I am writing this from Olive's Restaurant in Nassau, on the Dream doing a back to back (this is the 2nd one.)

I was told by several staff at guest services that the damage is heavy and bulldozers are being sent in. A full team is en route today. They told me CC would be out of commission for at least a few cruises. Reported roofs blown off and water in Cookies II.

Our Sous Chef Francisco, these are his "personal tools of the trade". He oversees all the dishes before they are taken out to the customers. We got to interact with him. It was so nice.

Yes!!! That would be fun! The Master Chef chooses the menu based on what's in season, and what is availble locally. The ice cream was made onsite too.

I know being on the DREAM is a "dream come true" for most people. However, I feel so bad for my little student. She will not get to go to Castaway Cay. That is one of the best things about a Disney Cruise!! I just keep thinking of her and am hoping she is not sick from all the rocking.

Something funny though...yesterday during class, I pulled up the Fishlips webcam and put it on the overhead to show my class as the DREAM and SENSATION were pulling away from port. The camera zooms in on the "sail away parties" and my students were right up on the screen watching....they were saying, "oh my...those people are waving at us" and "LOOK!!" I told my kids to wave back. The class was like...."can they see us??? Cool!"

It was hilarious!!

Hi Carole! Wow! Your DD's wedding is just DAYS after the cruise?! Boy you'll be busy when you get back! Good luck....I hope there are no "hiccups" in the wedding plans and everything goes smoothly!!

I HATE tornados, but I think I would hate hurricanes worse! I feel so bad for all the islanders in the Bahamas and everyone on the East Coast. This is one heck of a storm!!!! Of course it would be...my Grandma's name was Irene and she sure was a pistol sometimes!

The cruise was booked before the wedding was booked, LOL. It is cutting it close, but I think we will be ok. Just trying to get all the last minute things finalized now like the florist and the limo to the wedding. Actually, a rest right before the big event will probably be a good thing, lol!

I'll take the hurricanes over tornadoes (which we get too) and earthquakes. I can't deal with the no warning We are pretty much always prepared during hurricnae season so I like having several days to deicde if we're going to ride it out or get out of dodge

Thanks Terrie, and a great weekend to you as well! With two stops planned for Castaway Cay, I am sure they are probably working overtime to get it back in shape for the Member Cruise. I hope they succeed, but we'll make the best of it if not.
