TGIF. Happy Friday Everyone.
What's everyone's plan for this weekend?

Tonight I'm going to parent appreciation night at the kids' summer camp and then to the Gary Railcats game. We won't talk about what we are doing tomorrow (hint...we've been going back and forth with this difficult decision for months-it's time....just can't put it off any longer...it's just not fair to her). :sad1: Not sure what we are doing the rest of the day tomorrow....maybe the water park (if I feel up to it). We might set up the outside movie theater tomorrow night. And not sure about Sunday, either. I might go in to work at my dad's office to earn some Di$ney Dollars :thumbsup2

How about you? Any fun plans for the Wally/Terrie household?

P.S. I told junior tomorrow nights movie should be Marley and Me since we've never seen it and we will already be sad.:sad1:

I know I've mentioned it before but tomorrow is definitely the day we put our dog Pooh Bear down.:sad1: We've said we were gonna do it before but we talked ourselves out of it but not this time. Last night we had a talk. I was feeling Deb out to see if there was any wavering on the decision but there isn't. We both agree it's time. So in less than 24 hours we will no longer have our beloved Pooh, a member of the family for 17 years. I wish I didn't work tonight, I want to spend some more time with her but we made this decision after the schedule came out. I'm gonna try to get off early so I can have a couple extra hours with her tonight. Then when we get up in the morning, we will get ready and go to the Vet's office, we've been told to get there early. This is such a painful decision to make. I don't know how people do it but I'm just gonna have to take a deep breathe, gather up the strength and just go and do it. Most dogs this size don't seem to live this long. Deb says she lived this long bc she was loved very much! I think she's right.
Sorry to bring down the thread but I had to talk about it..

I feel so bad for you. Hopefully Junior gets off early and you all spend a lot of time with her tonight. Have you read the book Marley and Me? If you haven't then I'm not sure I'd watch the movie tomorrow cuz you'll probably be crying so much you won't see the movie. :grouphug:

Thanks Lynn!

Thanks Wally!

It's going to be devastating but It has to be done. That poor dog is blind and deaf and has a hard time walking. If she were human and in this condition she would be in hospice and getting pumped with meds to keep her comfortable. But there is no such thing as hospice for animals. Sometimes I feel like she wonders why we haven't put her out of her misery yet. :sad2:
