09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

Good Morning Everyone,

I am late getting on, that w word again. Glad everyone had a good weekend and I know we are all wishing we were back on the Wonder enjoying the newfound friendships!! Sue, I am glad you got the ticker working and the Hoagie sale went well, it is nice when a plan comes together.

Chris we have been back and forth on the weather as well, someday it will make up its mind, and soon enough it will be snow.

Have a good day everyone.

(Oh No the 99th post again, where is Sue?)

I'm right here, Flash!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Look, Flo! You're still the Pirate Queen!!! pirate:

Sue,

I did not even notice it.pirate:

Are you going to the Boardwalk for winter break? That would be so nice because I am sure the weather will be nicer there then in NJ at that time of year.

Hi Dave.

Hi Dave.

Yes, it was all because of a "mistake" I made when I booked our airfare for the MC. We booked on Southwest, and then two days later, the price for each seat went down by $30 !!! So I called and got the adjustment, but they wouldn't refund the money, they would just give us each the credit. But then it has to be used up within a year, and I had booked that airfare in April. So we decided no to let the credit go to waste (hahaha) and spend more (like normal!) and go down for a few days at MLK Day. Dustin will only miss 3 days of school that way.

Sue,

Can't say I don't balme you from not wanting to give up the credit. It will aslo be nice to get away at that time of year to warmer weather. Just think the holiday at the world. not bad.:thumbsup2

I am hoping that we can do December at the world in 2010.:)

Same old, same old here.

I know what you mean about the sirans. I go boy could you tell it is fall. How about the wind last night? My neighbor has a canapoy on her deck now it is on the ground. It is cold out side. It is only 55 here. Oh well what are you going to do.

Yes heated the pool yesterday for my last swim of the season. Seems like we just got back from the 90's and it is in the 50's

It's good to hear from everyone checking in. And thanks for all the pictures!

I spent the morning checking out the Alaska cruises, and sadly it seems like we won't be making any of them. Amazingly, one week in Alaska costs about the same as the WBTA! So, either we won't make it to Alaska or we'll have to find another way (gasp).

Flo, it would be great if you make it to WDW for Dec. 2010. We'll probably book for the week of 12/4 (we're going the week of 12/6 this year and by week I mean Sun-Fri. for the points cost).

Joanne,

We may be out there at the same time then. We would do from 12/10. I want to be out there for Steven's birthday. That is the 11th. I am thinking about Animal Kingdom. Were do you stay.

take care

Mark - we did the same thing. Went swimming one last time yesterday. Now our weather is to be crappy the rest of the week. With a chance of strong storms, hail and tornadoes, starting on Wednesday night through Friday. Ughhhh.

Good Morning Everyone!! :)

First of all, I was catching up on everything from the weekend and - wow - the photos are all fantastic!! I am so happy to be seeing them all because it feels like it is extending the trip for us! What a wonderful vacation it was and with such good friends that we have made!

Dianne, I totally understand about the finances, but hopefully things will look up. John was out of work for almost 18 months before he got the job he has now, and this will be just one year since he got that. So things piled up a good deal and we are still trying to get out from under that, but someday I will. Everyone will just have to wait their turn to get it, that's all!! But every day that I wake up smiling is another good day, no matter what! ;)

Well, I survived the hoagie sale!! we made all 650 hoagies, sold them all, and made a nice piece of change for the boys that volunteered to help and for the troop treasury! Now I can go get all of the advancements and merit badges that they earned while they were at summer camp, and present them at the fall Court of Honor in two weeks! Yea! It was a long day, but good folks made it good quickly - not to mention about 5 cups of coffee!

I was really loving the picture of the coffee club!! I need a copy of that one! :rotfl:

How was everyone else's weekend? Dustin lost his soccer game on Sunday, but it was a really good game and his team had no subs, so they were all very tired, and it was drizzling and humid. Today is supposed to be warm, but then a cold front is going to come through later with a thunderstorm, so they say, and then our temps will be around the mid to high 60's. I'll like that! It will feel like Iowa - right, Chris!

Funny to say this, but I really miss seeing you all in person and being able to actually talk, rather than type. But I guess it will have to do for now! :rotfl2:

Sue - glad the hoagie sale went well for everyone. Fundraisers are a lot of hard work but so worth it for the kids.

Yes, we miss the coffee club too. The only thing is now I can hear your voices while I read your posts, weird I know, but that is how I am. ;)

We are waiting for our youngest to call and say she is home from her Volleyball game. It was an away game today and we weren't able to get away from work. I hate that when that happens. But I have a tater tot casserole in the oven - with green beans just for Dave :lmao: - that we just love. Plus it is heating the house up. So, hopefully Brooke will call soon for us to come get her. Then I can hunker down under my blanket to watch all the Monday night comedies. Love Two and 1/2 Men and all.

Well, have a great evening! :flower3:

Sue, wow that is a lot of hoagies!

Well, on Friday evening, I found that my documents for my VGC add-on were in my door. Since I normally come in through the garage, I have no idea when they actually came. :confused3 But at least I found them and got them signed today. They will be in the mail tomorrow. Of course, I have no idea why I didn't think to look for them.

I always have more pictures of Palo's brunch than they allow in one post.....

Sitting down - initially, this table looked a little out of the way... turns out, we liked the location. Had it again for dinner - there aren't too many dedicated dueces....

Something expensive that I don't drink, but recognize from the cognac tasting....

:surfweb:Good Morning Everyone:surfweb:

Very nice pictures Ellen, thanks for sharing. Love to keep the memories going.

Well, we are booked for our Alaska Cruise, but we ended up on the 7/19 cruise. My DW looked at a calendar and realized she couldn't get done what she needed to in time for the 7/12. Lots to plan for now.

Have a good day all.

Good Morning.

Great photos Ellen. Brings back the morning. Although I will have to say that we enjoyed our dinner there much more than the brunch. We just weren't that impressed with it.
