I think they have been doing the spiral bound thing all of 2010. I think I first got them on my cruise for the end of January this year. No, they are not special for the Member Cruisr but I hope they will have a lot of other "special" things for us. This is my first SSMC. What should I expect?

That is a good question ..... I would like to know what to expect also ???? If anyone has any insight from previous cruises that would be great

YOU NEED ROOM IN YOUR SUITCASE FOR THE SMALL GIFTS YOU GET. THEY USUALLY RELATE TO THE GUESTS AND THEME OF CRUISE. ONE YEAR WE GOT A BIG WALL THROW( not sure what they are called) HAD WALT AND MICKEY IN THE PATTERN. I CANT EXPLAIN WHAT THESE ARE CALLED. THEY CAN HANG ON WALLS OR THROWN OVER YOUR EASY CHAIR. WE GOT 2 OF EVERYTHING SINCE THERE IS 2 PEOPLE IN OUR CABIN. IM A PIN COLLECTER, LAST YEAR WE RECEIVED SPECIAL PINS FOR THE NEW VERSION OF SNOW WHITE. ONE YEAR WE ADDED 250 POINTS ON THE CRUISE AND RECEIVED FREE MEMBER CRUISE FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR ON DECK 6. PLUS A GLASS CARVING OF WALT AND MICKEY. YOU GET TO FIND OUT WHAT IS NEW WITH DVC . THEY HAVE THEATRE PRESENTATIONS. A COUPLE PEOPLE GET THERE NAME DRAWN FOR GIFTS SUCH AS 250 POINTS TO BE USED NEXT YEAR.
OBVIOUSLY THEY ARE GONG TO TRY TO ENTICE YOU TO BUY MORE POINTS. LAST 2 CRUISES I SAT WITH DUCKY WILLIAMS AND HAD A NICE CONVERSATION WITH HIM BY THE ADULT POOL. LAURA AND I HAD LUNCH ON THE ISLAND AT SERENITY BAY WITH VINCE PAPALI AND HIS WIFE. THE PERSON THE MOVIE INVINCABLE WAS MADE ABOUT. THAT WAS SOOOOO INTERESTING. WE TALKED LIKE 2 COUPLES ABOUT OUR KIDS ETC.

Ian -good news - I talked to MS today to book our transportation and asked the CM about our docs not being here yet. She said they are usually mailed out 2-3 weeks in advance when I said some people I had talked to said they had gotten theirs already she said not to worry they would be on their way!!!

So we decided to go with Disney Transportation to the port and to BLT and ME back to MCO. We had originally thought about renting a car but after researching because we have our OL we would need a larger vehicle and also DD3 still has to be in a car seat so another $12 for that we were up to $108 and schlepping our own stuff....at least this way most things will go to the ship without us worrying about them.

Only new dilemna is the LIQUOR!!!! I usually pack it in the checked bags -of course - but when we were renting a car I could take my Pucker out and carry it on the ship....now what....do I just not put DCL tags on the bag with the liquor...can I just leave it since it will be checked through airport security??? HELP!!!!

I ALSO HAVE A LIQUOR QUESTIONWE ARE FLYING IN TO ORLANDO. THEN TAKING ME TO OKW. WE CANT REMEMBER IF THERE IS A PLACE TO BUY LIQUOR AT THE AIRPORT IN THAT SHOPPING MALL AREA IN THE HOTEL AREA. OTHERWISE I WILL BE WALKING FROM OKW TO THE CROSSROADS TO GOODINGS OR SOME LIQUOR OUTLET TO GET MY SURVIVAL RUM

14 bottles of rum on the wall, 14 bottles of rum. Cinderella drank one got us closer to none...

im probably not answering your question, but we dont use our disney me tags . I always go get my own bags and take them to the bus. That way we have our bags sooner. We normally have our liquor in our baggage going down then that night move the liquor to our carry on for the ship. This time i will be buying it down there. Our liquor up here is more than twice the price.
