dvc deernut a belated thanks for the group pictures you posted. It was rainy here today so i started going through the posts and surprise there's my dh & me in our bright yellow tee shirts on post #817!!!!

hiiiii!! I just read your post so i went back and looked at the post. Looks like your posing for me in my picture. Laura (dw) wasnt there for that, she was saving our spot over at serenity bay where we always go. It was very hot that day, if i remember right that might of been the day we had those narrow bands of rain cross the island. I was sitting on my lounge chair in the water drink in my hand and just watching the rain head right towards me and i didnt move, that rain felt soooooo refreshing.

From now when i see your posts i can put a face with the name. Your in our dvc cruise photo album!!!

Marsha as I wrote to deernut I was looking at the pictures he posted. In the group picture I am standing behind you in the brown skirt my DH is the one with the legs!! I was also reading the cabin assignments I didn't include that both my DH & I are celebrating our 60th birthdays on the cruise. My DD-DSIL-DGD are in cabin 8070 and my DM is in 8066. My DS & DDIL were supposed to join us too but they are expecting in October so we have to cancel their cabin, they will meet us at OKW after.

I JUST READ YOUR POST. ARE YOU CANCELLING ONE OF YOUR CABINS ON THE 8000 LEVEL? WE ARE ON WAIT LIST TO MOVE UP IF THERE IS A CANCELLATION. LET US KNOW WE WOULD LOVE TO MOVE UP FROM THE FIRST DECK, WE HAVE NEVER BEEN THAT LOW BEFORE AND GOT SPOILED WITH A BALCONY. WHEN I GOT THRU THIS YEAR IT WAS 3pm AND THEY ONLY HAD A COUPLE CABINS LEFT.

It's Tuesday! One day closer to Friday! lol

Marsha - I'm in for a longer day today...So I'll feel like you did yesterday. I'm working my regular 8 hour shift at my full time job, and then going to work in my dad's office tonight! UGH! But, it's extra $$$ for our vacation, so it's worth it!

Extra $$$ is always good, especially when it is for Disney. I hope you are not too tired when you get home.

Terrie - so glad to hear Mona is happy and secure and a little boy loves her!!!

Thank you for the birthday wishes from Audra!!! DH had to work Sunday so the girls and I went to church - Audra todl our priest bfore mass that it was her 6th bday so DURING mass he calls her up on the altar to congratulate hermy little ham was in her GLORY!!! and was the talk of her school the next day!!! After mass the girls and I played salon and did our finger and toenails and when DH got home from work we went to Chuck E Cheese!!! She had a great day!!

Yesterday was supposed to be a short work day for me - but I had to go in early to handle a crisis one of the therapists in my supervision created second write up for her in less than a month - I am SOOO ready to send her packing!!!

Today DH and I are both off and since the sun is shining we are going to plant some flowers and clean up the yard a little!!

PLUS we got our new planner yesterday so DH and I spent this morning planning our 10th anniversary trip in April 2011!!! Finishing all of our 2011 points and borrowing 2012 - DH is ready to strangle me!!!

We received our new planner too. I am already planning for our next trip in 2011. We still have soome points from 2011. It sounds like you may need to purchase some additional points while you are on the cruise; but, you did not hear that from me.

1-Yes it was verrrrry hot and that rain did blow in.
2- My good friend made us the shirts as a "sailing" present. She also made us the Lady and the Tramp doorknob hanger that happened to walk away.
3-Yes my DS son & his wife are expecting their first. They were to be in cabin 8072. My DM is in 8066. I was going to see if I could switch her to 8072 to be closer to the elevator [she is 84]. Then I would be cancelling 8066. Wonder if we can work something out for you?
4-What's a deernut? Does it have something to do with hockey?

