Congratulations Susan! That is absolutely fantastic! How did they get in touch with this girl in Texas, if you don't mind me asking. Just curious.

Thanks everyone for the congrats...we are so happy...they went to an agency..which is actually a lawyer and his wife...and what happens is that they mail out "books" to prospective moms...you send pictures of your familiy and write a biography of your family, the adoption agency makes up the books and sends them out. Then propsective moms choose a family...znd this one is in Texas,

Guess what....I am going to be a grandma again!!! A young woman from Texas chose my daughter and son in law to adopt her baby boy due in Jan.
I am so excited!!! What a blessing...I guess God just wanted her to have boys!! This will be their second adopted son. Poor Nicholas heard her on the phone talking to the adoption coordinator and when she was done he said, "Mom, why are you crying. Do you have to send me back to Russia?"
Dear sweet little boy. She was so upset and tried not to show it...how he got that information is beyond me. He was 13 months when he came to the USA and is now 5. Little pictures have big ears is what my mom used to say...he somehow got that idea that he had to go back...but NEVER EVER....

Goodness, that is wonderful news about the baby. (BTW, my little DGD loves looking at the pics of your DGC in your siggie.) Poor little Nicholas; I'm sure he got lots of hugs and reassurance after his statement. Can't imagine how scared he must have felt. You do wonder where they get their ideas from.

Hummm I just read the D23 expo review by Deb Wills and I can see how we as DVC members were shut out on our cruise...what a disappointment. I would much rather have been at that...but even there, it appears that Disney did not anticipate the interest and many were shut out of the venues.
I would love to meet Marty Sklar...I think he was on a previous cruise??
It irritates me in a way...my investment in Disney is much greater than the D23 investors and I sure would like to have seen a lot of what they saw. I know, I am whining again.

I'll whine w/you because I completely agree w/you. What in the world are they thinking?

Well, I am glad to see I have you all at least thinking about it.

Since there are already several different 2010 and 2011 cruises planned and booked within this group I figured no one has a 2012 booked yet. Let's start planning it.

Just imagine how organized we will all be if we start planning this far ahead.

Okay, gotta go.

Kyle has his game tonight. I am going to be very responsible and bring my quiz along and get it done at the game.

That will be one less thing to do this weekend.

You are never gonna believe this. We are under a freeze warning for tonight into tomorrow morning and then we could get 1-2 inches of SNOW! Not this early in the season. Nooooooooooooooooooo. I just can't belive it.

Oh Now that "S" word. After reading this I went and checked are weather we are under a freese warning to. Did not see any thing about snow.

Will Becca still have to marck in band if that happens.

Yes, unfortunately, she will. However I keep checking to see if it has been cancelled and as of yet, the competition has not been cancelled. Looking at radar, it looks like stuff is coming our way.

We got the frost last night. I let the dogs out early this morning and my young shepard took 10 steps in 2. He slid down. He was carefull from there on. My old one said no way am I going down.

Scared the pants off of me. I'll try to get photos up so you can see her. But she said that they scored a I rating. Which is a great score. They get rated on a I, II, or III rating with I the highest and III the lowest. Very happy for the band.

Good morning everyone! Greetings to my Deck 9 Sunrise buddies.

Finally got to catch up with my friend for lunch yesterday. She had called in early in the morning and had to cancel again because of a problem at home but called back later to say it was being take care of by her DH and was able to go. So we met for a nice lunch and then headed over to Panara Bread for some drinks (she had coffee I had hot chocolate) and continue our chatting.

Chris - love the pictures of you DD. I bet they looked great as they were marching.
