Here's a little that your DGD is OK. How old are they? (And btw, I don't do scary either; there's enough in the world to be scared of without adding to it. I never understood the appeal, but then I'll never be caught bungie jumping, either .)

Good morning everyone - happy Monday! Thanks for all the congrats yesterday. It sure was fun chatting during sailaway.

Wow! I can't keep up...only went away to have dinner, walk the dog,and check e-mail and such...another 3 or 4 pages added here!!

Tomorrow morning I will be reserving our hotels for the road trip, everything is getting organized !!
My youngest dd picked her dresses for dinner this afternoon too, she had to try them all on of course

And I still have my question about shorts and dinner. Is it strictly no shorts or more "dressy" type shorts (like nice bermuda shorts type) allowed for the men and boys?

As for the dressing question - this can get heated on the main board but I'll take a stab at it. I think shorts for young boys are fine but older boys and men would be better in dockers for dinner. Sure you will find some in shorts but I guess I'm old school where you dressed for dinner and I like the mid range of the dockers/polos. Hope this helps. The one exception is pirate night. We've done shorts on that night with pirate t-shirts.

Wow, I had 20 pages to read when I got home. I miss the sail away of the wonder again. Work just keeps getting in the way.

Questions: Where is a good place to buy water around the port?

There is a Publix not too far from the port. Honestly we've stopped carrying on water as we find the water on board just fine (and we are bottle water drinkers). We just take sports bottles and fill them up on deck 9 with ice and water. There is also a water package of Evian you can buy on board if you don't want to carry it on.

So- I can get my boys to wear polos and dress pants for dinner, but my husband? I don't know about that! I was just reading some of the dress code info on the cruise website, and I can tell you right now, if it's more than a polo and khakis expected, he will not do it. (He will for our Palo reservation) but every other night? Nope! He used to have to wear the suit and tie every day, but now that he doesn't wear it for work anymore- I think he's decided he shouldn't have to wear that again! Ha.

I have a few summer dresses for my daughter- even though they are sleeveless, I'm sure they will be fine.

Question- what about a sleeveless dress for me at Palo's?

Dockers and Polo shirts are fine. For Palo dinner yes you should dress up a little more. A sleeveless dress will work fine for Palo. I've done that.

I've been involved in a number of really long threads. Our 10 day cruise group had a huge thread but that was before they broke them up.

I want to say the 2006 Member Cruise thread went to 10 or 11 threads.

There is a current group sailing in October called the Bob Cruise and I think they are on #24 or more.

YUMMY!!! I just finished my super fabulous thin mint blizzard! Nice!

Well, my daughter is officially packed. But she is the only one. I wasn't able to get the boys stuff together today.

How many pairs of pants/long sleeved items are you bringing? I know it's usually still pretty warm in September....

the mint blizzard does sound yummy!

About the pants, I am still trying to figure out if that is all men/boys are allowed to wear at dinner...if that is the case, then 4 each..

For my DS I packed four pair of pants for dinner and 4 short sleeved polo shirts. For DH he has 2 pairs of khakis and four polo shirts. DH does not due suits either.

Is there a different dress code for Palo brunch than Palo dinner? We are only doing the Palo brunch.

I'm with you about the dress in the dining room. Sorry to all of you shorts people out there. I guess I'll join you with the old school thing. My guys, from little to big, have always wore slacks to dinner.
