Wow, for as many times as we've been there, I've never used an outside grocer - actually didn't know I could. We either shop when we get there, or bring our own from home - even when we fly (that way I have extra room for goodies when we go home)! I love this place - I learn more and more! :)

One of the reasons we like using Brian (Garden Grocer) is that you can provide specific brand names or even fill in the box at the bottom if you would like to have beer or wine delivered too. I think they provide a 2-hr delivery window. They are really there to provide excellent customer service.

I just went on their website. They offer quite a variety of things and the prices looked pretty good. I was wondering about beer and wine, but I hadn't been too thorough with my peek. It is nice to know that others have successfully used this service and were satisfied.
Thanks, Annmarie.

I believe there is a section at the end to add comments and that is what we did. Someone over 21 must be there for the delivery. Just make sure you provide the correct size, brand, etc. If you plan to get beer, it must be in cans or plastic bottles because you can't have glass by the plans. Annmarie

Do they take it to your room or do you have to pick it up at bell services?

Good morning everyone - happy Sunday!

We had a really nice Saturday. We took the Amtrak train up north to Milwaukee and spent the day at German Fest. We've gone to Irish Fest for many many years on the SummerFest grounds but never did any of the others. Mark suggested trying German Fest this year (he's Polish/German). Since we only wanted to go up for the day and since the tri-state tollway which we would take is under construction we opted for the train. It worked out great. We drove to the Glenview station which is only about 10-15 minutes from our house. Caught the train up to Milwaukee and then walked to the Fest grounds (about a mile). It was a lot of fun seeing the fest grounds decorated for a different fest than we are used to and seeing all the food they have to offer.

About 3:30 we caught the bus back downtown and it let us off about 3 block from the station. We hung out there for a while and caught the 5:45 train back home. We were back in the house by 7 pm.

All in all a fun day. My ankle is feeling it a bit this morning from all the walking but not too bad.

Today is stay at home for laundry and all those other fun weekend chores.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Mary (and Mark)! There is an Irish Fest near us and for some reason have never attended. I will need to put in my calendar as a "must do" next summer. With me being the way I am there was no way we could've gone this year but it will be a lot of fun to go next year. Did you see alot of people in German attire?

By the way, I am gettiing excited for this cruise. I feel like a child on Christmas Eve - seeing a lot of presents under the tree and I can only open one gift! We used to let DS open one but now that I think about this, it is kind of cruel. Give them a little bit and make them wait til the morning after Santa drops off more gifts. :rotfl:

Good morning Mary and Mark
Though I would jump over and say Hi.
Well Nancy and I arrived back home Friday afternoon after our annual tow weeks at York Beach Maine. This was our 35 year of going.
Well Mary we called yesterday to make our final payment for our 7 day cruise in Oct. We thought about using half cash and points but went all cash so that means we will have almost 400 points to use next year.
Last night Joanne made all your resivations for us she could do it because we are linked. As of now we will be dining with Joanne and Roger and Leisha and Tom.
Now girl how have you been doing. I hope everything is going well?
We are sure going to miss you guys this year.
Nancy and Dan

Good Sunday Morning!

Oh, Mary, the seven weeks looks great. It really is approaching us fast. It sounds like you and Mark had a fun day yesterday. But, like you, today is a day of laundry and me and my mom may can some green beans. I have a ton from the garden.

Yesterday we went and did a little shopping. I got a new dress to wear to Palo. DH told me he was tired of the same one that I always wear and I should get a new one. So I did! ;) Now I need to try to find some shoes to go with it. Usually I like to wear black and this dress is navy blue. So, a little more shopping for me! :rotfl: And if I remember right, there is no formal night on this cruise, right? Everything is just cruise casual?

We also bought the Wii Fit yesterday. I'm a little sore this morning from trying it out. Hopefully it will help me a little bit before the cruise, since I like to eat, :lmao: I just have to keep with it. :)

Never turn down a chance to go shopping :lmao: even better to purchase new shoes. You will probably need to buy a few to make sure they are comfortable and of course match the dress. :cool1:

I like the sound of that! :rotfl2:
My biggest concern is that I have not been able to wear anything but sneakers on my feet. I am hoping I can find something else to wear between now and the cruise. I think I need to buy a new dress too.

Yes, you do need to buy a new dress. If for no other reason than just because! :rotfl: And I hope you are able to find some shoes to wear. I really hate to wear heels. I'm just not made to wear them. I like flatter shoes. I will look when I take the girls school shopping here in the next couple weeks and see what I can find.

I used to love to wear heels but since my surgery I can no longer wear them. I had a nice pair of flats but they aren't very comfortable and now is the best time to shop for summer stuff since all the stores are trying to put out their back to school attire.

Yes, there really are good sales going on now. Got the girls a few things yesterday.

Good morning everyone!

I have a question, is anyone bringing an extra bag for all the "gifts" that DVC gives on this cruise.

I remember the 2005 member cruise, I had so much extra stuff to bring home!

Ravonne

Chris - Congrats on the new dress and good luck finding a new pair of shoes.

Sorry to say I don't do dresses or heales. I could not tell you the last time I had a dress on.

Mary and Mark - Glad you had a good time.

Take care
