does anyone know what a dvc web event is i got something in my email about one

I did not know anything about it until I read a brief blurb in my email from mouseforless.

Attend a Disney Vacation Club webcast and get a free holiday lithograph valued at $14.95. Webcasts are scheduled for December 8, 10 and 12 with separate sessions for current and prospective members. Other exciting offers will be mentioned during the webcast. Space fills up fast. Advance registration is required.

I think only certain people get emails. If you do watch it, please tell us what it is about and what they offer.

I rsvp for the 12/12 i will let you all know what is about. the email talked about new incentives for adding on. me and my dh are looking to do that but was going to do it on ss members cruise. i was told it is the best time to do it

Close to thanksgiving and bumbed out because we are usually getting geared up for our holiday trip to DW. Just can't do it this year but the misses informed me I had better find a way next year lol. Anyway we will be first time cruisers not only for members cruise but for any cruise. Excited but what a process. Called at 8:59.45 and got to talk to cm right away then got disconnected when she put me on hold then an hour later got back on then another hour on hold, did not get the room we wanted but still can't wait. Any advice for the 2010 member cruise is greatly appreciated!!! Looking forward to meeting new friends!:cool1:

Hi & :welcome:. Please read the first post of this thread. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. Can't wait to get to know you better.

This will be my second members cruise and third cruise overall. DH & I have only cruise with Disney. We are looking forward to the 2010 members cruise. This year's cruise was so much fun.

Good Morning everyone

It's Monday...:banana: doing my happy dance:banana::banana: we are picking up our daughter this morning who attends American University in Washington, D.C. She will be home until Sunday. It will be great having her home again.

Marsha I am glad you got your car back. I hate being without a car. New Moon was really good and they did a nice job of sticking to the book. I am feeling better. I knew Edward and Jacob would be the best medicine :thumbsup2 I am looking forward to seeing Eclipse next year.

Mother nature is an incredible thing. We went in for an ultrasound on Monday and still saw at least 3 heartbeats and lots of movement and kicking. Mind you, the week before there were 8. Yesterday I took her in for the c-section. Nothing there  Within just a few days she had reabsorbed the rest of the puppies. As a breeder I know things like this happen when something is wrong and for that I am grateful :worship: I would rather she and I both be spared with the heartache of losing them after they are here. Last year when she had delivered puppy number 7 (out of 10) the puppy was stillborn and she started screaming and howling :sad1: and promptly stopped labor. We had to get the last 2 out by c-section. I could not imagine watching her lose a litter one by one after they have been born.

On the bright side, I have no litters planned for next year so I can focus on my Disney vacations instead, D23, DVC crusie and MNSSHP :cheer2:

Terrie :)

Hi Terrie...I am so sorry to hear about the puppies:sad1: How is she doing? I hope that she is okay.

:welcome: to the DISboards AND to our thread! Don't be so bummed about not going to WDW this year...you have a terrific vacation set for next year on DCL! Sorry you got disconnected when trying to book the cruise, but glad you got back through to get it booked! Even though you didn't get the room you wanted, you still got A room! The best advice I can give a new cruiser is this: read your navigator carefully (you'll get it in your stateroom each night at turndown) and choose what activities you think you'd like to do. Don't try to do everything there is....it's just too much and you won't get any R&R time. Walk around the ship and pay attention to all the detail. AND book another cruise while you're onboard! :thumbsup2 Also, go to the DCL trip report threads and read some...that way you'll get an idea of what everyone else has enjoyed and get some ideas of what you may want to do. And, of course, ask us on this thread...there are some "veteran" cruisers on here that are full of information. :goodvibes

Monika - That's so exciting that your daughter is coming home from college this week! Enjoy your time with her!!

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

I am curious about these as well. Looks like a new method to get us to sign on for add-ons. If anyone else knows what these are and if there are other reasons to attend these please let us all know. :cool1:

Good morning everyone!! Haven't been on in awhile work and getting Christmas started has interfered with my Disney needs.

So yesterday we booked a room at BWV BW view for the night of Jan 2nd. I think we are going to hang out at Epcot that night. Then the next morning we will set sail on our 1st Disney cruise.

Now I am going to go back and try to catch up on this thread, hopefully I won't be MIA so long this time.

That sounds like fun. We would like to do a December Cruise at some point. :)

Disrailfan, our only DCL cruise so far was in early December and was fabulous. The water was calm almost the whole time and we had great weather every day except for our CC day - which was cold and windy. The other 7 days were great though. And considering the week before it was as low as the 30's in Orlando we were loving the warmth and sun! I highly recommend one when you can... Plus you get Disney holiday decorations thrown in for free :rotfl: well as free as anything where Disney is concerned.

I think the webcast thing, if it's like the last one I heard about it, is largely just to get us to add on. But hey since I don't get an upcoming Disney fix till Sept. and I get a free lithograph I'm all for taking part. I signed up for 12/12. Hey it's only a small amount of my time I lose. Plus I'm always trying to find ammunition to convince DH to add-on - it hasn't worked yet unfortunately. Last time I heard about it and didn't get an email and was able to find a link I think on the DVC website and was able to sign up without being on the email list - in case anyone is interested in looking into it.

Hello All. I hope everyone had a good day. For me one day down, two more to go for my work week. I am in need of some relaxation. I am thankful that I do not have to cook this Thanksgiving. I am also thankful that I will be have and will be spending time with family and friends. What are you thankful for?

Hi all!! I am thankful for my family and friends as always:)!!
But I have to say this year I am very thankful for my husband :lovestruc I knew I married a great guy ( I am VERY high maintanance and he puts up with me!!) But we have had four different sets of friends divorce or separate just this year!!:sad1: We have definately become stronger trying to support these friends and be there for each other!!

On another note - we did get to have our date night - Cracker Barrel for dinner YUM!!! And the Christmas shopping for our girls - one of the things my DD5 asked Santa for is sold out EVERYWHERE:headache:!! So to ebay I go!!

BTW- we almost missed our date because DH could not get off the couch after the Steelers lost:mad::mad::mad::mad:!!! I have our Steelers gear packed for our trip.....but there may be some protesting if they don't start playing like the defending Super Bowl champs!!!

Good Night to all!!!

I got an invite to the webcast for DVC in my email today. They must have sent it out in batches...probably too many emails on the list and not a big enough server to support that many emails. :confused3

I hope everyone had a good Monday...my day went super fast at work!! Probably because I got to go shopping during work hours. :thumbsup2 Ok, so it was for bottled water for the office :rotfl2: but it was still a break from being in the office. :goodvibes

Good Morning! I am thankful for health and family and way too many blessings to count!

Terrie:)
