Good Morning All! TGIF! I hope everyone has a good weekend and a Happy Valentine's Day.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes for Anthony and I. Sorry, have not been writing lately. Its been really crazy. Well, to start off when I booked this cruise I was going crazy waiting to see just how exciting a Disney cruise could be. I couldn't wait until September. So, a friend of mine and I took our oldest kids on a 3 night in December. Found a great price(379.00) for cat 12. Left husbands and younger kids home (nice mother/son) time. We had a GREAT time except for not being able to dock at CC. So, here is the problem I am ADDICTED! We are going to Disney for a few nights in March and I want to add a cruise on to the beginning of the trip. The problem is its so much more then what I paid in December. For 3 of us it would be 2400.00 cat 12 no insurance or transfers. Please be honest am I crazy???? :scared1:

Like you & Chris, Hello I am a Disney Addict so I do not think you are crazy. I love, love, love the Disney cruise. There is always so mouch to do or you can choose to do nothing.

Hi all - well our leaky window seems to be nothing compared to what some of you are experiencing!! We are doing fine and my contraption is catching the water.

It snowed here about another inch lasat ngiht and of course they are talking about how difficult it will be to resume school next week because the roads are still in horrible condition!! I love my kids but seriously PLEASE have school soon!!!:lmao:

I told DH I was getting out today no matter what he is on afternoon shift so I am showering and LEAVING!!!! Then he tells me we are to get more Sun or Mon!:scared1::scared1: NOOOOO!!!!!

OK I feel better!! Stay safe!!

Tweet - I fear once we have our first cruise we will be addicts also - It only took 1 trip to WDW!!!!!

I hope you don't get anymore snow. I hope we do not get anymore snow. I am glad that your window is not getting worse.

He is feeling better thanks! Things are getting back as close to normal as they can be. They have shut down the main drag through our small town and have brought in dump trucks and front end loaders. They are cleaning sidewalks and roads in the city. I can't say the same for the county roads. My mom and brother have yet to see a plow. They have cleared us to be on the roads so I am getting out of the house today. Most snow here in maryland in 100 years they were saying. I don't mind the snow but to get dumped all at once has everyone scrambling. I loved the snow when I was in Iowa, of course those that live in the midwest know how to handle and drive in it. Here on the east coast they don't handle it very well. I see the sun I see the sun wooo hoooo. gonna save a few personal days just in case we have to stay in school unitl the 30th because I will either be sick or use personal days to get to WDW on the 29th. I am sure there is another storm coming as it is only Feb. so I am concerned.

Have a very happy valentines day everyone!

Glad your DS is doing better. I agree with you, I like snow but getting it dumped on you all at once is not fun. I watched the nes last night and saw that they were still rescuing people from their cars and freeing cars and trucks from the highway in Frederick. Stay safe and warm.

I am a Disney addict, so I do not think you are crazy. Our 1st Disney cruise was just the girls. I, my mom, and my daughter (celebrate her 5th B-day). Don’t remember what category, but we were on deck 7. We went in August and the cost was $2500 for 3, people considered that to be expensive for a cruise in 2007. But when you are a Disney addict, you will make it happen.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.

Page two again today!!!!

I suppose everybody is probably still working on snow removal. Hopefully it's done snowing everywhere!!

I've been thinking of going back to school to get my degree in elementary education. My only problem is DH works two jobs, so actually attending classes is a big problem because it would cut into his work schedule which would not be an option right now with our finances! So, I found an online program through Ashford University. Has anyone heard anything about their online degrees? I'm a little scared, but I already signed up. I'd only be out $55 if I choose not to go.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am thankful it is not snowing. We were abole to go out today and do a little clothes shopping for DH & DS. We tried to go out to eat but the wait was too longs so we just came home. Overall, it was a good outing and it definitely beat shoveling.

That is great that you want to get your degree. I haven't heard of Ashford ?Univeersity but as long as it is accredited you should be fine.

Good Morning all!!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!:love::love::love::love:

We were up at 5:30am!! DD2 is finally potty trained!!! However this means when she has to go she comes to get me - oh well we are done with diapers:cool1::cool1: and in time for our upcoming trip!!!! Now we have to try to get rid of her pacifier......we are attempting to tell her on her 3rd bday the pacifier fairy will leave her a present if she leaves it on the table. She is NOT having that right now.

