I have been lurking off and on this evening. Everyone must be out enjoying the cooler weather (ok at least its cooler here in Indiana).

I can't enjoy it because I caught a common cold. I have allergies and when it gets really dry out I get suceptable to catching things like the cold.

May be on later unless this cold medicine knocks me out for the night!

You're exactly right about our family being out enjoying the "cooler" weather here in Indiana! We went to a steam engine show at the Lake County Fairgrounds. It wasn't as spectacular as I thought it would be, but it was something different to do together as a family instead of sitting at home all day. I'm sorry you have allergies and a summer cold. Summer colds are the worst! Hope you're feeling better soon!!

WOW no one here for over 5 HOURS but ME

That's unusual after this past week's events, isn't it?! I was out and about all day yesterday. Literally from noon till midnight. It was great to go do our own thing without HAVING to be at a specific place for a specific event.

1. Names of all family members in the stateroom (in case anyone wants to make personalized gifts)

2. Stateroom number (so we know where to bring the gifts)

3. Ages and gender of kids (so people can make/purchase age/gender appropriate gifts)

Marsha, Thanks for posting this! Here's my suggestion: we can extend the deadline until July 17th. That gives another week. I know there are some that are making their gifts and that's why I suggested having a deadline of yesterday to begin with. But, I suppose if there are any late-comers then of course they could join in, but with the possibility of not getting some neat home-made gifts. We (the ones who are making gifts) would just find a neat store-bought gift for them. What is everyone's thoughts on that?

good morning all, another sunny day here going back up near 90 today just like yesterday. But not the humidity .
Debbie will you be sending the final update to everyone like you usually do. I know marsha posted the list but also was asking if to extend it until today.

i wonder how often the fe gifts get stolen. Must not be that often or people would stop doing it. We have never done it before. Ive seen all the doors just cant imagine people stealing stuff. Must be kids.

I'm not sure how often...I do see posts from time to time on here about it. Very sad because people put so much time and effort. I have a feeling the chances of this on our cruise are not as high because it's DVC members who IMO have families that know better than to do these types of things.. Also not to mention it's during school so there won't be as many teens on the ship. (Now watch, something will happen to MY fish extender!)

Question-On the cruise line Disboards many people said that their door magnets and FE were stolen or the FE gifts were taken out of their FEs. What is a good time to go around and give out our gifts? Vicki

I think a lot of people do it after dinner. There's no "correct" time to do it, a "good" time to do it is just whenever you feel like passing them out. I was doing mine at 1:00 am one night on our last cruise! It's been my experience that we go back to our room several times during the day, so no matter when someone leaves the gifts, they aren't in there very long.
