Thanks everyone for welcoming me back! I just looked under insuremytrip for the insurance and there are so many different companies. Can anyone suggest one they liked? This being my first time I am completely lost.

I went with Access America. Travel Guard is also good. I don't know much about the other companies.

Karen will the ins. cover a disruption from a hurricane? What exactly will it cover if the trip is canceled? I mean hotels and such?

This is from the FAQ of Access America: Trip cancellation coverage refunds prepaid, nonrefundable payments if you have to cancel your trip for one of the reasons covered by your policy. Covered reasons include the following: sudden medical emergencies, financial default of a covered airline, cruise line or tour operator, bad weather, terrorist incidents, and jury duty. Changing your mind about taking a trip or having certain business obligations are not covered. If you cancel your trip for a covered reason, you must notify your travel supplier(s) within 72 hours of the occurrence, otherwise the right to compensation will lapse.

My Access America policy reads:
Canceled services
Your airline, cruise line, or tour operator or travel supplier stops offering
all services for at least 24 consecutive hours where you’re departing,
arriving or making a connection because of:
· a natural disaster
· severe weather
· a strike
· a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mandate
Specific requirements (all must apply)
· Your travel supplier doesn’t offer you a substitute itinerary.
· The striking workers aren’t employed by the supplier you purchased
your plan or travel services from, or an affiliate of that supplier.

How does travel insurance work with points. Our cruise and stays are on points. I know WDW should be fine. The cruise might be all that is in jeopardy. Any enlightenment is welcome:confused3

I know DVC offers insurance that deals with points. I'm really not sure how third party insurance would handle points. You could give them a call and ask about that though. Someone there should be able to give you an idea of if they would cover points or not.

We picked up Jason's suit today for our dinner at Remy. I still need to find a dress. I have a shirt and blouse as a back up though. But, I'd prefer a nice dress.

We also got him dress slacks, a new shirt, belt, socks and a bathing suit.