We continue to get a little snow - 1/2 to 1 inch nightly and are scheduled for snow through the next four days:scared1::scared1:!!! If there is no school next week I am going to loose my mind - if I had one!!!!

Marsha - I'm glad you were able to get out - it is such a great feeling - I went out yesterday too and everywhere we went it was PACKED!!!

GOOD MORNING LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,
BOYS AND GIRLS!
WE SET SAIL IN 30 WEEKS! THAT IS 209 DAYS!
:banana::banana::banana:

Happy Valentine's  Day everybody!!!

I hope the snow lets up soon for all of those stuck inside :wizard: Congratulations Nikki on potty training success! Debbie, I think that is awesome that you are going back to school...way cool :cool1:

Joining the support group here, "Hello, my name is Terrie and I am a Disney addict." :thumbsup2 While I am excited about this cruise :sail: I am terrified of becoming addicted to DCL  As it is, there is always a reason we simply HAVE to go to back to WDW :rolleyes1 We go annually for MNSSHP and F&W :drinking1 Then, we discovered F&G :flower1: and of course MVMCP :santa: Now there are the D23 events. We managed to get tickets for the First D23 Anniversary party at WDW which sold out in minutes. Now, I find they are bringing back the Main Street Electrical Parade at MK and the Magic Music and Mayhem fireworks show from the Pirate & Pricess Parties a few years ago (renamed I think though) in the summer for a limited engagement :woohoo: Now, keep in mind, I used to be able to count on one thing which was NOT going to WDW in the summer :sunny: I hope the "limited engagement" lasts until mid September so we can catch it during the land portion of our DCL vacation. If not, what choice to I have :confused3 except to plan another trip during...gasp...summer :scared1:

Terrie

Terrie - that is quite a dilemma :lmao:. So many things to do, so little time. But we are the same way, only we live so far away and have to fly whenever we go.

I am certain the snow is a direct result of the Gods punishing me for not going to WDW over the holidays like we usually do. LOL

I am going to buy a web cam and have class from my house if we don't get back in school this week. The roads are still bad with several lanes all of sudden just disappearing into one. They are talking about 6 more inches here tomorrow night AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

My 2 DS are at eachothers throats and tensions are high. We are celebrating my youngest sons birthday today and so we are going to add to the madness grandparents and cousins plus add that there is no FOOTBALL, Yikes :scared1:

Calypso I hear ya on the summer WDW but that is the only time we get to go for an extended time. I am not complaining because I get my summers off but man is it hot. The nice thing about being DVC members is that we go every year so we are not pressed for waiting in line we just come back or do something else. I used to get irritated when someone butted in line and then they did not understand when I said the line was back there, i just go with the flow. The brazillian groups used to drive me crazy but now they are fun to watch especially when you are in a line they provide the entertainment.

Have a great Valentines Day everyone!

Scott

It is such a great feeling to get out of the house. So far, today, we have been to church and out to eat. At 4 p.m., I have an eye doctor's appointment so I will be out again. We are supposed to get more snow tomorrow but it should not be that much since it will be a combination of rain and snow.

YAY! for potty training success.:banana: I am still working with DS on potty training. He just does not want to do it. He could be in a dirty pull up or underwear all day long and would not care.

Have a great party. Happy Birthday to your DS.

Marsha - have no fear I truly thought DD would break me - our older one was potty trained at 2 and this one had NO interest in it whatsoever. She would go so far as to say she was "TIRED OF THE POTTY"!!! She was something else - but when she was ready it was a breeze!!! They all have their own little minds (someone really should have warned me about that BEFORE I had them!!) and when they are good and ready and NOT before then we will know!!!

Terrie - that is quite a dilemma :lmao:. So many things to do, so little time. But we are the same way, only we live so far away and have to fly whenever we go.

I am grateful to be a 3 hour drive away. Flying makes it tough for sure. I know if we weren't somewhat local there's no way we'd be able to go as often. Then of course there's getting the time off. This whole "job thing" sure does get in the way of vacations :lmao:

Scott, I am sure you are right! We went during the holidays and it is NOT snowing here in Ft. Lauderdale :rotfl2: Happy Birthday to your DS!!! Yes, thank goodness for DVC. Because of DVC, I can justify the insanity of going for one night to MK in the summer, not go to a park during the day and only show up to watch the Main Street electrical Parade and the Magic Music Mayhem fireworks go back to the room, leave the next morning and feel a sense of accomplishment :rotfl: Hmmm, Brazilian entertainment :rolleyes1 I've read much on the DISboards about the Brazilian groups but have never had the experience myself.

