Do you remember clicking the button labeled 'Submit' when you had the page up that reviewed the days, showing the reservations? It's very much NOT obvious and if you didn't click that, it doesn't confirm the reservation and they go poof. :( They should have made it a much bigger button saying something like 'Click here to confirm your reservations' or something. I only caught it last night as it was showing them as 'unconfirmed'.

Oh no, I don't remember if I did that or not, but it's to late to retry. I guess we are going to have to try onboard. (My wife is going to kill me:scared:)

For Palo's brunch, what is typically offered on the menu? I have reservations for brunch at Palo for 10:30 on the day we are at sea.

Nobody really has a well written out menu, mostly because Palo doesn't have a written one either.

Palo Brunch is a chef creation thing.
It is in two stages, that you will be toured past before being seated.

First up is a number of buffet islands,
-one of seafood which has a very wide selection including shrimp, crab, etc. This is the *only* place on board you will find the extra large already cooked and peeled shrimp. Yes, I'm one of those people who is more fussy and don't enjoy the peeling part. :p
-one of breakfast items including the most incredible bread onboard, Stollen, which you need to make sure you put on some whipped cream and preserves.
-one of cheese and sliced meats.
-and one of decadent desserts. :)

Second stage,
You will also be toured past the plate items, that you order for arrival after you've finished from the buffet. There is a selection of both breakfast and dinner choices, and the pizzas(I think).

Now, one thing to be aware of with Palo and the pizzas. I know they get rave reviews, and they are excellent. But especially for the midwest and east coasters, you need to disconnect the word pizza as you know it. What they call pizza in Italy is a very distant cousin from what we're used to from the local restaurant or the freezer case.

Palo Brunch - yum!

OK, so in regards to not being able to access my cruise plans last night......

Around 1:00 am I sent an e-mail to DCL explaining my frustration, this morning I received an e-mail back stating that the reason I was not allowed access was because our reservation had shown that it was not paid in full yet. This upset me further because when we were on the cruise last year we added BLT points and received a free cruise, I then added our children using our DVC points. All of that was handled last fall.

I think that she noticed the error and fixed the problem because I was able to go into my cruise plans this morning and book some spa treatments but of course no Palo brunch. I did get a 9pm dinner on the last night, it's a little late, but if that's all I can get then I'll take it. I reallllllly want my chocolate souffle!

I guess we will be heading over to wavebands to see if they can help us.

Quick question: Anyone else add on points at BLT last cruise and get the Mickey statue? And has anyone gotten it yet?

They told us spring, but its now june and nothing.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about it. No, haven't gotten mine yet either.

Good Morning.

I just checked, like Susan, and there still seemed to be brunch availability for 10:30 on Tuesday.

Good luck to those still trying.

Very interesting because at about 6:20 this morning there wasn't any brunch availability on Tuesday.

Well, I didn't try to stay up last night. To be honest, midnight on a work night is just way too late for me. 11:00 is my limit. So I logged on at about 6:20 this morning.

I was able to book Palo for us for dinner (8 PM) on Tuesday. At that time, the 6:00 times were taken so I decided to go for a time that aligns with the late dining time in case there is a good show that night.

Also I was able to book at cabana massage for me on Monday afternoon.

Well congrats to everyone whom got what they wanted.

Sorry to those whom had all the problems.

We could not even attempt, since this our first Disney Cruise.

Hope you all, left some fun stuff for us to book.

Oh well, DH update,,he is doing very well. He should be able to give up the walker and move to a cane on Friday.

well now i am a bit sad. i was able to book my dinning for before the cruise on Sunday but couldn't make resies for the cruise since this will be our first. I have to wait until 75 days. Now my question, will there be anything left for us to book at 75 days? I know I want a couples massage on the boat and a relaxation thing for us on the cay and of course the snorkles and stuff. I wasn't so worried about Palo but it seems that it is a must so now i think i am upset that we might not get to experience in. Is there a dress up night on the ship? Hope everyone is well.

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Chances are there will be Palo dinner still available at the 75 day mark but not brunch. Remember that they hold a lot back for booking on boarding day. Plus honestly as much as I love Palo brunch I wouldn't call Palo a "must do". We didn't do Palo until our 4th cruise and I don't regret it for a minute. As a first time cruiser there is so much to experience on the cruise I wouldn't stress if you do miss Palo.

There really isn't a "dress up" night on the cruise unless DVC creates one. I think it was 2007 with the Legends that they had the "Legends Ball" and quite frankly I thought it was a bust (the only one of that cruise). Those who book Palo dinner usually dress up more than those eating in the dining room.

We go with Dockers/Polo shirts for Mark and nice slacks/tops for me. We have pirate t-shirts we wear on pirate night.

Hope this helps!

Well I had a set-back yesterday as it was supposed to be chemo day for me. Unfortunately my platelets were too low and I couldn't have it and had to reschedule for next Monday. Hopefully this will be the only set-back because I really want to be finished by cruise time.

From Doc on the DVC boards. As expected the boards are going dark later today in honor of Caskbill.

Caskbill (Bill Neth) has been a positive force on the DIS for years as part of the Technical Support Team and the DVC Boards. He has developed free software to aid DVC members with their planning and has also written programs to automate processes on the DVC Rent/Trade and Resort Reservtion Availability Boards here on the DIS.

As a memorial tribute to Caskbill, Pete is taking the DIS dark from 5 - 7 pm this afternoon.

He was a good friend to many and is greatly missed.

Please join the DIS in honoring his life.

Good Morning.

Sorry to hear the problems some had. That is too bad. I agree with Mary about Palo and not doing it your first cruise. We didn't do it until our last cruise, which was #4, but now that we have we wouldn't want to miss having dinner there. It was fun.

Have a great day! :flower3:
