09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

Mary, you do find the cutiest things to post.

Wish you all could meet in Chicago. I do think about all of you often.
That was most likley the best trip, I have been on. It was so nice to have spent it with all of you.

Places are nice but they could never replace all of you.

Have a great day, and stay safe and warm.

Any body see the Olympics last night, speed skating and ladies ski was good last night, looking forward to move speed skating and snow boarding tomorrow, watching mens luge now.

How exciting:woohoo::woohoo:Go USA

Hi Dianne!

Sure did. We are big olympic fans. The ladies ski was great last night. I did feel bad for Canada but glad we won. We are watching the Ladies hockey right now.

Did you get your hotel yet? or just the Amtrack? Danny said that he thinks there are car rental right in the station. SO maybe if you look it up it will tell you not sure.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Haven't seen any of the olympics except for the opening ceremony yet. It is speed weeks and we've been watching racing (and gymnastics live yesterday afternoon). The Daytona 500 has been going on for what seems like 500 hours! :lmao:

She did very well, despite the fact that she has a cold. She got a "I" on her vocal solo, a "I-" on trombone solo, a "II" on trombone duet and "I+" on all her group vocals. So overall a very good day for her. Thanks for asking!

Have not been much os a reace fan, Dad used to take me to the track when I was little, I got very bored.

Would love to seen the gymnastics:banana:

Chris,

I missed this! Congrats to DD.

Chris,

I missed this! Congrats to DD.

Thanks Guys! She was very happy with her ratings. :thumbsup2

But now she has a terrible head cold. Stuffy nose and coughing. Poor thing. Not sure if she is even gonna go to school today because of it. They are on a 2-hour delay this morning because, of what else, the WEATHER! Stupid snow, and wind, and drifting. This has been the worst winter ever. :headache:

Tell her we said - YIPPEE! :yay:

Now tell her I'm so sorry that she feels so terrible. I know, this cold just keeps going and going! If I cough or blow my nose again, I'd like to scream but then I'd be doing that all day too - it just won't stop!!

We still have so much snow on the ground that I'm amazed - hasn't been like this for years and years! Supposed to get some snow then rain then snow tonight, but not much accumulation this time - thank goodness! I'm a fan of snow, but let's not get carried away! :sad2:

DS home for Prez Day. I let him sleep in but now it's time to practice his music and do something else - I think he wanted to invite a friend over and that's fine. I have to do a little work on the computer. Then, since the school is closed and that's where we usually have our scout meetings, they will be meeting over at our kinda local indoor climbing gym to do a little of that - which they always have alot of fun doing! :woohoo:

Good Morning Everyone!!

Reeeeaallly quiet here yesterday and this morning! Hope everyone is well.

Chris, how is DD feeling?

Dianne, glad you are finally getting better.

Joanne, did you get more snow yesterday? It looked that way on the weather map. We really only got some sleet and mostly rain. :worship:

Just about done with Webelos now, Lisa? Scouts is a whole new world!

Dave - did you get that snow I promised to share? If not, it should be there sometime today! ;)

Hi Flo and Mary!!

Miss all of our other friends - has anyone heard from Monika or Susan?

Morning, first time I am heading out of the house since Thursday. But, I don't want to go:scared1:

It's cold out there. And I know no one has done my work, while I was gone.

Most of them don't know what I do, the one that knows most of it dosen't care. She is just counting the days until she quits, You know the kind, gets a quicke divorce, falls for old her high school boyfriend all over again, he is not divorced yet, but she thinks in about 15 weeks, she is quiting and going to mary him, and move away. Sounds like a soap opera to me, what do you all think? Any way she could care less about the job!

Oh well, enough said, I hope she gets what she wants.

So I need a tall drink and a little castaway Cay.

Brooke is feeling a little better she said. Hopefully by tonight she will be feeling lots better.

Boy does this sound familiar! :rotfl2: Only, not at work but with a family member!

Wow, sounds like you guys could do with a lot less drama!! See, this is why I sit and watch some of that nonsense on the TV - so that I don't have to deal with it in real life!! :happytv: Did enough of that during and after my first marriage, thank you very much. So now I just watch it on TV and laugh - and then I get to turn it off and it no longer matters!! Wish I could have done that before with real life - oh well! ;)

Glad Brooke is feeling better!

Sorry you have to go back to work, Dianne. I know what it's like when you have some one there who doesn't care about what they are doing - way back when I used to work full time. I miss being with other professionals sometimes, but I have always loved being home for my kids too. Now add mom to the lix and it gets kinda crazy.

I'm going to try to start my diet today! I really feel out of control with my weight. Still have to go get my blood work done, but I need to stop eating "comfort" food. So I'm going to try to get back to fruits and veggies! Wish me luck - oh and feel free to add in any badgering you all might like or feel the need to do - I need it all!!! :rotfl2:

Sue, good luck on the diet. :goodvibes I know I need to go on one. But right now, with the way my life is, it is very, very hard. And I read/heard that when you are in a comfortable/compatible relationship that weight does come on. I guess that is where we are now. Both of us. And I don't really have time for myself. I know, no excuses, but if I do take time then I feel guilty about my family and I'm miserable. So right now, it is like, why bother. I do feel horrible because I weigh as much now as when I was eight months pregnant with my youngest daughter! (I never went full term with either pregnancy so that is why I say eight months.)

So, as long as Bobby likes big butts and he can not lie, that is the way it is going to be for a while around here. :lmao:

But I repeat, good luck to you and if you find a good secret, please share. :worship:

I wonder how Dave's is going? :rolleyes1

Hi everyone! I hope that everyone had a great weekend. I had a lot of fun in DC this weekend. Yes there was a lot of snow and at times there were walking paths that weren't clear. But I got a lot done, visited all of the major monuments, including the FDR & WWII which weren't built when I last visited DC.

I thought that the white house visitor center was very nice and really enjoyed Ford's Theater.

Good Morning coffee club, just sitting here for a few minutes, getting DGD ready for school, she got me up twice last night with cramps in her leg.

But she is now as happy as can be, I need coffee to keep me awake:laughing:

I started Weight Watchers again. Need to kick it in gear with that and with the Wii Fit. The weight is creeping back on.

Hi Robbie - sounds like you had a great time despite the weather. Never been to DC but it is one of the places I'd like to see.