Terrie :)

Yes, this "job thing" does get in the way, I agree! But we have to go there in order to be able to go to WDW at all! I need to win the lotery! :rotfl: (Fat chance in that though.)

Well, good news. DH got us a one bedroom villa down at Vero Beach the night before we sail on the cruise. We are so excited to stay there. We have visited there once but never stayed. We will only be minutes from our friends who live in Sebastian so hopefully we will be able to visit with them while we are there.

Is it September yet??????? Oh, wait, we only have 25 days until our next WDW vacation for Spring Break! Wilderness Lodge, here we come!

Yes, the job thing is a necessary evil  In my next life, I am checking the box that says "trust fund baby" or "lottery winner".

Oh how exciting. I stopped and visited the resort once when I had a class to teach up that way but have never stayed. Please give us a full report about your stay :thumbsup2

We are at 19 days until our next WDW vacation for the D23 Anniversary event and F&G! AKV savanna view. It will be DH's and my DM and DF's first time in a savanna view room. Wilderness lodge is next on my hit list when it comes to a bout of addonitis!

I am psyched about the itinerary we have considering it was not a trip planned well in advance. Here it is let me know your thoughts. Friday lunch at Sanaa and check in. Head to MK for D23 event which includes dinner, special announcements with imagineers, special viewing of Philharmagic and Fantasyland after hours. Next morning Segway tour off road at Ft. Wilderness (first time for my parents but they've done the Epcot one) then off to DHS. We will be using Fastpasses from GAD. Dinner at California Grill (parental units have never been). Then to DTD and late showing of La Nouba with the new act. Next day is Epcot F&G, lunch at Le Cellier and late dinner at HDDR. Check out Monday and head to DTD for some Earl of Sandwich, shopping and procrastinate leaving the Happiest Place On Earth.

Terrie :)

Hope you all had a great day. 30 weeks until we cruise...I can't wait!!!! I keep looking at our photos from our cruise...to keep my mind off the 30 inches of snow we got. This is one winter I won't forget anytime soon. I told Michael that I would like to move to someplace warm year round when we retire.
Have a good evening.

ATTENTION ALL PARTICIPANTS OF THE FISH EXTENDER EXCHANGE

As some of you already know, my computer had crashed and I had to start fresh with the spreadsheet. I sent everyone the new one last week but I don't have everyone's info on it. So, if you could please just double check it and email me with whatever info I am missing (DISboard name, stateroom number, etc.)

I apologize for the inconvenience...we now have our computer back up and running :cheer2: and we are operating on TWO hard drives so that if one ever crashes again we'll have all of our files copied onto the second one. Wish we would have done that before! :sad2:

And for anyone who hasn't signed up for the fish extender exchange and would like to, please send me an email to SSMemberCruise2010@Yahoo.com

I was thinking we could set a cut-off date of July 12, 2010. That way for those of us who are making home-made gifts, that gives us two months to get them done for all participants. How does that sound to all of you? Too early? Too late? Let me know. THANKS!!!

Good Morning all!!!

I had to laugh at you all discussing work. DD5 asked me the other day WHY I had to work and I told her so we could go to WDW!!!! That's what I tell everyone :rotfl: I only work to go on vacation!!!

Well here in SW PA our schools are CLOSED AGAIN!!!! Seriously at church yesterday our priest prayed for the parents of all these kids off of school - and I need MORE prayers - I am going to lose my mind. Another winter weather advisory for 5-8" of snow through tonight!:scared1::scared1: I told my DMom yesterday I was MOVING to Florida - I must have sounded serious because she said I could go but I couldn't take the girls - DON'T GIVE ME ADDED INCENTIVE!!!!!

When will this snow ever stop?????????????????????? :confused3

We got a couple more inches yesterday during the day and then about 3-4 more over night. I'm gonna punch the weather guy. He was excited that we are going for the all time record of snowfall in a season, 75". We are around 60" of snow so far. And we are under a winter weather advisory until 6:00 tonight.

The schools, so far, are just running a 2 hour delay here today. The roads are really slick and it is blowing pretty good out in the country. So, we'll see what happens there.

Disney, take me awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! :cloud9:
