And, hey, at least we don't have to drive. And we'll be in good company .

We have always taken the DCL bus until now. DH likes the video!!

I wish I waited to see how many additional people would have taken the bus. Oh well. Tomorrow I will be calling to make transportation for DH & I.

MY mom just called and my grandfather has a huge arota aneurysm. he will have surgery tomorrow. I still have to go but so much for my stress free vacation

I saw this being discussed in another thread. Did we have a fuel surcharge since we booked in Nov. 08? Was that not included since it was a member cruise? We booked it so long ago I don't recall. I would have to dig out the bill. Here is the link and the details. Just curious. Thanks.

CELEBRATION, Fla., (December 1, 2008) – Disney Cruise Line announced today that the company is eliminating fuel surcharges for all new bookings, effective today. The decision comes as a result of decreasing fuel price trends within the marketplace.

For cruises that have already been booked, the following guidelines have been established for the refund of fuel supplements paid:

If the closing price on the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange) of West Texas Intermediate fuel is below $70 a barrel two weeks prior to the beginning of the calendar quarter (dates specified below), the company will refund fuel surcharges paid in the form of an onboard credit.

The determination of which quarter a cruise is in will be based solely on the sailing date. The entire cruise will be considered to be part of the quarter that the sailing date originates in.

I can not believe I beat Flo on here this morning!

Okay, so I had a little help from Mittens - our now 5 1/2 week old kitten. Who when I am typing on my laptop keyboard loves to pounce on my hands.

He woke me up at 5:15 am. So much for getting a good night's sleep. Those days seem to be long gone. Yesterday I woke up at 3am and jut got up and started woriking. Oh well. Maybe it is all the excitement of the upcoming vacation.

Okay, so back to catching up on the pages and pages of posts.

I was cracking up reading the posts regarding the last & .

When I first figured out about the 'lurker'! The original lurker that is... you know who you are....I recall a while back reading through the posts and noticing who was logged on and who was not. (The little green indicator that tells if someone is logged on). Well, there was someone that was green but not posting any messages. Then all of a sudden there he was out of no where jumping in to steal the prize....oh wait maybe it was his wife...busted! I was on to him (them)! Then another time I was on and sure enough he (I mean they) did it again. That was it...he had to be outed. And, that is how he came to be known the LURKER.



It appears he now has some 'groupies'!! Beware everyone of the lurkers...they seem to be taking over this thread.

My mission this weekend is to get everything packed. Or at least start figuring out what I am bringing. I have most of the kids stuff packed. Just have to get it all organized between the bags.

Make sure that one of the FIRST things you do is get your child(ren)s wristband from the clubs....

I remember hearing the story of a smaller kid who got separated, but they were very easy to get back to mom and dad b/c they had their wristband already on.

Today DH is off since it is his flex day. He has some things to do to get ready for the cruise. As for me, I will be off to work in a little bit. I have a 9 a.m. meeting.

Lisa- I'm not sure who your referencing I can confess, my wife has never been on, I just let her get the 's I don't understand the green light, I put white tape over it and you can still see it???? I do prefer "Flash" over "lurker" though, it just sounds bad

How are you? How are your DD alergies with the kitten?

Yes, I slep later this morning. My DS went to the Chicago Bears Game yesterday when he got home we stayed up talking about it. I did not go to bed till almost 1:00. He is young so he is fine.

This time next week we will be closing up the suit cases and getting the last minute things donw before the limo gets here to take us to the airport.

This weekend??? Let's see...

As I mentioned earlier, figure out what I am bringing to wear. Hopefully will find time to hit a Labor Day sale and find a deal or two.

Get suitcases organized and try to figure out how to get all the FE stuff in the bags . I guess next time I have one of those moments when I see something and say....Oh, that would be cute for the FE gifts and then I make that impulse purchase....I better make sure I can fit 36 of them in my luggage. Plus the kids FE bags...plus the things DD picked out for you in Cape May. It's just not all going to fit. And, it would cost too much to mail. I better head back up into the attic to see what other suitcases I could use. I have one that would be just the right size but the wheel was busted off the first time we used it on Air Trans.

Maybe I could still use it just to get the FE stuff there. If I do the curbside checkin I will not have to deal with the broken wheel. Decisions, decisions.

I will also be cleaning the house and doing yard work. With all the rain we had last month and me spending most of my time working on class work the weeds have taken over all of my flower gardens.

And, I need to read the 3 chapters for my class that starts Wednesday.

Yes, that all seems like a lot but if I can get off this DIS board and get logged on to work and get my stuff done today then I hopefully will not be working at all next week. I am sure I will have to check in once or twice but hoping to take the next two weeks off. So, maybe, just maybe this will be my last day and my vacation actually starts tomorrow.

Good Friday Morning.

Wow, it is the Labor Day weekend already. Hard to believe summer is about over. Of course the weather we have been having seems like it should already be Fall!

No big plans this weekend. Still on a shoe hunt. Probably do that Saturday and then my Aunt is having a party Saturday night that we are thinking about going to. Then Sunday and Monday we just want to hang out at home, try to swim - if the weather is good and we can get the pool heated back up, and pack.

MARY - I was wondering, is there a centralized place where we can find all the TIPS you are posting?

I did not print them out or save them and rather than trying to back track and find them all I wanted to see if there was someplace I could find them all in one spot.

The one in particular that I know I want to find is the one regarding the labels. I just want to get those details again.

And, can you all believe that I have not been able to find magnetic sheets for the door magnets. I am going to do another round at various stores but about a month ago I went to Office Deport and Staples and neither of them had the magnet sheets. One was out and the other said they did not carry them. I even looked in my local WalMart and could not find them. I have gotten them in the past - a long time ago - but no luck recently.

That is another venture I am going to make this weekend. The hunt for magnet sheets. I guess I better start making another list.
