Congrats to both of you. If I had only stayed up a little longer. :confused3

Thank you Milford!

That fantasy could come true on the cruise, except it would be a Johnny Depp look alike dressed as Captain Jack.

Congrats on getting the :bride:.

Suspension of disbelief is a wonderful thing :thumbsup2 Captain Jack, Here I come!!!

Thanks Marsha!

EXTRA THINGS TO PACK TO USE IN YOUR ROOM CONT.

31. If you can, either pack or send beforehand sand toys. The ones to purchase there can be expensive.

32. A portable hard drive if you don't want to bring your laptop and use it to download your pictures to each day using the shipboard computers.

33. If you are traveling with a baby, bring a couple of extra "binkies" or pacifier's of the type and brand your child likes. A lost binky can make a good day go bad really quick...

34. Get individually wrapped hand sanitizer sheets - they can clean almost anything. You can get them at most warehouse stores. You can also go to Smart and Final (or your local equivalent) and get individually wrapped moist towelettes, super handy and they pack small.

35. "Off" brand bug repellant makes towelettes which also come in handy if you are going somewhere where bugs are abundant.

36. Check your local dollar store for book lights. They pack really small and come in really handy.

37. Safety pins can come in super handy and also a needle and clear thread in case you need to make a quick repair on anything (like replacing a button or repairing a strap on your evening gown).

38. Small strips of Velcro - used this to keep our closet doors from sliding open and slamming shut with the movement of the ship.

39. Hydrocortisone for any rashes (e.g., rash from sand fleas) and Vitamin E cream for sunburn.

40. Don't forget the duct tape.

41. A pitcher with water filter instead of buying or bringing water on board.

Congrats on getting the :bride:.

Terrie & Christine - you two crack me up! I sat here on the computer watching for a half hour to see if anyone was online and posting anything. Nothing. So I wake up this morning thinking we will still have 20 some posts to go and you'll all get online while I'm at work. But nooooooo, you snuck on after I went to bed last night!:lmao:

By the way, I read somewhere that Johnny Depp's contract requires him to make so many appearances per year as Captain Jack Sparrow. So, you never know...he could be one of the guests on our cruise! The chances are slim (very slim), but you never know! We can :cloud9:, right? :goodvibes

Have a great day, everyone, I'm off to work. It's THURSDAY!!!!! :yay: One more day till the weekend!! I'm so ready for the weekend, too!

Ok, you wild and crazy rum drinkers last night, you went bazerk on here after I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and went to bed. Congrats on your :bride: and pirate: Terrie & Christine. I can't wait to meet you guys cuz you are so much fun on here. Just a hoot reading your posts this morning.

And Debbie - we can always dream that Captain Jack is really the real thing while on the cruise. My daughters would flip. Terrie would have to fight them off to get to him :goodvibes.

On my DH's vacation ticker that he uses he says that we are down to 49 days until we leave for Florida. We are leaving on Friday from here and going to be seeing friends down in Sebastian on Saturday, staying at Disney's Vero Beach then back up to the ship on Sunday. We are both so ready for a vacation. He comes and tells me every morning while I'm in the shower how many more days we have until we leave. He told me the luggage is coming up this weekend. See, he is very excited.

Congrats Terrie and Christine!!!

I can't beleive the late birds you two were....I was out in seconds!!!

I agree with meeting everyone Chris- I can't decide if I'm more excited about the cruise experience or meeting you all in person!!!

As the tips continue I am ever more thankful for my OL!!!

We not only keep toiletries in there but sand toys/floaties, a flashlight/tool kit, small flashlight, aloe, bug repellent, oh the list goes on and on!!!:cloud9:so great to know some of those things are there!!!!

Hi everyone....remember me.

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted.

Congrats to all who won :bride: and pirate:

Belated Happy Birthdays to all I've missed.:bday::cake:

Belated Happy Anniversarys to all..:flower3:

Michael and I are looking forward to the cruise. Time is really going by quickly. We became grandparents in March to a beautiful little girl. Love her so much. Her name is Brianna and she will be 4 months old.

A couple of weeks ago our German Shepherd Brando died. He was 11 years old...2 months shy of 12 years. We are heart broken. We miss him so much. We know he is in a better place now. Terrie you had posted to someone a while back who had lost their beloved pet....Rainbow Bridge....thank you for sharing that.

We will be shipping some of our things to the port so we don't have to carry too much in our suitcases. If anyone would like the address...let me know. We shipped our fish extender gifts, a small fan and some other odds and ends to the port last year and when we got to our cabin...the box was there.

Have a great day and take care.

I am excited too. We will be at SSR in 49 days.:yay::woohoo::banana: Tell your DH thank you for the countdown. For some reason, I did not think it was that close.

Hi Monika! Glad you popped in to say hello. Sorry about Brando. Dogs are so special.
Brianna is so precious. I see her picture on FB. I know you are loving being a grandmother. I cannot believe it has been 4 months already.

Hi Monika!!! Nice to see you back on. Congratulations on becoming grandparents. How wonderful.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Brando. He shares my brother's name. He is waiting for you at The Rainbow Bridge

Terrie :)

I really can't wait to meet everyone! It is one of the top things I am looking forward to :goodvibes

Fair warning, I am a hugger :grouphug: I know some people don't do hugs and will  over the thought  If your not a hugger give me advance warning :thumbsup2 In my culture (Cuban) we were brought up to give perfect strangers a kiss on the cheek upon first meeting them :love1: Don't worry I won't be doing that to anyone... well maybe Ian to freak him out, he totally deserves it for torturing me :rotfl2: but a hug comes pretty natural to me

Terrie :)

Hugs are fine with me. :thumbsup2

Last year, we were in WDW in Feb. '09 with our extended family. Another person who I had been chatting with on the '09 member cruise thread was there at the same time. We were both staying at AKV. She saw DH and went up to him & siad "hello" & then came over to me and we gave each other a hug like we were old friends who had not seen each other in a long time. This was our first face-to-face meeting. DH was wondering who was this strange woman. The other family members was wondering the same thing too. Once I told DH how we "knew" each otherhe explained to the other folks. It was a funny moment.

On the cruise, DH would come back to the room and tell me people were saying hello to him on the elevators or in the halls and calling him by his name. He knew it had to be my DIS buddies.

Monika - I am so sorry about Brando....:grouphug: for your loss!!

I am a hugger too - raised in an Italian family - I had to be careful when I started social work - you know there are boundries - :scared1::confused3:lmao::lmao:!!!!

I am glad there are other huggers!!

I am intriguied by the thought of mailing to port - we always ship a box of groceries when at WDW - now another thought!!!

Hugs are fine with me. :thumbsup2

DH is getting used to me talking about you all - he laughs when he doesn't know a name I say and says they must be from "your disney chats"!!!
