The best easy dessert ever. Melt a stick of butter in a Dutch oven or 9 X 9 pan. In a bowl mix 1 C flour, 1 C sugar, 2 tsp. Baking powder, 3/4 C milk. Dump batter into melted butter. Toss a can of tart cherries in water(do not drain) into the center of the batter. Do not stir. Cover cherries with 1/2 C sugar and bake at 325 for an hour.
Literally takes 3 minutes to toss it together.