DEERNUTS ARE THE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS I SELL AT SHOWS UP HERE IN CANADA. THEY GOLF, FISH ,HUNT ETC. THEY HANG ON TREE OR I MAKE THEM ON STANDS. IVE MADE ALMOST ANYTHING, THEY HAVE GONE ALL OVER THE WORLD. IT WAS AN IDEA I CAME UP WITH 15 YEARS AGO. I DID SHOWS AROUND ONTARIO EVERY WEEKEND FROM JULY UP TO CHRISTMAS AND WORKED DURING THE WEEK. NOW I JUST DO A FEW SHOWS IN THE FALL AND PEOPLE EMAIL ME TO ORDER. I ENJOY MAKING PEOPLE LAFF, THERE ARE MANY STORIES WITH THE DEERNUTS. IVE DRIVEN TO DISNEY ONCE WITH MY MINIVAN WITH THE DEERNUT SIGNAGE ON THE SIDE. THE LOOKS WE GOT GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND AT DISNEY.
ONE ORDER I DID WAS FOR THE PRESIDENT OF FOOTLOCKER I DID 200 WEARING STRIPPED TOPS AND THEIR LOGO AND RUNNING SHOES. THEY WENT TO NEW YORK. I DID ONE FOR A LADY WHO WANTED A NURSE. HER FATHER WAS GOING TO HAVE SURGERY AND MIGHT NOT SURVIVE. HE HATED NEEDLES , THE NURSE WAS HOLDING BIG NEEDLE. THEY HUNG IT ON THE IV POLE AND HE DEMANDED IT BE THERE WHEN HE CAME TO. SHE WALKED THE HALL SWINGING THE DEERNUT, HE SURVIVED AND IT WAS HANGING ON THE IV POLE WHEN HE WOKE UP. NOW HE USES IT AS A GOOD LUCK CHARM. STORIES LIKE THAT MAKE ME FEEL GOOD THAT I HAVE MADE SOMEONE SMILE. WELL I HOPE I DIDNT GO ON TOO LONG ABOUT DEERNUTS BUT THATS WHAT THEY ARE. IM GLAD YOU ASKED VICKI. IM THINKING ABOUT BRINGING ONE WITH ME ON THE CRUISE WITH A CRUISING THEME AND TAKE SHOTS OF HIM ON DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE SHIP

VICKI I MIGHT CALL DVC TOMORROW AND REMIND THEM ABOUT OUR REQUEST TO MOVE UP IT WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED IF SOMETHING COULD BE WORKED OUT.

deernut-They are great-for a minute there I thought you were a deer hunter!! Good to know Bambi is still safe. What if you say you are our good friends. I haven't called yet-maybe we should co-ordinate it. My DS & DDIL are a little older so I wanted to make sure everything was good with the pregnancy. Thank goodness it is.

can anyone tell me when the schedule for mnsshp will be out and if it is out what days is it just after our cruise. Last year we did it on the fri right after the cruise. We liked it so much we want to do it again.

LAST YEAR DW AND I WENT TRICK OR TREATING, WELL I WAS THE BIGGER KID AND HUNTED FOR THE SPOTS, WE HIT EVERY SPOT THANKS TO ME FUNNY THOU SHE HAD MORE CANDY. MORE CHOCOLATE. OUR BAGS WERE QUITE FULL SO ON THE WAY OUT WE FOUND THE 2 BARRELS INFRONT OF MAGIC KINGDOM ENTRANCE. THEY WERE FILLING YOUR BAGS UP AS YOU LEFT WE FLEW HOME WITH BAGS OF CANDY AND OUR SUITCASES STATEGICALLY ORGANIZED WITH 4 RUM BOTTLES AND ALL THE DVC CRUISE GIFTS WHICH WE GOT 2 OF EVERYTHING
IM WONDERING IF THE DATES YOU GAVE MARSHA WILL JUST BE 1 DAY OFF THIS YEARS. IT MIGHT STILL BE ON THE FRIDAY THE 17th

Looking at the September and October Park Hours it appears that Disney will offer Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party on the following dates as these are the days the Magic Kingdom is scheduled to close at 7 PM. MickeyUpdates.com is reporting that these are the potential dates:

September
3, 8, 14, 17, 21, 24, 28, 30

October
1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31

WHAT IS IT? Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party allows guests to trick-or-treat while immersed in the fantasy of the Magic Kingdom. The evening includes Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade; trick-or-treating throughout the Magic Kingdom at numerous locations; and the special Happy HalloWishes fireworks. Lots of characters are out in the park, wearing their favorite costumes -- you're encouraged to wear yours too. The party runs from 7 p.m. to midnight; Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade is at 8:15 and 10:30 p.m. with the Happy HalloWishes fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

I cannot remember when I purchased my tickets for the 2009 event. Like I said it is a great event. There were hardly any lines for the rides. DS & I rode the Dumbo ride twice without having to get back in line. Goofy's Barnstormer was a walk on. And, the lines to see Mickey and Minnie were very tolerable. And, the candy is endless. We were each given a bag but did not fill all three of them up which we could have easily done.

The bags are a good size.

And, the candy varied.
