Debbie - sorry about the nosebleed section - I'm sure it was a great time anyway!!! I think that is what makes BonJovi so awesome - they sound as great today as they did 20+ yrs ago!!!!:goodvibes

I crashed last night, after grocery shopping I had a cooking extavaganza!!! So we are set with food here at least through the weekend!!!

Marsha - DH was so excited to hear about the breakfast buffets - he asked several times if there was BACON - I was :rotfl2:!!!!! I'm pretty sure his whole reason for cruising is the FOOD!!!!

We were at WDW for a long weekend a few years ago and I wanted SO BADLY to drive over to the port and go to Fishlips and watch the ship leaving the port. But DH wasn't up for that. :sad1: And this time we'll be there the day before departure early enough to have watched the Magic, but she'll be in the Mediterranean! Go figure! :upsidedow

HMMMMMMM, DEBBIE IF YOUR DINNING TABLE IS NEXT TO OURS I COULD PROBABLY (SNEAKILY) TAKE A COUPLE OF EATING SHOTS OF YOUR TABLE:scared1::rotfl2:

 You wouldn't!!!! :rotfl2:

Nikki - thanks! Even though we couldn't see them on the stage, they have the gigantic screens set up, too, so we were able to watch the screens. They DO sound as great today as they did 20+ yrs ago, BUT they can't hit the high notes anymore, so they sing in a lower key. Jon Bon Jovi had some voice problems at one time and had to go through voice training to be able to sing again. That was before "Keep The Faith" when they had split up for a while.

Tell your DH that the bacon is extremely yummy on the ship.

Debbie, Have you ever been to FISHLIPS. We havent and I have always wanted to go. When does the Magic have its Repositioning cruise back to Port Canaveral. Im assuming we are a couples weeks to early.

Ian - Great pictures.

Hi everyone! Yes, it's 2:15 am here and I JUST got home from the Bon Jovi concert. Can I just say that Jon Bon Jovi is awesome?! Kid Rock opened for them. He was pretty good, but it got kind of annoying that he would just break into instrumentals for a while and then cut right into a song. It was strange and didn't seem to make sense. We were in the nosebleed section of Soldier Field. I had my Canon Rebel Xsi with a 200mm zoom and I STILL couldn't get good shots of Jon and the band!! UGH! I give up! :sad2:

Well, I'm off to bed...either to dream about DCL or Jon Bon Jovi! :cloud9:
Glad you had a good time at the concert!

As you can tell from Ian's picture, there is bacon and it is quite yummy.

i just noticed another thread at 4500, actually its the magic repo cruise thread. The web master just closed it.

I'm visiting my DD,DGD,DSIL, in Georgia and it is going to break a heat record here at 100 plus. It's even too hot to go to the pool ! My DGD is starting preschool and my DD knows she's going to have a hard time with that-tears-so I came for support. Motherhood :lovestruc
I read we can bring our own liquor onboard-can the bottle be opened? or must it still be sealed? Thanks
Vicki
I am not sure if the bottle can be opened. I would say no.
From DCL website:
Alcohol is permitted on board. However, be aware that any fragile items (including bottled alcohol) must be hand-carried on board in a day bag and/or carry-on bag, the dimensions of which cannot exceed 22" wide, 14" high and 9" deep. Guests who request a Wine Steward to open and serve a bottle of champagne, wine or liquor that has been brought onboard will be charged a corking fee of $18.00 per bottle.

Ohhhh a food picture countdown - YUM!!!

DH thanks you both for the LOVELY photos of BACON - in Ian's photo of the buffet the bacon is on a yellow platter/dish - DH said does that come out of there because that can just be my plate of food!!!:rotfl2:

not sure but, maybe post 855 pictures of food today and we would be at 5000 posts? :rotfl:
Ok I will go first. I will post a picture of my favorite part of the meal - the dessert. This is from the first night of the '09 member cruise. We dined in Triton's.

I had the crème brulee.

OMG - Marsha, that Creme Brulee looks sooooooooo good right now!

Ian - no I haven't been to Fishlips. I'm not exactly sure when the Magic returns to Port Canaveral. I know it's at least October 18th by looking at the Cruise Meets Threads.

The platter is removable but if my DS is there the same time your DH is I think your DH will get a swift kick to the shin from DS for taking the bacon. He is a bacon & sausage eater. The boy loves breakfast food.
