09/12/10 - DVCers Take Over the Wonder (S.S. Member Cruise 2010) - Thread #2

Ok here is another question and i know i should get different answers to this one....

What does Disney consider "Cruise Casual" for dining....I know no swimsuits/shorts or tank tops but what does one wear ??? Are jeans/golfshirt/running shoes acceptable ???

One of my most favorite days!!!!

Cruise documents arrived on Saturday!!

i just love looking through them and it just makes everything seem more real! The day I get those doc's means "IT WON'T BE LONG NOW!!!!!"

Time to start working hard on those checklists, right???

Have a great week everyone!

TJ

I think the only way to find out is to call DVC MS or DCL (800) 951-3532 and ask them. I just pulled up my reservation on DCL website and didn't see my dining time listed anywhere, so I think the only way to find out is to call them and ask.

I checked with DVC MS today and we are down for the late seating....:thumbsup2

We are located in Burlington..... we are also flying out on 9/11.. and returning ont he 18th ... gives us a day to get back into the "norm" we are on Jetblue leaving at 8:40am how about yourselfs ????

THATS FUNNY WE WERE SUPPOSED TO FLY OUT JET BLUE SEPT 11th AT 1230pm BUT THEY CANCELLED THAT FLIGHT AND REBOOKED US TO FLY OUT SEPT 11 AT 840am DIRECT TO ORLANDO FLYING HOME SUN 19th 416pm.

I was finally able to find new suitcases. I got 2- 29" so we are SURE to have enough room ;). Then I have a 22" and 2- 19" so if we can't fit it all in there - I guess I will have to buy more:rotfl:!!! I usually take advantage of the spend so much get a Disney this or that - may NEED the luggage deal!!!!

How fun that your parents are so excited. Will this be there first cruise? I can't remember.
This is their first DCL cruise. They are excited about getting to spend it with their DGS and maybe are a little excited about spending time with me. :lmao:

We had to buy luggage on our honeymoon. It has lasted 8 years.

From the Cruise Info thread:
As part of the "Cruise Casual" policy, it is asked that you do not wear tank tops, swim wear or shorts to the dining rooms. Jeans are allowed.

They specifically mention jeans and since Marsha said I was OK to wear my crocs flip flops I assume running shoes would be acceptable as well.

Thank you very much now DW can stop freaking about what to wear.... all she could think of was skirts and heels...:lmao:.... I get away with jeans and golfshirts...

Tell DW no need for skirts and/or heels unless she wants to dress up for optional "dres-up" night.

I'm so happy, I got my docs on Saturday. It is so real now. I can't wait to hit the high seas.

The webmaster just closed our other thread so I am re-posting my last post here :woohoo:

I was checking D23 online and saw that they announced the dates for their Sip & Stroll event at Epcot. It will be October 15 and 16th. They also have the D23 Magic & Merriment event dates up which are December 11 and 12. They have not announced when the tickets for each will go on sale or how much they will be but I made ressies for both and am staying at SSR for both. I also got reservations for Jan 1st (my birthday) and 2nd also SSR. There were no studios available for NYE so I booked a value room at Sports since DH has not stayed there yet. I know I said no values ever again after last NYE but this time it's only one night and not 3 :rolleyes1 besides I am waitlisted just in case  Geez, I think we need more points :rotfl2:
