Just got around to listening to part 1 of the Magic Mountain episode and I have to clear up a common misconception.

Apocalypse, the other wooden roller coaster at Magic Mountain, IS NOT Psyclone with redone sections of track and themeing.

In 2007, the park closed and completely demolished Psyclone. The ONLY part of Psyclone that remained is the rides PLC room and until recently, the trains, which the park used to run Colossus Backwards with.

From late 2007 to around early Fall of 2008, the site witch Psyclone sat on remained empty. In October of 2008, the park announced and started construction on Terminator Salvation: The Ride, a NEW GCI (Great Coasters International) roller coaster. Terminator opened in May of 2009. Terminators name was changed in 2010 to Apocalypse when Six Flags dropped the licensing agreement with the Terminator franchise.

Thanks for the clarification.

Some of the drops seem similar to Psyclone though. Not NEARLY as jarring though...especially with the nice cushy seats.
