Well the celebration will have to wait on the chemo. My platelets were too low to get it so I'm scheduled for next week. If by chance the numbers still aren't good he's fine with delaying the last treatment until after we get back.

Happy Monday!! It's been an eventful day so far-

My washing machine has died- :laundy:well, spun out of control is more like it... must have been all of that laudnry that I have been doing so we can get packed! :rolleyes1

AND.... The most exciting thing- I got my documents!!!

WOO HOO!! It almost makes me feel no aggravation over the washer!!

Well, that's a bummer. Will keep you in our thoughts this week and sending pixie dust that next week you will be good to go. It would be nice for you to have it all done before the cruise so you can relax!

So- I can get my boys to wear polos and dress pants for dinner, but my husband?
I have a few summer dresses for my daughter- even though they are sleeveless, I'm sure they will be fine.
Question- what about a sleeveless dress for me at Palo's?

Almost anything you wear will be fine.
  • You have the first night:Castaway Party: Cruise Casual: Polo and Khaki's
  • You have your Palo night: jacket for men, your sleeveless dress fine for you, although I will warn you about the A/C it can be cold.
  • Your have your 3rd night: I think they would call it "formal" night or "Captain's Night" A suit would be acceptable, but so would a dress shirt and long pants.....maybe not a polo shirt, but any button up shirt, like a casual Florida-floral style or solid color shirt, tie or no tie!
  • Your last night is absolutley Cruise Casual.....again, a polo shirt, because this is the night you have to have your luggage packed and sitting outside your room by 11.
  • Plus, don't forget, one of these nights will be pirate:Pirate night and ANYTHING goes that night, believe me!
So, there you go! No problems! Your husband can bring one pair of long pants to wear each night for dinner with a different shirt. Your little boys will befine with shorts and nice shirts everynight. princess:Little girls can be Princesses every day!

1ST CALL FOR THE MINI NAVIGATOR!

Okay all.......

as many of you know I do a Mini Navigator for the Member Cruise each year. It will include the disboard name, first names (no ages), stateroom numbers, and fish extender information for each family on the cruise. I use Mary and Mark's official list and the information Flo has already sent me for the Fish Extender exchange.

In addition, there will be dates, times and places for any official (or unofficial) gatherings of our group. These include the pre-cruise get together, the info on the buttons that Mark and Mary so generously provide our group, the sailaway party and pre-sailaway party and the group pirate pictures.

So, if anyone has anything they are planning that isn't on Mark and Mary's page, please PM me the info so I can add it in.

In addition, I am happy to add any celebrations during the cruise. PM me the person(s) name(s) and what they are celebrating and the date of the celebration so I can put it under the correct date.

Okay, I think that's it.

Oh.....DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3RD 5 P.M. MOUNTAIN TIME!

Each stateroom will receive one copy of the mini-navigator. You will receive it at one of the get togethers or if I haven't met you by the time we board it will show up in your fish mail before we sail at 5 p.m.

Any questions, ask away!

Thanks Linda! I just sent you the spreadsheet with the info off the web page. Linda and I must be on the same wavelength because as she was typing this I was pming her asking her how she wanted the info. :lmao:

The mini-navigator is a great tool to remember all that is going on with the group.

It looks and sounds like everyone had a good time "prepping" for our sail away!!

The ride was uneventful thank goodness, and yours?

About the same just long 18 hours in two days actually in a day and half so just a lot of corn fields out that way.

Sorry to hear that it wasn't great news today. But it's nice to know that your doctor is really trying to work with you around the cruise. You'd probably rather get it done and over but if not, it'll be a nice break for you and time to relax.

Hey, Mary, sorry you couldn't get your chemo...will be sending up prayers for you.

Got my FE gifts all together...I am going to ship them...having to pay $15 for a suitcase to fly drives me nuts..and I think it is $25 for the second one. Can't I just fly in the suitcase?

I made the sausage and peppers and onions for DH who was mowing the grass...it was SO delicious..and he didn't eat any of it...he was so hot that he said the smell nauseated him...MEN...I'd have eaten a bowl of cereal if I had known that....stuffed peppers tonight...I usually don't cook at all, but I am trying to save $ for our trip and not eat out so often. Gotta do what you gotta do, right?

Flo, I asked to be your friend on facebook...

I have been doing that farm thing on facebook and it is addictive...I was on the computer for most of the weekend planting big berries that need to be harvested in 2 hours...am I nuts or what? That was in between entertaining Makayla, taking her home, cooking dinner and doing laundry.

Susan

About the same just long 18 hours in two days actually in a day and half so just a lot of corn fields out that way.

It took 11 hours going out and only 10 coming back. The border to Canada was backed up a bit on the way out. Worse yet, when I got home I found out a cousin I hadn't seen in 18 years was in Boston so I drove in to see her for dinner. Another 100 miles roundtrip:confused3
