby catchers, there are risks and benefits to both.

If you know how to "teach" your son regarding the hygiene of an uncircumcised one, then that's a benefit to him.

However...

It's the hygiene aspect of it, and other things, like, taking care of the foreskin, how much of it to "roll-back", keeping it clean...clean...clean...

You don't have to do that with a circumsied one.
Just make sure you notify the baby's pediatrician about what your concerns and wishes are.
